      Absolutely the Best!!!

Left on 11/04/2012 for a stay in September 2012

We will never forget our stay at Canoe on the Lake with the wonderful accommodations, incredible views, and gracious hosts!!! Geri & Kevin gave us complete privacy, but were extremely helpful with making our week everything we hoped for with their knowledge of the area and their giving ways. Returning "home" after a day of exploring alaska was great in saving $ with complete kitchen and extras. Provided were movies, books, tourist guides, as well as the outdoor availability of dock, canoe, paddle boat, vests, and outdoor fire pit overlooking the lake. 5 stars to the accommodations and hosts!!! Thank you for extensive efforts for your guests!!!

I could not believe it and it was the best ever!

Left on 09/08/2012 for a stay in August 2012

The Chalet was everything we had hoped for. The facility was great, beds wonderful, views out the porch, lake down the hill, and beautiful forest. It was perfect. I was able to go catch as many trout as I wanted while the wife and sister slept. Best trout action ever and even caught an arctic grayling. Wow. Went everywhere we could for 200 miles in each direction and never had a dull moment. The Chalet is located in the most central location to all of the wonders of this area.
Kevin and Geri were the best hosts anyone could ever ask for and they know so much about the area and what to do. We are recommending this place to everyone we know. This was a once in a lifetime experience for us and we are so glad we chose this place.

My family and I have just returned from staying at this wonderful location. We live on the kenai peninsula and were looking for a comfortable place to stay in the Palmer/wasilla area while attending a family wedding. This place had everything you could wish for, a beautiful view, very comfortable living space, and it was stocked with anything you might need during your stay! It felt like home immediately and when it was time to go my teenage daughter begged to stay longer. The owners were great, thanks Geri and Kevin!

Revisiting alaska and it was like being home again!

Wow! this place was incredible. We were very skeptical booking off the vrbo website and not knowing anything about the place other than what was printed. We can tell from the week we spent there that it is well maintained, cleaned and has everything you could possible amagine. We found it to be very comfortable and close to town for groceries and anything else you might need. The owner Geri was pleasant, accomadating and there if you needed anything yet give you your privacy. We would defiantly suggest this location for your next alaska adventure. Geri thank you for making our trip specail. You need to make sure to eat at The White Spot in downtown anchorage off 4th street for the best Halibut burgers. If you drive north to Mt. McKinley make sure to stop in Talketna, the Denali Brew House has the best ever Seafood Chowder and the home brew isn't bad either.
