My room was clean and spacious with great views over the city. The staff and management were great and upgraded me to a studio. i arrived late at night and had ordered a pickup but as my fight was late there was no pickup but as ever in Panama a taxi was easy to arrange. Excellent wifi reception. Location is nice and quiet although cafes and shops are a 7 min walk away..
I would happily stay here again. -

We stayed at City Suites for a month and it was the best choice we have made so far. The staff was very attentive to our needs, making sure we felt comfortable in our apartment. If there was anything we needed they were always at our service. Our place was cleaned every day of the week m-f with fresh towels and sheets. They made us feel at home.
The location of City Suites is perfect for any traveler!
We would definitely stay here again!

The accommodations at City Suites were nice, clean and modern. The surrounding area is very safe residential neighborhood, but there are really no restaurants and cafes in the immediate area. There are plenty down Via argentina about 1/2 mile walk away. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would recommend City Suites.

My first accommodation, a single room, was not as positive. The sheets were old and had the balling of threads, so uncomfortable. Request to change sheets was not accommodated. There was no bedside lamp in room and asked for one but not provided. Bright overhead light was uncomfortable to read by in evening.
On return after 6 day tour, I was given a "mini suite" rather than a single room which was not available. This was a much nicer room. Sheets were fresh and clean. Still no lamp in this room. Requested but not provided; however, was able to relocate a lamp the next morning from another person's room who was in my tour group.
Staff was friendly. Safe location to walk in area.
I would stay there again. -

On my recent trip to Panama I stayed at City Suites with my girlfriend and found everything to my liking. The rooms are a little basic but the price is very reasonable for what you get. The building is located in a residential neighborhood which is very safe & close to a good amount of restaurants/bars. Also we found the staff to be extremely helpful (and super responsive) with accommodating us and all of our vacation needs. Would definitely recommend this to someone that wants a basic & quiet place to stay in Panama City.

This is a very busy apt building,lots of foreighners who work in Panama city stay there,some with wife and kids,it's a very basic place,if you are looking for the comfort of a luxury hotel then it's not the place for you.The staff were very helpful especially the night guard (Ricardo),he gave us a lot of helpful information.

Ya me he alojado antes, esta vez fuimos tres familias con adolescentes, niños y bebes. Nos tenian todo listo, el lugar muy comodo, la ubicacion super centrica, el trato cordial y familiar, la limpieza bastante buena, cuentan con estacionamiento.El precio es muy razonable. Totalmente recomendable. Pienso regresar a hospedarme en el mismo lugar.

Estuve en Panama por mas de mes y rente un apartamento con una recamara. El lugar esta muy bien ubicado en una muy buena zona, segura y centrica, el edificio es algo antiguo pero dentro de los apartamentos se olvida uno se eso, muy bien decorado, comodo y limpio, definitivamente lo recomiendo para estadÃas cortas y largas. El personal de administracion y servicio muy atentos, ninguna queja, no duden en preguntar y quedarse alli. La relación calidad precio, increible.

We stayed with Panama City Suites for four nights, and plan to stay a few more at the end of our trip. Our room was an excellent value for the price. We had a small kitchen, which was perfect for preparing meals with groceries from the market down the street. We really enjoyed the neighborhood, and felt extremely safe walking around at night. All of the employees in the office were incredibly friendly and helpful. Alfredo went out of his way to make sure we had an excellent stay (calling taxis, researching the bus schedule, navigating the neighborhood). We really appreciated his volunteered information and assistance.

We needed a short term rental that would allow dogs and were lucky to find City Suites in El Congrejo. We stayed in a studio apartment for 2 weeks and were very satisfied with the accommodations. It is very difficult to find a hotel that will accept pets, especially one that is clean and in a good area of town. We were close to many restaurants, and markets in town. The area is very safe and the staff was very helpful. Just about everyone on staff spoke excellent English which was very helpful since we know very little Spanish. They are remodelling several of the units, so sometimes it was a little noisy during the day, but not unbearable. There is street traffic noise which is expected in the city. I would recommend City Suites to my friends and we would stay there again. It's particularly great if you are travelling with pets.

The room was spacious and provided many of the comforts expected in a rental except for one personally important thing. No consistent hot water!! Unless you can shower in 5 seconds or enjoy the sudden surprises of scalding and cold water this wil be a problem. I had mentioned this to the staff and was told that this is intentiona in order to conserve costs. This is a flawed idea I wasted more water waiting for bareable water temperature than if the heater was working properly. The staff is great as most reviews stated and is a good value just need to fix the water temperature problem and everything will be right. Would stay here again if they correct this issue.

The unit we stayed in is on a floor facing the street. Early in the morning and during the day, we could clearly hear the cars honking from the street due to traffic. So hard to sleep in later than 6am after a night out.

Had a great time, being born in Panama and haven't been back in a long time was a wonderful experience for my Wife and myself, My Wife is from Puerto Rico and she enjoyed every day we were there, My youngest sister referred me to City Suites and we loved it, The Manager alfredo was very courteous and very helpful so was the rest of his staff, we plan on going back next year and City Suites is our place of choice, we have already referred the place to a few friends and will be taking some with us on our next trip.

I found City Suites while still working in Japan so I booked via a real estate broker. At arrival day, they sent me a taxi as promised (Cost taxi ex airport to Panama city USD 38)driver also gave me the flat keys (maybe because I arrived at midnite). I lived there along 90 days. Clean service is daily, blankets and toiletries are renewed every second day. In the booked room you have 01 matrimonial bed, a small living room with low table and sofa, a 32" LCD Tvset, wifi and a/C. In same arrangement you have a kitchnette totally furnished: glass table and chairs, gas oven, microwave, a 13" refrigerator, sink, cuttlery and dishes, shelves to store food. Also a closet and a shower. The flat is decorated as pictured on website. No telephone extension on rooms. Noisy elevators and overhauling neighbour. You have to think and decide how long you will stay. I booked on a montlhy basis, whose amount matched the offer. So if you change your mind in between, you should honor the time otherwise you could be charged on a weekly or daily basis, which is higher of course. My flat was on 5th floor so there was some leakage by windows and walls because of heavy rain season, but the two times some water leaked I was attended, however be careful where you put you luggage because it could become wet as happened to me. Scheduled maintenance of a/C equipments ocurred on my stay. If a need by travel conditions, ask in advance to receive a bill otherwise you could receive a receipt. Management is easily accesible, kind and english spoken. One parking place for renters. Watchmans on 2 swifts on 24/7 service. Wifi and cable TV may be sometimes erratic because of rains. Basic services such as dry cleaning, mini supermarket, travel agency, banks, photocopy, cybercafe and restaurants are between 5-10 minutes walk. Quiet zone, patrolled because there is a school on the block. Find your taxi, some who service them played the smart with me, once, but it was not City Suites fault. Good for business.

We loved it! Excellent location. You will find local bars, restaurants, shops, drugstores and supermarkets on walking distance. Alfredo, his son and Keila are wonderful hosts. We have to return to Panama and we are going to stay in City Suites for sure.

La estadia en el Hotel en terminos generales fue buena. Buena localizacion, el servicio relativamente bueno, las habitaciones chicas pero...por el precio no se puede pedir mas que eso. Se los recomiendo si la idea es para solo asearse e ir a dormir ya que anteriormente era un edificio de apartamentos que lo han modificado y hecho 3 habitaciones separadas por cada apartamento dentro del los propios apartamentos. Si la idea es utilizarlo para dormir e ahorrar $$$ se los recomiendo.

i stayed at Panama City Suites for 2 weeks. I chose one of the mini studios. It was comfortable, it had aC but i had one big issue: the shower. There was a serious problem with the water heater, therefore taking a bath could go from a very pleasing to a very stressful moment. They tried to fix it, but the problem persisted. If you´re looking for comfort, then you should probably go somewhere else, breakfast is not included and there´s no laundry room. but if you´re more of an independent traveler and like cooking, the kitchen is properly equipped and nice... and well of course, the price is very affordable!

First time in this establishment. Like I said in the title I had a regular stay, I asked for wireless pin for internet service for my laptop the night I arrived, sending a message to the number of client´s service, never had an answer, then I was so busy I didn´t ask again, I managed only with blackberry. No courtains of any kind in area of closet / kitchen (which is next to the bath), having a school building in front of the window (5 mts distance) , I had to put some plastic things that were for dish drying in windows to have some privacy.
Also I found a little cockroach walking near the bed (disgusting). No Hot water, at least not for me...(that didn´t bother too much because Panama is hot) and finally the day I had to leave (Saturday 9 am) it was 9:15 and the guy/gal of the front desk didn´t arrived so I had to call to the client´s service and ask what to do and the girl told me to pay (in cash of course) to the janitor or whatever he is.
Finally location of the hotel it´s not the best, no taxis outside or passing tru, I always rent a car and for me It´s not a big deal that it isn´t near to business district (Obarrio, Marbella), but for those who don´t rent prepare to walk half a block to grab a passing cab. -

The staff (all the staff) has cared for us, making sure we had everything we needed and that the stay would be comfortable. We were upgraded without additional cost and really enjoy our stay. Walking distance to shopping and dinning makes it very interesting for visitors. The most appreciated part was the quiet and safe neighborhood. There is also a casino nearby for those interested. Free secured parking space under the building. Hope to return sooner than later. By the way the pictures on the Website speak for them self and are accurate. The best place your money can buy.

We loved the restaurants, shops, and park within walking distance and paid less than $200 for three nights. However you'd get the most out of this place if you stay for a while and really settle in to the apartment. Our kitchenette lacked basic things like matches to light the stove and a shelf/cabinet for dishes.
There is a daily maid service and the owner was attentive to our requests, but otherwise they seemed predisposed to just give us our keys and leave us alone. Overall satisfactory place, just don't expect the level of service you'd get in a hotel or guesthouse. -

Despite we had some issues with the check in because they forgot to leave the key and it was Saturday, the problem was solved in half an hour. Very comfortable, very clean and great view. Secure neighborhood near bars taxis and stores, cheap and great customer service. Recommended!

I arrived in the evening after the office was closed but they had a caretaker waiting for me and I got to my room with no problem.
Locating the building was a bit of a problem as the airport taxi driver did not know the place and it is my first time staying here.
The location is in a quiet residential neighbourhood but within walking distance to Via argentina. The building is back-to-back to the Duran Coffee factory, so during the day, the aroma of freshly roasted coffee fills the air when you step out of the room.
The room is clean and the bed comfortable. The hot water supply in my room was tepid though. It was somewhat noisy during the day as there were some renovation work going on but it was quiet at night. There was a couple of nights where some neighours were having a party and played music loudly for several hours.
The office staff speaks English and are most helpful. Laundry service is out-sourced but the service is good and reasonably priced but you only get your clean laundry back the next day. They were very accommodating with the check-out time.
Overall, with free wi-fi, cable tv, a mini-fridge, and some crockery and cutlery provided, City Suites Panama give very good value. -

I stayed in the studio with full kitchen. Located on a quiet residential street. Within minutes to walk to the bars & restaurants on Via argentina plus or a small market & bakery in the other direction. Nice furniture, comfy bed, fully furnished kitchen and appliances, free wifi. Unit could use some more finish out to drywall. It looks like a work in progress. Curtains let a lot of light in so bring an eye mask.

The room was very small and the kitchen area even smaller. Toilet area was extremely uncomfortable to use. The shower was very nice. The management team was receptive and prompt in taking care of issues raised. The price for what was received was not good and we will not be staying at this venue again nor would we recommend this to someone else.

We needed an extended stay because we were between a lease and delivery on a new apartment. We found City Suites on Cragslist and have been quite happy. Rent is affordable which is difficult to find in this particular area of Panama. The Cangrejo area is pretty lively and quite popular with tourists and expats. We enjoy taking a nice long walk at night because of the cooler temperatures after sunset and this area is quite safe because of the clientel and the highly visible and heavily armed security. The building is old and could use a remake but is kept in very clean condition. There is a security guard present 24 hours a day. We found the staff to very courteous and helpful. We would definately recommend this hotel to someone on an extended stay who was looking for reasonable rates.

As expected, the accommodations were basic, which was fine. The problem was getting in to the accomodation. We arrived around 10 p.m. on Friday and there was no one to give us our key. I had read a review that this was a problem. But after confirming many times, I thought this wouldn't happen to us. But, it did! As we first arrived on vacation in Panama, we get to the hotel to wonder if we'd ever get in. Thankfully, after waiting about 20 mins., the front door man arrived and did have our key. Phew! The room seemed fine until I looked at the toilet. It was not clean and it didn't look like it had been cleaned. I had to clean it to use it - yuck! At no fault of the facility, we realized that we booked the wrong kind of accommodation. Since we had never been to Panama City, we had several questions. Since the City Suites office was not open in the evenings, nor Sundays, we had no one to answer our questions. We decided for our next trip to a new city that we should stay somewhere that has a 18-24 hour desk, in case we had questions. We then left luggage at City Suites while we traveled, since we had made a previous reservation to return. We returned on a Sunday evening and again found that there was no security person. This time we waited an hour. We would have stayed somewhere else, but City Suites had our luggage and we were due to leave early the next morning. Talk about stress! After waiting an hour, we dragged our luggage to town and tried calling City Suites, to no avail. Then we found an Internet Cafe and e-mailed them. Then we walked back with our luggage to City Suites and happened to find the manager in the parking lot. Again Phew, but OMG! We were totally stressed at that point wondering if we had a place to stay, but more importantly if we'd get our luggage before we left. City Suites is a fairly expensive place to stay, with a decent location, but not worth the stress. It was vacation...no stress is welcomed.

Thank you for your comments, we really appreciate when a customer has also not so good things to say because it helps us evaluate our performance and correct or improvement any worngs.
First we would like to apologize for the inconveniences that you had to go through during your stay with us.
Although we do not have a 24 hour open reception desk, we have made a phone line available for questions or assistance (507-394-4000) during and after office hours (including Sundays).
In other words, if we had known you were facing these type of issues (key, toilet cleaning) not matter the day or time, we would have tried to solve them as soon as we could.
Please note that this is not to excuse ourselves, but we would have definitely tried to help you right away and/or make it up to you so you would still be happy with our service, despite of these inconveniences.
In regards to the room, we must say that we granted you an upgrade from a single room to a mini studio at no additional cost as courtesy of City Suites because we were fully booked during the days of your stay. Therefore, we are not sure to understand why you mention that you had booked the wrong accommdation. Note that we also had many other different options of accommodation to offer which we are sure you would have also liked.
In conclusion, if we had known you were facing some issues during your stay, we would have reacted inmediately and compensate you for any inconvenience you may had gone through.
We really hope you can give us another chance to prove you we can do better and that we do not take for granted the reviews that our clients give us.

I am very grateful to the good folks at City Suites. I stayed for a week, and found the entire staff to be gracious and helpful. City Suites is also one of the few pet friendly places to stay in Panama City. Yes, there are others, but the Central location with many services and restaurants is wonderful. A little congested for those of us not used to City living, but a desirable location nevertheless with almost everything within walking distance.
My stay was due to the need to have a good place to stay with our sweet dog Maggie, who had to have eye surgery only available in Panama City. They treated Maggie as an honored guest, which was very much appreciated as she was a very stressed little dog due to being blind.
Thank you to all of the Staff at City Suites, for you flexibility, concern, and friendliness. City Suites has my endorsement. -

Don't even know were to begin so let me just say this, I wasn't able to make my flight due to the birth of my daughter but from the very start keila and I were in contact via blackberry emails lol everything was set up including pick up service from the airport, payment was made in full via paypal so when I had to cancel my stay the payment was returned with a one night stay fee,small price to pay with the time and effort put in by the staff, so in a nut shell not only will I be booking with city suites on my next vacation but next time around I will have my entire family with me. To the staff thank you for your professionalism and keep up the quality work.

This is a very small condo - a bedroom with a desk, frig, and a bathroom. If someone's concern is safety, be advised that there were, I recall, 4 different keys! To me, it was just too much. It had a nice bathroom. The best thing was there is wifi - although they forgot to give me the password when I checked in. I liked this area, I walked to the corner and on that street, Via argentina, there were restaurants and people walking around and a great statue of Einstein! I was comfortable there. I recommend the Green House restaurant across Via argentina from Einstein. I had great soup with Corvina!

I left Panama over 42 years, and my nine years of military service, I was able to visit Europe, the azores, Puerto Rico, Canada, and several others places, I have also stayed in other so call upscale places, i.e., Ejecutivo hotel, Tower House suites, and couple others, however, here at City Suites, from your initial call to Ms, Kiela Salazar, and when I met the administrator, they just came across natural warm, & friendly, and detail, and the staff, was all great, great security, everything was on the money, I felt at home, I really love every minute of it, I am already looking forward to my next stay there, and this is a place you just can't beat it. I enjoyed it, "It's the real deal, yes, in every aspect.

This place was clean, affordable, and in an excellent location, with restaurants and shopping nearby. There is a little kitchenette in the room, as well as air conditioning and a hot shower. The room was cleaned for us daily. Loved it.

It was a very nice vacation, the location is very close to many restaurants, bars, discoteques and places to go shopping. City Suites is a really nice place to stay in Panama.Lot of comfort and good service. If I go back to Panama I will go for sure to City Suites.

Very nice and clean studio with fully equipped kitchenette. All the ammenities required by modern travelers are included at an affordable price. Great location close to the restaurant, hotel, casino, and shopping area of Panama City. Hotel staff very friendly and accommodating. Would definitely stay there again. I stayed here for about 5 days following a trip to the countryside.
Great central location in Panama City. Good restaurants not far from the apartment which are easy walking distance. Management was very helpful and recommended good highlights in the area. They also have good high speed internet.
The apartment was furnished adequately and I found it very comfortable. During my stay, there was construction going on in the building, but was not a big problem. Do think the owners should spruce up the outside of the building to make the appearance better. Would definitely stay there again. -

Although I stayed only for one night the appartments on offer are excellently suited for holliday and business travellers who need to stay in Panama City for a longer period of time/for some consecutive nights (as the appartment came with a good kitchen, great living room, separate bed room and a nice bathroom).

Ever since we were referred to this estabishment two years ago, we have always stayed here in our travels to Panama, we have now stayed with them 3 times and next month will be a fourth time. We can always depend on a nice clean and safe location. We love the fact that their is an attendant at the location all the time. We have become acquinted with the individuals in charge and both of them are very helpful and knowlegdable. We totally recommend this location for your Panama Stays, stores and restaurant are all very closed by.

VariarÃa dos cosas... El servicio de limpieza de los apartamentos, debe ser opcional o previa notificación (horario) pues muchas veces uno no ha salido del apto e irrumpen en la privacidad.

Whilst I was initially disappointed when first entering the apartment as it was at a standard somewhat lower than that I had viewed on the website I must say I was impressed with the service I received in addressing my concerns,
Not only was I offered another apartment, which I declined the management set about rectifying any problems as quickly as they could.
Whilst some apartments may be still a work in progress all in all I was quite content.
I would return without hesitation. -

An excellent location in El Cangrejo. I wanted my own kitchen and a no expensive location. All was there, with excellent cleaning service and a good room to stay. The service of the friendly people in the office was great! Only a few noisy neighbours sometimes, but the rest was good. I can recommend: if you want an apartment in a good neighbourhood of panama-city: this is the place!
