The Woodlands, TXVacation apartment in Paris
Left on 08/11/2012 for a stay in July 2012
We rented an efficiency apartment in Paris from vacationinparis.com in July 2012. Our apartment was called 100 Heart of Paris Studio Charmer and I can honestly say it was a great apartment. It was just three blocks from Notre Dame and one block off St. Germain. It was in a great location. The apartment was very clean and very comfortable. We had a couple of questions about the apartment when we were there and the local manager in Paris, Karim, was able to answer everything for us. Leading up to our trip we interacted several times with the vacationinparis staff in the us and they were awesome, very friendly. This was a great and very easy rental experience. I would highly recommend vacationinparis.com and would use them again without hesitation.

Left on 02/20/2012 for a stay in February 2012
We were very pleased with this place. It is one block from Notre Dame and one block from a major Metro/RER stop. It has everything you could need to feel at home, plus all the little touches like toiletries, wifi, an ironing board, et cetera. We have stayed in apartments around the world, and this one was one of the best. And a great value.
It also couldn't have been more convenient, since they mail you the keys ahead of time! -

I rented two different apartments from VIP during my 3 week stay in Europe. I highly recommend VIP - the whole process of renting from them went very well in all regards. This apartment was very clean and nicely decorated. The apartment was very quiet and it met our needs well. The location for this apartment was outstanding - 2 short blocks to Notre Dame and the Seine.

I'll start with the positives on this apartment - the location cannot be beat. You're in the heart of the Latin Quarter on the Left Bank, easily accessible to multiple metro stops, mere steps away from the famous Shakespeare & Co., and so close to Notre Dame that you can hear the church bells. And the price is pretty amazing. My husband and I felt that we had discovered some well-kept secret to beating Paris' reputation for being expensive when we found this place. An amazing location, with a washer and a dryer, a kitchen and only $130/night?! We were pinching ourselves.
And then we arrived. The check-in was awesome, since we had received our keys before we left the states and the location was as amazing as promised, but the apartment itself was a disappointment. A strong sewage smell emanated from the bathroom. There was mold in the shower. Light bulbs burnt out, with no replacements in the apartment. "Do not use - you will be charged extra" signs on the extra towels kept in the cupboards. A well-intentioned binder that was supposed to give us all the answers we needed before ever calling management was disorganized, with pages ripped out, referring us to businesses that had closed, and hieroglyphic instructions on how to use the washer and dryer.
We figured out the washer and dryer, got a lavender-scented air freshener to keep in the bathroom, and tried to convince ourselves that the apartment was "quaint" - but no convincing could make this a charmer.
In sun, his apartment would greatly benefit from a little more TLC. It served our basic needs and helped keep our trip affordable, and for that it gets three stars.

Very nice and functional studio chamer within walking distance to every great landmark in Paris. Metro is easy, Latin Quarter easy, museams easy, restaurants easy. Four floor walkup not to easy, but worth the effort.

CanadaMy dream vacations with the love of my life in Paris
Left on 09/20/2011 for a stay in August 2011
I cannot even say how wonderful my 10-day stay in Paris was, and how fabulous this apartment made it. Tucked into a courtyard and quiet, across the street from Sacre Coeur, it meant that after a long day of running around the city we could come home, make ourselves a simple dinner and have a glass of wine listening to the church-bells, and go for the most magnificent post-dinner walks of our lives to Notre Dame and around the Left Bank. We are graduate students, and even though it strained out budget it was more than worth it--and the apartment is adjacent to great bookstores!!
This apartment, and this experience, was absolutely magical. One of the best experiences of my life. Thank you. -

Once a year for the last 6 years I have traveled to Paris and stayed with VIP, this apartment was the best stay yet! Location was absolutely perfect! In the heart of everything yet quiet, although you could hear the church bells of Notre Dame - Bonus! Thank you very much for my home away from home! See ya next year!

Left on 10/11/2009 for a stay in September 2009
We booked 100 Heart of Paris studio charmer as our base for a 5-days trip to Paris. We (myself, my mum and sister) found this apartment just perfect for our needs: clean, comfortable, only a couple of minutes from Notre Dame. The apartment itself is small but there's enough room for clothes, coats and baggages.
The location is really convenient: central, only a very short walking distance from St Michel metro station (that serves both airports and Versailles) and 10 min walking from Monoprix supermarket (open until midnight).
We loved everything, it was just a perfect stay and we'd book an apartment though Vacation in Paris again! -

This romantic little hideaway could hardly be better placed - right by the Seine and Notre Dame, within an easy stroll of Ste. Chapelle and the Louvre. And yet, tucked away in a picturesque courtyard, it's perfectly peaceful. The apartment's pretty, the shower excellent, the bed comfy. And outside - well, you have an interesting area to explore! Step away from the obvious tourist streets and you'll find quiet pavement cafes, the famous Shakespeare and Company bookshop, and even a gourmet vegetarian restaurant (Le Grenier de Notre Dame, Rue de la Bucherie). The highpoint of our stay was attending Gregorian Mass in Notre Dame: a truly uplifting experience. Why go to a hotel when you can live like a Parisian? We thoroughly recommend VIP!

This studio apartment is wonderfully located in the Latin Quarter, just
steps from Notre Dame. Though on a busy street, the building is quiet
with a charming courtyard. We were traveling as a family of three
adults - the apartment worked well for us - we made use of the
kitchen, internet connection, and washer/dryer. The owner/manager
was very accessible, returning calls quickly and even coming to the
apartment to help us decipher the workings of the washer/dryer. She
was friendly and very helpful.
This little place is a bargain for the location - there is a small grocery
store within a few blocks, which we made good use of. We would stay
here again - the location and price cannot be beat!

Loved our time spent in Paris. The apartment was perfect for the price
and our needs. The location is insanely convenient to many tourist
destinations. Since this was our first trip to Paris it worked out well for
us. In the future I think I would prefer to stay in a more charming
location. It had everything you needed and the entire process was so
easy. We will definitely rent another apartment when we return. -

Boston, MAReally Great Apt and Location Can't Be Beat!
Left on 05/13/2009 for a stay in November 2008
I've stayed in this apt twice, so that's a pretty good recommendation in itself.
The bed is comfy. The kitchen has all you need for light cooking. The location is perfect. There are 44 old, winding steps to the door which adds to the charm of the place for me but might be a consideration for others. I've stayed in three other VIP apartments. They are excellent value for the money if not luxurious (although they do have some luxury apartments). If your budget is more important than luxury, VIP can't be beat. -

Brisbane, Queensland, AustraliaVery suitable apartment
Left on 05/13/2009 for a stay in October 2006
We found the apartment to be so central, comfortable, warm and inviting.
I have stayed in hotels in Paris in the past and this little apartment was preferable in the areas of both cost and location.
We were able to buy our own fruit, bread and cheese etc. (locally) and therefore only needed to eat out in the evenings.
We were expecting the steep little staircase to negotiate with our suitcases so that was no surprise.
The only problem we encountered was when we had to vacate the apartment and yet not fly out until the evening. There was nowhere to leave our suitcases. Eventually we found lockers at the train station. Apart from that everything went so smoothly. The location of this apartment is just perfect.
Thank you to Vacations in Paris. We would certainly use them again in the future, and recommend them to everyone we can. -

Portland, OregonDelightful Apt
Left on 05/13/2009 for a stay in September 2007
The location, without a doubt, is ideal for access to the Latin Quarter. The owner is a delight, the space suitable for two. Some of the appliance directions were difficult to interpret (all in French)but everything worked beautifully (except the TV). The apt is very nicely appointed and quite comfortable. Access to the Latin Quarter, Metro and Notre Dame is terrific. I would not recommend for older citizens because of the very narrow stairwell (very old) but, otherwise, have no reservations about recommending this lovely apartment

I have stayed in this apt. twice...once with my sister and another time with my husband. The location is terrific. There is a nice large window which allows for some breeze if the weather is warm. It can sometimes be noisy from the apts which all face the same courtyard. However, most of the time it is quiet. The furnishings are simple, the bathroom modern, the kitchen sparse. I would not recommend this apt if you wish to prepare any meals. It is best for a petit dejeuner and perhaps some snacks, but otherwise not for much else. The space can accommodate 3 but it is preferable for 2. We had problems with the cell phone service, but the owner was most co-operative and helped us as much as she could.

We spent a great week in this studio apartment. Staying here instead
of a hotel really gives you a better feel for life in Paris. The location
was great for sightseeing or catching the subway. We were within
walking distance of many great sights. The only caution is if you have
a problem climbing steps up to the room. They were narrow and
steep. We would definitely stay here on our next trip! -

We stayed 4 nignts and were firstly impressed with the extra help given by the manager (we left the key back in Australia after changing our valuables pouch at the last minute). The apartment/studio was very adequate for our purposes and the location was excellent (100 metres to Notre Dame.
Recommend to travellers who visit a city to see the city and not to stay/spend long periods in a hotel room. -

Brisbane, AustraliaGood base to explore Paris
Left on 05/12/2009 for a stay in October 2008
Overall, this is a good apartment/location for basing your Paris holiday. The apartment is comfortable and very well located. Good acess to public transport (metro and bus) plus local interest in the nearby Eiffel Tower and other monuments, plus Rue Cler market around the corner is real/classic Paris. As with a lot of Parisian apartments, this one is located in a building behind other buildings fronting the street. Hence no view. The apartment is small but adequate. Negotiating the staircase to the 3rd floor is tricky, especially with large cases and there is little room to store large cases in the apartment. The queen bed is overlay large for the room in which it is located. Likewise the pull out sofa couch is too large for the small living area. Bathroom and kitchen areas work adequately, except that the shower recess is too small to contain splash while using the shower - hence the bathroom gets wet. Overall rating is good - especially in terms of experiencing life in a real Parisian neighbourhood. Also, reasonalbe acces to CDG Airport via bus to the Opera and then RoissyBus direct to the airport.
