My family and I have rented the condo in panama city beach florida from Southern Vacation Rentals for our last two fall visits. We have enjoyed it very much. We had a slight issue with plumbing the first night we got there and called. Our problem was taken care of within 1 hour. Great place to stay. Accomodations were great. Customer service and communication was excellent. We will be back next fall.

I just spent a long weekend visiting a friend in #518 and it was great! It isn't beachfront, but from the balcony and living room you do have a nice view of the ocean. When it was pouring rain we could still sit on the balcony and if we'd been oceanfront I'm not sure we could have. The rain was pouring off their decks. The bed was comfortable and we had everything we needed. The water dispenser on the fridge could have been cleaner.

The apartment itself was good and well postioned with afternoon sun not into the windows; not exceptionally clean, though (dust on doors and floorboards, dirty table on the balcony). The bedding and towels are worn out and should be replaced. Checking in and information was great! Plenty of dishes and flatware in the kitchen was excellent! Would be nice to have couple more dishwater tablets - they cost pennies, but it looks better. All in all, a decent place to stay. Thank you!

We booked Tidewater 518 because my 2 daughters and I were in PCB for the softball world series. We were pleasantly surprised upon entering the room. The location of the room was perfect for us - I could watch my girls swimming while I relaxed on the patio. Who doesn't like a Gulf view?! The only downsides were the wait for the elevators and the cleanliness of the stairwells - there were eggs splattered all over the walls and garbage.

Ithought we were staying in an ocean front condo and it was back off to the side. I felt like I was in a cave. We could only see part of the ocean. The condo itself was ok except it felt like a Dr's office or something. No personality. We left a day early. We so needed to get away. This was not the place for us. We needed to be able to see the ocean and after driving 8 hrs to get there thats what we wanted.

Overall..this was a nice place to stay. A little small. Elevators were horrible, but that is not the owners problem. That's a problem that Tidewater needs to address. Glad we were only on the 5th floor. Used stairs alot.
View was not as great. I thought this was a oceanfront view and was not. -

The decor was nice. It was just enough room for a family of four. But they need to clean or replace the water spick on the refrigerator door,it had mildew in it. Also the place (Tidewater) it was nice, but the only thing that bothered me was when we decided to go to the pool, people had placed towels on chairs to save them, but weren't even out there to use them until hours later. Its just rude for people to do that when you aren't going to use the chairs till hours later.

When my husband & I arrived at Tidewater for our honeymoon, we were pleasantly surprised at how nice the resort was. We were so happy that we had booked this resort & the views were amazing! As we continued to stay, it got worse. Firstly, the property offers shopping carts & luggage carts to help move everything from the parking garage across the street to your condo...brilliant! The very first night that we were there as soon as we layed in the bed (we weren't in it for 2 minutes) the bed broke. We had to spend the first night of our honeymoon on the very uncomfortable pullout sofa bed. Also, there was nothing there that we needed for our stay. We had to go buy paper towels, toilet paper, garbage bags, etc. Also, there was no pantry. There was a locked storage closet that we did not have access to. Too bad, it would have made the perfect pantry. Also, the only lock on the door was a keypad, nothing else on the exterior or interior of the condo. We felt incredibly unsafe. Any crazy could just crack the code & get in. We would have loved a chain lock atleast. Also, free wi-fi came with the unit, but they didn't leave us the information such as the username, etc. I was so mad that I had to wait till the 3rd day we were there to get that information, because I couldn't even view my wedding pictures that I was so antsy to see. Also, one day during our stay one of the chair legs fell off, we were able to fix it but everything seemed to fail apart. There is no smoking anywhere on the property. Even the parking garage. I totally understand no smoking in the unit, as a smoker, I hate the smell of a smoky house, but not even on your balcony? Come on! Everytime we wanting to smoke, we had to go to the beach. It was freezing the first part of our trip. Also, they have "quiet time" between 10pm & 2pm. It seemed a little like kindergarten to me. We rented an electric scooter while we were there & were told by the security guard that they weren't allowed.

We were irriated that we only got 2 rolls of toilet paper for our entire trip. No paper towels, coffee filters or dish soap either. It would be nice to have these as we have been other places that have had these!

Location on the beach was awesome, room design very well done as was the decorating of the unit. I was very happy with my rate.
My mattress was even great, it was a Simmons.
