Description from the manager

Welcome to Splash 1404W

Let’s start with the bedding set up: King, Twin Bunk Bed, Queen Sleeper Sofa

This beachfront condo has the perfect set up for a small family. And it’s been decorated so that you really get the sense of being at the beach. But as nice as it is on the inside what you’ll really like is the view from the balcony. Just stunning. And you’ll find this just the place to enjoy your morning coffee. Bring your binoculars so that you can catch the Dolphins playing in the gulf.

The dĂ©cor is upscale but still gives you a sense of the beach. And it makes the most of the room in every room. Thereâ...Read more

      Just OK

Left on 10/09/2012 for a stay in October 2012

In my opinion, the condo was just OK. It was clean although for the entire week, both sinks in the bathrooms would clog and drain slowly. That bothered me all week. The mattress in the bedroom was very uncomfortable to both my husband and I but if you like a good firm mattress, that would not be an issue for you. The pools were very cold despite the 80+ degree weather. We stayed in late September/Early October so I thought it was just a little too early for cold water. The pools were supposed to be heated but the heaters were down and no one seemed to be concerned about the fact that they were not working. Also, the resort advertises their splash pad, 3 pools and lazy river. The lazy river claim is a stretch. There is one but it is about as big around as a normal size residential swimming pool. You can go all the way around it in less than a minute. The splash pad was nice and kids seemed to have fun playing in it. One of the 3 pools is part of the lazy river so I did not really count that as 1 pool. The other pools were small in my opinion for a resort of that size. Overall I was dissappointed because we booked there because of the water attractions for our 8 year old. She did not have as much fun there as we had hoped. These are just some of the things I would have liked to have read before booking at this resort.

Room was not the same as reserved.

Left on 09/11/2012 for a stay in September 2012

The room that I looked at online and reserved was not the room that we were given. I'm very dissapointed in the room that we were given. I will be contacting management and will not use this reservation company again.

Sooo glad I found this place, we'll be coming every summer!

Left on 06/08/2011 for a stay in June 2011

We have stayed the past few summers at a near by resort that is part of a chain. That resort was supposedly 'family friendly', however, with 2 children, at the time of our stay our oldest 7 and the other son was 8 months. Our 7 year old is severely asthmatic. We contstantly saw patrons of that resort smoking poolside and no hotel staff ever enforcing the 'no smoking' policy. The other problme we'd had was noticing, in the wee hours of the am, people putting a towel down on a poolside chair, then going back to their room. We'd come up from the beach around 9 and moved a towel that no none was sitting at. At around noon, the person that put the towel down, decided to come down and was angry that his towel had been moved. He said, as a long-time patron, this was an unspoken rule. To assure yourself a chair, you had to 'claim' it early in the am with a towel. Even the front desk acknowledged this practice and seemed unconcerned to change anything. So, nevertheless, this year, we scoped out a new vacation spot in the same area, more kid-friendly and less unspoken silly practices.

I got a great deal on this condo, unit 1904W. It was less expensive than the hotel that did not have a full kitchen. When we arrived, the signs were easy to follow to check in, and the front desk was very helpful. The crosswalk from the parking deck was hot, but they were aware of this and working to correct it. We got up to our unit and were thrilled at how big and nice it was. The master bed & bathroom were fabulous and the garden tub a welcome site. Our 8 year old loved the bunkbeds. The unit even had a slow cooker which we used to make a roast one day! They had a vacum, which helped us keep the sand undercontrol with kids' stuff, along with toddler crumbs. The only thing was the vacuum probably woke all 21 floors cause it was so loud, but it worked! Everything was very clean. And I was so pleasantly surprised they had outlet covers available, which was huge to us with a small toddler that loves to try to stick things in them. They had all the amenities of home and I loved this unit. The only thing they could've used was a new dustpan. :)

The resort was very strict on their poolside rules, which I preferred. They constantly checked pool bands to assure only customers of the resort were poolside. They had signs posted that said, "towels dont save chairs people do" and I was tickled! Just what we needed. I only saw one person smoking and she was leaving the area. The only other negative thing was that the arcade area for kids apparently had a broken aC unit, which the part had been ordered but wouldnt arrive till we were gone. So, next summer, hopefully we'll be able to stay more than 10 minutes in the arcade. I loved being able to check out new release Dvds for free!

We couldnt have had a more enjoyable vacation, which is taken this week every year to celebrate our daughter, Layah's short life. She was born on 06/02 and died only 6 days later. This resort made our reflection time, relaxing, refreshing and fun for our kids. Plus, the pink hibiscus flowers they had around the lazy river, are exactly like the memorial tattoo i have for her. It was just confirmation we'd picked the right place!

      Almost Perfect

Left on 08/23/2010 for a stay in August 2010

Splash is almost perfect but the biggest Flaw was the walk way from parking garage and elevators are NOT air conditioned. Our room was very nice but there isnt any storage for food that didnt go into fridge but we set up the laundry board in laundry area and used that and it worked fine.

      Very kid/toddler friendly!!

Left on 06/08/2010 for a stay in June 2010

The biggest problem for us with this particular room was that there was NO PHONE and VERY little cell phone service (unless you stood on the balcony or one spot in the kitchen) so it was very difficult to communicate with the other ppl in our party or reserve any excersions, get ahold of our children, etc. This condo was beautiful as far as size and decor, however there is NO room for groceries that are not refrigerated. (Tip: I set up the ironing board in the laundry area and used it as a shelf) Splash in general is GREAT for toddlers or young children, because that's what the pool area is designed for, almost all in shade..(not for teenagers & we had 8 in our party) Kind of a pain not to have the rental place on site, but worth the price discount. These things may not be important to everyone, but just thought I would put it out there. We still had a great time and loved the location. Highly recommend walking to the Pasta Grill & Bakery!

This Resort was the best place I have ever stayed at! The kids had an absolute ball! The beach was absolutely beautiful, we saw sooo many stingrays from our balcony, and when the weather didnt wanna cooperate on our 2nd day, the indoor water park was so much fun! Me and my hubby enjoyed the lazy river. The condo itself was beautiful. The king size bed was super comfy. I usually dont sleep much away from home, but I did here! The kids loved the bunk beds. We will definitely stay here again! I hope to take my parents and sister next time! only thing is if you plan on staying more than a few days, you will definitely need to bring extra garbage bags and papertowels, but I do that anyways! Love It!
