Reading, United KingdomFantastic Property, highly recommended
Left on 03/06/2013 for a stay in March 2012
We stayed at the Sundance in March of 2012 and I was very impressed with the property.
The rental isn't cheap but it's worth every penny.
The property was very clean, tastefully decorated, modern and yet still comfortable and welcoming.
The kitchen is stocked with the essentials and has the usual appliances.
Bedrooms are both very nice. Each have entry/exit out to the front or back patio areas and beds were very comfortable.
There was a grill in on one of the outside areas that we used to cook our dinner on a number of occasions.
The highlight of the property for us was the outside space. The pool and patio were just perfect and we spent the majority of our stay lounging in the sun or reading in the shade.
I wouldn't hestitate to recommend the property however we did experience some difficulty actually booking in the first place. We are located in the UK and had to make numerous calls to the rental agency to chase paperwork and confirmations. Once this was finally sorted everything else was a breeze, but it was very frustrating.
Having said that though we would love to go back. Tried booking again for March this year but they are fully booked :(... maybe next year -

annabanana1Gorgeous house but rental agency a disappointment!
Left on 03/02/2012 for a stay in January 2012
My husband and I invited my parents to join us for our annual trip to Palm Springs, Ca. The "Holiday Sundance" house is beautiful! Being an interior designer, I can be a real snob about decor but this house was tasteful, stylish, and comfortable. Although this is a twin-home you barely notice any sort of neighbors! The home feels secluded with amazing views and a lovely pool area solely for your enjoyment. While vacationing I love to listen to music so I was ecstatic at the music system wired throughout the house and outside at the pool area. The bathrooms were pretty well stocked with necessities although they could use some decent pool/beach towels. The kitchen was stocked modestly. If you are a serious cook you will be disappointed with the items provided but if you desire little more than poolside cocktails you'll be delighted by the many sets of drink glasses provided complete with mini drink umbrellas.
The house has two bedrooms and each bedroom has an en suite bath arrangement so it's a perfect set up for traveling in couples. The bedrooms were very comfortable and had nice security shutters to cover the sliding glass doors. The beds were quite comfortable - not too firm and not too soft. The pillows were also very comfortable and supportive.
The living and dining room area was nice and open so it was fun for dining and cooking time. The living room has a beautiful gas fireplace that heats the whole place up quickly. The dining room can host 4 people at the table and two people at a "bar" type counter.
My parents own a vacation rental in arizona so they can be awfully critical of vacation rentals but they really loved this house. My husband and I loved this house as well. The major disappointment in our rental experience was the rental agency. The first glimpse of their poor service was months prior to our stay. We booked this vacation rental in april of 2011 for a January of 2012 stay. In the late summer of 2011 when we booked our airfare the airline only offered direct flights in and out of Palm Springs on Fridays. We had booked our original stay at Holiday Sundance from Friday to the following Saturday. After booking flights for Friday to Friday I asked the agency if we could take the extra Saturday off of our booking as our stay was still over four months away. I was told that we could check out on Friday but we would still be charged through Saturday. This was a minor annoyance but wasn't the end of the world. When we arrived in Palm Springs someone met us at the rental and gave us a brief orientation of the house. One problem...they showed us how to heat the pool and hot tub..Incorrectly! We used the heater for the pool as directed by the rental agency but discovered that the hot tub was 104 degrees and so was the pool! Over our 7 day stay we only used the pool 2 times (due to cool weather/storms) and only heated it those 2 times yet we only got $187.00 of our $400.00 pool heating deposit back. On the last day of our stay the pool maintenance person came and I asked him about why the heater was heating both the pool and hot tub and he showed me valves that had to be situated a certain way to keep the pool and hot tub heated separately. These valves were never even shown to us by the rental agency and they are hidden in the decking of the pool under a plastic disk. We explained this whole situation to the rental agency upon check-out but they didn't seem to care that they gave us the wrong information which caused us to burn through so much $$ of our heating deposit despite the fact that we only used the pool twice.
This nonchalant attitude epitomizes the rental agency staffers were dealt with. On our second day in Palm Springs there was an extraordinary storm in Palm Springs and our house lost power for 6 hours. Of course, this was an act of nature and we completely understood that the rental agency couldn't control this disruption in our vacation. The frustrating part was that we called the rental agency the day after the storm to enquire about having the storm debris cleaned out of the pool. Our call was returned within a few hours and we were promised that the absolute latest the pool company would clean the pool would be on Monday morning (the storm happened on Saturday). We were perfectly happy with that as we knew the big storm created a lot of issues for the pool service people. On Tuesday at Noon when the pool people still hadn't been out my husband called the rental agency and the response he got was huffy and rude - like we were being unreasonable because we wanted to use the pool we were paying to rent and over-heat. The pool service finally came and cleaned out the pool so we could actually use it - it only took them about 30 minutes to completely clean the pool but it was frustrating that it took three days to get it done - especially when we were only at this rental for 7 days.
If you don't care about service or don't mind being treated like an inconvenience then you won't have an issue with this rental agency. As I said at the start of this review, the house is beautiful and wonderful but sadly I would never return to this home so long as the same rental agency is in charge. I hope the owners of this lovely home will swap agencies; if they do, we will be back! -

Not only is this property well decorated and beautiful to be in but the property is also totally private. The mountain views are spectacular and the private pool and spa were perfect! Can't wait to come back. This was a perfect Palm Springs holiday!
