A rare treasure surrounded by beautiful gardens and charming out
Left on 03/28/2013 for a stay in March 2013 | John
A beautifully restored home surrounded by fabulous gardens and authentic flora. The space was very useable and pleasant to stay in. The beds were comfortable, the showers were hot and the pool and hot tub were very enjoyable.
We would liked to have had a manual of instructions for such a large property. How to operate the TV, the air conditioning and the appliances. The security system was a challenge in opening the gate. Perhaps it would be easier to give the guests a code to punch in and not try to buzz people in. The telephone was jambed with messages when we arrived. It would have been a good idea to clear the system prior to arrival.
The garbage disposal was backed up when we arrived. We fixed it. The garage door openers were a challenge even for two individuals who own garage door companies. There was a lack of cleaning supplies and utensils. Juan, the garenere lent us his broom and we purchased dish cloths, cleaners and dish washer deteregent.
We loved the elegant furniture, but, would loved to have had placemats and coasters to protect the lovely wood. we purcashed plactic glasses to use on the outdoor patio areas.
This is such a fabulous property, I think that you should be very meticulous in your stewardship of it. We would definitely stay here again.

very cool house, but i didnt love it

I was dissappointed in this rental. I thought the house was cool and interesting but remarkably cold. Also, no curtains on the windows (so you'll get up with the sun) and no carpets on the floors - so its cold cold cold.
Mostly I was dissppointed because I asked over and over about my mother being in a wheelchair and wasnt ever told that there are 16 uneven stairs to get into the house. I felt like they didnt tell me the truth.
The grounds are beautiful. And the location is terrific.
I just didnt love it.
