Nicely renovated with stunning “reach out and touch” views of a grand old Russian Orthodox church. This large apartment is located near the Arc de Triomphe on Place Ternes in the 8 th District and is on one of the few private streets in Paris and in a prestigious area of the city. You are only about a 12-15 minute walk to the Champs Élysées. The apartment is located on the 4 th European floor (5 th US) of this 19 th century building with an elevator and overlooks the gardens and golden domes of the Russian Orthodox Church. But don’t worry, t...hey only ring once at 10am! No cars are permitted on the street so it's very quiet.....a peaceful retreat in one of the busiest areas of Paris.

If the great location were not enough, the apartment owners have completely renovated this large two bedroom flat, using high quality furnishings and furniture throughout. The apartment has all the charm of a 19 th century Parisian apartment with high molded ceilings, hardwood floors, a fireplace (decorative only), wood molding on the walls, iron work on the balcony, bow windows – all this with the comfort and modernity of new appliances.

There is a master bedroom with a queen size bed for two adults. The second bedroom has separate twin beds which can be pushed together to form one large king size bed, which includes a top mattress when formed together. Please specify your preference at the time of booking. There is a quality double sofa sleeper in the living room, that can sleep two adults comfortably as well. A total of 6 adults can occupy this large apartment, with its 66 m 2 (@730 ft 2 ) size.

The apartment has two bathrooms, each is located just off the bedrooms; see the floor plan below. The larger of the two is in the master bedroom and offers a tub and handheld shower, plus sink, but no WC. The smaller bathroom off the second bedroom has a shower, sink and WC. For easy access this bathroom and the WC, it conveniently has a second door which opens to the living room.

The apartment’s kitchen has all newer cabinets, newer appliances and includes a dishwasher, combination oven and microwave in one unit, stovetop with electric burners, coffee machine and toaster. There is a combination washer/dryer unit in the apartment as well. There is both a dining table for six people as well as a bar counter. There is another important feature for such a large apartment that accommodates six people, which is the gas furnace for "never out hot water".

The owner kindly requests no children under the age of 10 years.

  The apartment was everything one would want...
  The service, INCLUDING a complimentary bottle of wine was just as was promised, and well done. The apartment itself was lovely, with a wonderful view of an old church, and very convenient to all sorts of adventures.
  The Arc' de Triumph (please check my spelling)was well within walking distance, as were street vendors selling fresh fruit, vegetables, baked goods and seafood. Public transportation was not far and good restaurants were plentiful.
  The old adage that the French "hate Americans" was certainly NOT true. ALMOST exclusively, people were responsive and kind to someone who could only say, "Merci', bon jour", etc.
  Best? Experiencing Paris
  Least? Prices, across the board, in restaurants, seemed high.

  classy, quiet, well located apartment.

  I chose this lovely 2 bedroom apartment because we had 6 poeple, (our 2 kids 12 and 17, and another couple) but also wanted a well located place, and with my previous experinece of noisy motorbikes, etc, I could hear from nice hotels we'd stayed at, the quiet, dead-end street, 2 blocks from the Arch de Triomphe where this apartment was located was appealing. Right there at Avenue Fauberg where there were many shops and a wonderful outdoor market around 6 or so pleasant blocks away. Nice restaurants, including Taillevent's 2nd restaurant "L'Angle de Fauberg" (1 star) where we had a wonderful meal, at a fraction of the cost of a 2 or 3 star Michelin place. Some other great seafood places, as well as a nice Brasserie and a nice Bistro on our corner where we could get a coffee and croissant, when we didn't just make it ourselves in the well stocked little modern kitchen. There is a great bakery too, only about a block away, near "L'Angle de Fauberg". Access to the Arche de Triomphe and the Champs Elysees was terrific too.
  We had a few questions and my calls were returned promptly by the apartment owner, who was on the East Coast of the US. figuring out the Washer/ dryer, and a few other minor details. She was very pleasant and helpful. there was cable TV, a nice little stereo with some already made up CDs, and a computer with internet access. (one of the things we had to call on to access, as I recall)
  Beautiful Parisian building with secure access to the gated courtyard, and again in to the building with the electronic key fob that was mailed to us. (A second set of keys was in the apartment) Nice furnishings and decor as well.
  The only drawback was was, we were there in late October/ Early November, and the radiator heat was a bit weak..but we are Pacific Northwesterners, and a little chilly-ness is not too unusual for us. Overall, the apartment was quite comfy though.
  The Russian Church is quite a sight, right outside the window!
