A two bedroom two bath Gulf Gate Condominium. Gulf Gate is a family friendly, beach front complex, located off of Thomas Drive. It offers a beautiful view, pool, elevator, and a secluded feeling. If you are looking to have a peaceful vacation away from the hustle and bustle of the main strip, yet still be with in a short drive of shopping, restaurants and other attractions, Gulf Gate is the perfect choice.

We like this place so much that we made a return visit. My grown Daughters and I just feel very comfortable at Gulf Gate 302. The kitchen is fully stocked, great baking and cookware. The property is very well kept. The location is close to everything you need, from resteraunts to shopping and of course, the beach!

I asked my 8 year old son what his favorite part of the vacation was and he said "Walking into the condo and seeing the ocean out the back!!" We had a wonderful view, so nice to just walk out of the complex right on the beach! I have 4 children, ages 8 to 18 and they all had an excellent time. The condo looked exactly like it did in the photos on the website, very comfortable. We will definitely be back!

Having never personally seen the property we were prepared for the worst knowing it was an older property and knowing all the stigmas an older property carries. And then we punched in our key code and all those thoughts just flew out of the door we had just opened...Wow! We were blown away! Everything was clean, organized and the pride that was and is taken in this property was evidently clear. The feeling we had was as if a real good friend gave us their place Tod use for the weekend and said, " make yourselves at home". And that is exactly what we did.
Although our stay was short it was wonderful and we are determined to be back. We were so close to all the restaurants and attractions yet felt secluded S we were away from the somewhat organized chaos of the larger condos where everyone is crammed on the beach, they can have it...
On a final note, I slept like a baby! All too often the sleep in a hotel is the worst as they have mattresses that would make a coffin inviting as an alternative, but our bed was a vacation in and of itself! Thank you Mixon Properties, I guess the best compliment I can give is in saying that we will be back! -

Everything about our stay at this condo was perfect! No complaints from this family. It was equipped with everything that we needed. Beautifully decorated and in excellent condition. The location on the beach was great - much less congested than others in close proximity. It is within walking distance, approximately 3/4 mile (beachside), to spinnakers, which is a terrific restaurant and "hotspot", and also to Club LaVela - which is claimed to be the largest nightclub in the world!

We have been staying in this same unit for 10 or 11 years. Each year we have stayed for 3 or 4 months and consider it our winter get away. There has never been an issue or situation occur that was not promptly addressed and corrected. We value our connection with Mixon Properties and consider them friends after all the years of service they have rendered us.

This condo is located on the eastern edge of Panama City Beach in a relatively quiet and uncrowded portion of the beach. This was fortunate because Panama City Beach is a huge college spring break destination, and within walking distance the beach was very crowded, especially in the afternoons. The resort had a small shaded pool - great if you are traveling with younger children. It had hoses for rinsing sand off before returning to the condo and clean restrooms. There were beach chairs set up for rent each day - kind of expensive and inflexible.
The condo itself has a balcony with a great view of the beach and the sunset. The unit was in need of a good deep cleaning (for example, the dresser drawers were dirty, there was mildew in the shower, the kitchen backsplash was messy), though it was surface clean when we arrived. My family did not mind this, but it bothered me. The only problems we had were with the internet, which only worked early in the morning for the beginning of the week and the entry code which did not work at all. (Bring the property emergency number with you if you are arriving out side of office hours).
There were worthwhile places to go within driving distance: St andrews State Park (we saw alligators in the pond), Camp Helen State Park (bring beach chairs and make a day of this) and Ecofina creek (nice kayaking trip).Response from Mixon Properties Resort Rentals - 04/30/2012

The bath shower rods and nozzles were caked with some gunk/rust. The kitchen sink disposal did not work. Something was wrong with the kitchen faucet. We've loved staying at Gulf Gate and in 302 in years past, but it seems to be falling behind in presence and updates while costing what newer condos charge. We provided similar feedback in our checkout information sheet.
