Located in Palm Springs' celebrity neighborhood of Las Palmas, this approximately 2400 sq. ft., 4 bedroom, 3 bath home was formerly owned by the Marshall Field family. Situated on a large corner lot, this home offers complete privacy throughout. The sleeping area is located conveniently away from the living area. You enter this vacation rental home through a beautiful atrium.
The Palm Springs mountain views are spectacular from most of the rooms, as well as from the pool grounds. Just a few of the amenities include a gas fireplace and heated pool with beautiful views, desert landscaping, double garage, and security system. Come and see... Palm Springs at its finest.

The home is in a good location with great views of the mountains only a few blocks away. The house itself is a classic alexander with plenty of space and a wall of glass to the outside. Unfortunately I get the impression that the owner is only doing whatever maintenance is absolutely mandatory. Our overall impression was that the house was dingy. It had peeling wallpaper, stained carpet and furniture, and dull worn walls and trim. Fortunately it doesn't rain too much because the roof leaks in two of the bedrooms. One particular nuisance is that you can't open the dishwasher door all the way meaning you can't pull out the bottom rack. Outside, the pool has nice patio furniture but the yard and exterior reflect the same lack of care.
I called the rental agency to discuss our concerns and asked if someone could come to the house (5 minutes away) to see what we were talking about. They flatly refused to do this and said that we saw the pictures before we rented. They did send over the cleaners and window cleaners who were very apologetic for our situation.
Overall it's an OK space with just a lot of little things wrong. We won't be back.
Well-appointed, older but in good shape, quiet area of Palm Springs (but well-located), good linens. We used the laundry facilities and pool, appreciated the WiFi connectivity. We came in after-hours and had some difficulty with the key lockbox, but figured it out (could probably be replaced). We called the property management service about something (don't recall right now) and they were very responsive. Kitchen/dining/living area flows nicely, for a group of our size --good-sized dining room table.I enjoyed the privacy and the open space. The thing I liked the most was the sweeping, panoramic views of the mountains right outside our door! The amenities were excellent, and the living space was laid out so that everyone could move about without feeling like they were disturbing anyone else when we were all together. The bedrooms were spacious and I don't think there were many stairs, so that's good for older folks as well as children. It was close to town and I remember we went to a wonderful restaurant. There was a casino close by that some went to while others went hiking. I'd rent it again!

There were four women on our trip and we all enjoyed having our own room. We utilized the pool and jaccuzi every day which was well maintained. The kitchen although relatively small considering the size of the house was very clean and well stocked with supplies. The house was tucked back towards the mountains so there wasn't any traffic noise to interupt our quiet time. Great Place!
