My Husband and I visited atlantis for the first time over Spring Break 2013. We have 2 boys, aged 11 and 14. We traveled with another couple. 7 total people in party. Stayed in the 2 bedroom Lockin. Perfect! Put adults in the 2 bedrooms, kids took over the smaller living room (pull out couch and a roll away bed), leaving a full kitchen and a large living room free for adult gatherings. Kitchen was great for making breakfast in the room (skip the long lines at the atlantis Restaurants) with stove and convection oven, full fridge, dish washer,etc. We also cooked a couple dinners in.
Harborside is recently renovated. Our room was clean, updated, had everything we needed. The pool & hot tub area was great -with shuffleboard, ping pong and pool table at poolside. On site work out room was neat and functional, with basic machines.
Shuttle service to atlantis was frequent and quick. It is also a nice 10 minute walk, along the marina area, over to atlantis aquaventure, pools and beaches. Fun to look at large yachts along the way.
The main atlantis hotel/Aquaventure/pool/beach area was crowded over Spring Break. Still fun, but it was nice to be able to get out of the crowd back at Harborside. The Point Restaurant at Harborisde has a nice harbor view and great breezes -layed back and casual.
If I were ever to go back, the only other area I would even consider staying (in addition to Harborside) would be the Cove. -And I am not sure they have kitchens, so Harborside really would be my first choice for families.

We stayed at Harborside last Febuary and it was wonderful. Each day we would eat breakfast in our kitchen then walk through the habor and look at all the boats to get to the main area of atlantis. The water park and all the slides were so much fun! It was all so easy thanks to Vacation Candy! I would love to return sometime soon! Thanks so much for all the help!
