Toronto, CanadaMagnifico!
Left on 01/09/2013 for a stay in June 2012
This is a fabulous property to share with family or friends, in the heart of the Chianti wine region. The communal areas are spacious, decorated with restrained taste, while maintaining an authentic sense of Tuscany. We loved the private or dedicated bathrooms for each sleeping area, all located to maximize privacy. 13 of us (from Toronto, San Francisco, and India) converging on the villa, had more than enough space in the largest of three buildings, with three large dining areas each with huge tables, outside on the terrace, in the living area and the spacious country kitchen, and room for expansion in one of the other two buildings on the property, each accommodating 5 -6 and 2 more guests. As we were outside, we hardly used the upstairs games room! Spectacular view of the famous Conca d'Oro, from the villa and hillside pool, and a short drive from Panzano, allowing easy access to evening dining. Windows were screened allowing the night air to cool the villa with the thick stone walls keeping it cool during the day. The host family are attentive and helpful but respectful of privacy. This Villa fulfilled our dreams and exceeded our expectations. The pictures do not do it justice!

Hobart, Australia50th Wedding anniversary Celebratory Week in September 2012
Left on 01/08/2013 for a stay in September 2012
Our love affair with Podere Felceto started in april 2011 on our search for the perfect location and venue for our 50th Wedding anniversary. What we found when we drove down the hill from the town of Panzano and arrived at Roberto and Jussara's Villa Podere Felceto nestled in the heart of the Tuscan hills was, without question the only choice for us. Fast forward to September 2012 and the celebrations begin!!
The owners, Roberto & Jussara's love and passion for their family, olives, wine, home and their guests guarantees the most memorable celebration and holiday ever ... and when the hosts' special wine is called 'Only for Friends' you can't help but feel immediately at home. Everyone in our party (ages ranging from 10 years to 72 years) loved the villa which we had to ourselves and whilst some of us relaxed in on the patio in a hammock, playing table tennis, strolling through the groves and others enjoyed the use of the pool whilst my sister and I enjoyed preparing feasts in the wonderful kitchen - our every moment was filled with happy activity.
The villa's proximity to all areas of Tuscany (Florence, Sienna, San Gimignano, Voltare as well as Panzano itself ensured we were able to spend as much time as possible sightseeing during the day and home to the Villa at night to enjoy a feast which we foraged and prepared ourselves and on occasion enjoying Tuscan fare at Dario Ceccini's Restaurant also known as the 'Butcher of Panzano' which Roberto booked for us.
Our parents 50th anniversary dinner was unbelievable - Roberto and Jussara had arranged for the chef (our menu chosen earlier) and a 3 piece band with a singer who's talent was amazing. They even included in their repertoire my parents favourite song.
Don't miss out on Roberto and Jussara's evening in the cellar where they will provide the most amazing meal based around their love and passion of olive oil.
Thank you Roberto & Jussara - your hospitality, generosity and attention to our needs is a truly a gift and you are wonderfuly representative of the very soul of Tuscany ! We all hope to see you again in the very near future.

Oldmeldrum, United KingdomA wonderful week in Chianti
Left on 08/25/2012 for a stay in August 2012
My wife and I and our two children (6 & 7) enjoyed a relaxing week staying at the Podere Felceto. We stayed in the Fienile which is a three bedroom converted farm building. The ammenities met all our requirements, spotlessly clean, beutifully decorated with some wonderful little touches that made us feel immediately welcome. Roberto & his wife (owners) could not have been more friendly or helpful, offering advice (when asked) and supplying us with fresh offerings from their garden. The setting was beautiful, overlooking the nearby vineyards & hills. We all loved the swimming pool which is set at the bottom of a beautiful garden. We were shown around the main house that has seven bedrooms and are considering organising a full scale family gathering in the near future!

Left on 12/09/2011 for a stay in September 2011
To celebrate my 50th birthday, I decided to travel to a villa in Italy for a weeklong celebration with my friends. Podere Felecto was the perfect location to enjoy the beautiful vistas of Tuscany, the easy of day trips to many places, and the comforts of home. Roberto and Jussara were wonderful support throughout our week. My friends and I are all thinking of the next special event to celebrate so we can return to Podere Felecto.

CharlotSpectacular villa and setting with charming hosts
Left on 12/08/2011 for a stay in July 2011
The siting of this house is beautiful--at the end of a small road (so no traffic) with views that look out onto hillsides of olive groves. The patio gets morning sun and is soaked in an amber glow for late afternoon and dinner.
Don't miss Jessara's dinner highlighting their olive oils and local foods (for an extra charge)--set in the beautifully renovated tasting room in the basement of the main house. Hard to exaggerate how special Podere Felceto is; it's everything we wanted for a week in the countryside of Italy. -

Relaxed atmosphere, unsurpassed beauty of the surrounding vineyards, olive trees, stone buildings, etc. Near the lovely town of Panzano and convenient for day trips to Florence, Siena and other nearby towns.
The owners and their family were gracious and helpful in every way.
We were there for 2 weeks (and were there 2 years ago as well) and frankly, I can't think of anything that I disliked about our stay at Podere Falceto. -

new yorkPodere Felceto immediately felt like home
Left on 09/20/2010 for a stay in August 2010
This was one of the best vacations I've ever had. Podere Felceto immediately felt like home. That might just have come from the immediate relief I felt when I transitioned from the outside heat to the cool inside. "Big thick walls" Roberto attributed the air conditioning-like temperature inside the villa to. It's hard not to love those big thick walls along with the rest of Podere Felceto: Very soon after we came, most of us,including me, were calling it "Our Villa, because for two weeks we could do that thanks to the kindness of Roberto and Jussara, who are able to share this place with countless numbers of people. I know that if I had such a beautiful villa it would be hard for me to share the covered porch, lazy hammock, refreshing salt water pool, delectable meals and "big thick walls" with anyone. Thank you Roberto and Jussara, for letting me and my family experience the lovely Podere Felceto and this unforgettable vacation.

I am writing this short note so that I can share with you a great discovery I have made: Podere Felceto.
I have been to Italy a number of times and rented different houses, as my husband is of Italian descent, but I have never found a place as beautiful as Felceto. What makes this location special are the people who ran it, husband and wife, Mr. Roberto Del Mastio and Mrs. Jussara. There so welcoming, so warm, so ever available that they make me feel like I am a part of their family. That is just that: Feceto is not only my home in Chianti, Felceto is my Italian Family!
I have been at Podere Felceto in the spring and in the fall, for the wine festival, an occasion not to be missed and I continue to go back there because of what and how the Del Mastio's make me feel, like an old friend, like a relative who's welcomed back from a far away stay.
The house is furnished with taste and in a way that make you fell as you enter in a "Home".
The rooms are very spacious, sunny and bright. All the bathroom facilities are spacious, modern and impeccable, equivalent to what one can find in Paris, London or New York City.
And then the bird's eye views of the Chianti hills from the veranda, the beautiful sunsets and the clean, fresh, crisp air that envelops you into a cocoon of serenity and contentment that refresh both spirit and body.
Try it yourself and you will become a believer!

Podere FelcetoA sensorial dream journey
Left on 08/23/2010 for a stay in July 2010
We spent one week at Podere Felceto , my wife and I, and 06 Brazilian friends (we are from São Paulo, Brazil). More than a conventional stay, we considered this trip as an experience, not only as a touristic point of view but as an opportunity to live as a tuscan, enjoy the villa, the sunshine in the varanda and in the swimming pool watching the other rural properties; also enjoying the hospitality of the local wineries and restaurants in the Chianti region. The owners, Jussara and Roberto Del Mastion provided us with a warm welcome and a lot of orientation on how to better enjoy the Chianti´s attractions. rStrongly ecommend to visit nearby attractions as the central piazza in Greve (about 5km north) with the food shop antica Macelleria Falorni (great prosciutto and pecorino cheese) and several restaurants; in south side, visit Castellina (Sotte le Volte Restaurant), Badia Caltibuono (restaurant and visit to the caves), Castello di Brolio (nice restaurant and an incredible well mantained castle), among others. If one wants to visit another wine factoria, go to Villamaggio, where Mona Lisa was born. They produce and sell good wines and olive oil. Panzano is also a must: a small village, a good street market on Sundays, a great Pizzeria (Conca DÓro) and nice people. Also, very good wine producers as the Fontodi very close to Podere Felceto. In summary: Podere Felceto is a great place to spent a week, large and well furnished rooms, lot of space and great views!

BratislavaAgain in the heart of Tuscany
Left on 08/23/2010 for a stay in August 2010
This year we had again a wonderful oportunity to spent one week with friends from USa and UK in Podere Felceto. After our first holiday in Felceto in 2007 we dreamed about comming there again.
Felceto offers a combination of "splendid isolation" of a place at the end of unpaved road amid olive trees and vineyards and the chance to get to Florence or Siena in an hour drive.
Anyway what makes Felceto a special place is a soul of the house, furniture and decorations but first of all the cordial hospitality of Roberto and his family.

We went to Felceto with our family in January from Thailand, it's a perfect Tascan cottage, the view was fantastic and if you look for space to accommodate big family and friends, here is the wonderful place (you have to see their kitchen). More importantly Felceto is next to 45 to 60 minutes drive to all beautiful towns everywhere in Tascany. Our family had a wonderful time. don't forget to ask for the best steak in the world, people drive the whole day to dine here in Panzano.
We will come back again. -

Sunnyvale, CAThe week we spent at Podere Felceto was a balm to a weary soul.
Left on 08/19/2010 for a stay in July 2009
Podere Felceto is a place of peace and serenity. Surrounded by rolling hills with vineyards and olive groves, it epitomized for me what I had envisioned Tuscany would be. We were welcomed with such warmth by Roberto and Jussara that it almost felt like we had come home. The villa is beautiful and very comfortable. It easily provided room for all 9 of us. Dining on the terrace under a grape arbor at sunset is a memory I will always treasure. We were close enough to Florence and Sienna for exciting day trips and nearby Panzano was friendly and delightful. Most of all, our tranquil days at the villa were the best! One visit was not enough. We will be returning in July, 2011!
