Ontario CanadaGreat Place to stay !!!
Left on 03/16/2012 for a stay in March 2011
My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights last March 2011. It was a wonderful apartment to stay in. Perfect for 2 persons, if you want a little more room at the end of the day. We had our breakfast in the apartment every morning and started our days from abbesses Metro, which was an interesting walk, downhill...Lots of stairs to climb in Montmartre but I think it the best area in Paris to vacation in. We plan on returning to Paris soon, and would definitely stay in this apartment again.

Saint Paul, MNCozy, convenient and fun
Left on 01/24/2012 for a stay in January 2012
We stayed in the apartment with our 18 year old daughter, for 3 days. It's in a great location (near metro stations, Sacre Coeur and all cafes, shops and bakeries). Although smallish (bedroom, kitchen, bath and LR/sitting area) the place felt immediately cozy and welcoming. We loved the film posters in each room and the owner's incredibly high quality selection of Dvds. There is attention to comfort and detail - helpful instructions throughout, well-stocked cabinets with whatever you'd need, and guidebooks for newbies to Paris like us. And working with ViP, every detail was handled efficiently and professionally before and after.

Washington, DCFabulous location, spacious and comfortable apartment
Left on 01/04/2011 for a stay in November 2010
We travel frequently to Paris and have had occasion to stay in a variety of hotels and apartments in various parts of the city. This apartment rates as one of the best places we have stayed. The apartment is spacious and fully equipped. The bed was a real queen-size (or maybe larger). The location in Montmartre is fabulous, just steps away from many restaurants and bars and only a couple blocks from the abbesses metro. If you are traveling to Paris and this apartment is available, then rent it without hesitation. We plan to do so again in the future.

The apartment is in old building however it has been well-renovated and well-designed. We enjoyed the full kitchen very much and the little dinner table is perfect for 4 of us to relax and have meal inthe evening after long days of walking. It is very close to shops and bakeries. We only knew on our last day that it is also a short walk to Carrfour! Wish a vicinity map was provided. One warning, this apt is not recommended for people who has trouble walking like elders since you need to go up steep path, (or alternatively 30 some steps of stairs) to arrive at the apt.

My sister and I rented the Montmartre apartment in early June last year for 8 days. We spent a long time trying to decide which apartment to rent, and in the end we went for the location. As it turned out, we could not have made a better choice.
The apartment is exactly as advertised. It is in a wonderful location, we felt safe and secure, the bed was comfortable, the fold-out bed OK, the television worked, plenty of hot water, the linen was good quality, the kitchen fitted out very well (we cooked a couple of dinners, only because we were too exhausted to go out for dinner after some long days). Restaurants and cafes in the street gave plenty of choice. The metro station is five minutes away (but its uphill on the way home, good for the calf muscles!).
The bathroom is very compact, but everything worked; good hairdryer. There was no problem with street or neighbourhood noise. The apartment was very clean and uncluttered. The only problem we had (though I even hesitate to call it a 'problem') was that it took us some time to figure out how to use the washing machine!
All dealings with the company re deposit, payments, keys, etc went very smoothly, everything well organised. There were no hidden costs or other expenses. I think the apartment is very reasonably priced, given its amenities and fabulous location. The apartment keys were posted to me in Australia and arrived as advised. All the instructions regarding the keys, locking/opening the doors, etc were clear and accurate. The info about where to get the metro, what tickets to buy, recommendations for restaurants etc were invaluable and gave us a lot of 'local' knowledge without spending a lot of time finding out for ourselves.
In short - I would definitely recommend renting the apartment and would go back any time! We loved it. -

Minneapolis, MNOur first trip to Paris
Left on 05/21/2009 for a stay in April 2008
We really liked this apartment. It was just right for 2, but might
be a bit crowded for 4 as the fold out couch is in the living room
(but at least the kitchen area is well separated from the living
room.) The apartment was clean, quiet, and convenient. The
bathroom is small but there is plenty of hot water for showers (we
never had a problem) so I think there would be enough hot water
for 4 showers in the morning. It is on a small, residential street,
not far from restaurants, shops, and Sacre Coeur. We particularly
liked the fact that we had the key to the apartment when we
arrived. Never having been in Paris before, we decided to take a
shuttle from the airport which took us directly to our apartment --
a bit pricey, but the ride itself through the city was amazing. On
our return we took the metro to Gare du Nord station and took the
train to CDG (you need a special ticket or have the extended Metro
pass for this). There is wireless internet in the apartment which you
might find handy, but we did not bring a laptop -- we used the
internet cafe right by the Abbesses Metro stop for checking email,
etc. and that seemed to work fine. We did use the apartment
phone to call home.
My wife and I loved the neighborhood. It was a short walk (5
min.) to the Abbesses Metro stop and from there you were within
20 min. of the center of the city. This also provided easy access to
the Gare du Nord train station and thus Charles De Gaul airport.
The Abbesses Metro stop is very interesting in itself -- it is quite
far underground (10+ flights of stairs to walk out) but there are
huge elevators if you don't want to walk. We ate most of our meals
at the apartment or in the local restaurants -- it is a working class
neighborhood with lots of grocers, formageries, bakeries, cafes,
butchers....you name it. If you saw the film "Amelie", the market
featured in the film -- Au Marche de la Butte -- is just up the
street. -

Glasgow, ScotlandSmart Montmartre Appartment
Left on 05/21/2009 for a stay in June 2008
We all loved the appartment. Really spacious for a family of three,
would also accommodate 4 comfortably. Everything clean and
kitchen well equipped, plenty of cupboard space. Bright and
modern decoration (recognized a lot of IKEA!) - attractive courtyard.
Location excellent. Quick trip in morning to choice of bakeries for
breakfasts or picnic supplies. Close to small local shops for delis
fruit and basic supplies. Short walk to metro and to Sacre Cour.
With a 9 year old we didn't really sample night life but plenty on the
doorstep. Lots of great places to eat in local streets at reasonable
prices. We arrived night of jazz weekend - our first night we
couldn't sleep until around 5.00am as so close to open air venue -
so take ear plugs if you travel on this weekend and don't plan to
party all night! Plenty of interest within walking distance.
Everything exactly as described in publicity. We would highly
recommend and think it was suitable for couples and families,
young and old. Complimentary bottle of wine thrown in - we would
have preferred having a carton of milk though arriving late on
Saturday and all local shops closed 1st thing Sunday. In need of
coffee and cereals for daughter!
We felt completely safe - great atmosphere even in crowds.
Literature warns you to be careful - we found it same as being in
any city - I don't think you need to be more vigilant than you would
be at home (we are big city dwellers). Paris is great. We took this
as second choice (had wanted latin quarter) but it was a great 2nd
choice. We would rent again. -

OregonA wonderful place!
Left on 05/21/2009 for a stay in April 2009
I recommend this great apartment in a convenient, historic, and comfortable section of Paris - Montmartre. This was our 1st visit to Paris, or France, and we lucked out with this great place to start with. It's close to the Metro, Post office, many restaurants, grocery stores, historic places, and more. It was quiet and well furnished. The bed was super comfortable. We enjoyed watching TV and cooking dinner in the evenings. Vacation in Paris was wonderful to work with on this, everything was seamless. Don't hesitate to rent this place, it's great!
