Philadelphia, PACharming apartment in a great location
Left on 08/02/2012 for a stay in July 2012
We stayed in this apartment for 3 days. It is very safe with one door that opens with a code, another entry door with a bolt, and then the apartment door itself has a heavy-duty bolt as well. To get to the apartment, you will climb some very charming wooden stairs that curl around corners.
The accommodations inside the apartment are great. The bed is comfortable and full of pillows. There's a small sitting area by the door with a library full of guidebooks, language guides, and some fiction. The kitchen has everything you need for breakfast or a homecooked meal. However, with Rue de Buci lined with restaurants - why bother cooking?! The bathroom was nicely lit, though the shower was a little awkward and small. Nonetheless, you're here to enjoy Paris, not sit around in an apartment all day! The room is also quiet, looking over the courtyard -- when we were there, some construction was going on. I'm sure this is just temporary, though.
The location of the apartment is great!! Restaurants and markets are withing a 1-5 minute walk, the metro and RER is close by, and you can easily walk to the Louvre, Notre-Dame, and the Centre Pompidou. You really just can't beat the location.
Finally, Vacations In Paris was excellent, sending us the keys before we left home and providing us all the information we needed to access the apartment and enjoy Paris. They were a very easy business to work with and I would highly recommend them. -

I enjoyed the quiet and the comfort of this small but lovely studio in a wonderful and safe neighborhood of Paris!. Though I did not cook a meal, the small kitchen was plenty for breakfast at home before heading out to see the sights. The shower had plenty of hot water and the linens and towels were better than expected. Everything was clean and tidy on arrival. The WiFi works very well, IF you follow the directions listed in the Red Book. Working with VIP was a breeze, I have already booked with them again for Sept. I will definitely recommend this studio and VIP to friends!

We stayed in the apartment for 5 days. The apartment is chic, clean and lovely. Everything we need is there. The location is perfect - right in the heart of everything. Can't argue when the apartment is close to all sightseeing spots, and walking distance to Laduree, Pierre-Herme, Eric-Kayser, and Gerard Mulot (among many many other patisseries and lovely restaurants). Will definitely come back again!!!

Vancouver BC CanadaGreat Latin Quarter location
Left on 12/16/2010 for a stay in October 2010
Excellent location, central enough to walk to everything.
A bit of a journey to get to the flat, as it is located in the rear of the complex with no lift. This is countered by a lack of street and city noise.
Small WC, but good enough. Very clean and cozy unit, worth the stay. The locals are friendly and warm.
I've stayed in many of the hotels in the area; the value and location beats staying at a hotel in the area by far.
I suggest reading the comments book to assist with the location of the marche (market) in the area. There are a tonne of bistros in the area to dine at, but then again it is in the Latin Quarter.
Stay in a flat, and pretend you are a part of the local landscape. Enjoy Paris as it should be enjoyed... in a relaxed state. -

the title says it all. the reservation was handled seamlessly before we left. i always received prompt responses to any of my emailed questions. the apartment itself was exactly as described. i have absolutely no complaints. and upon return, vacation in paris very quickly refunded my security deposit. i would not hesitate to use this company again.

We loved the apartment.....location was fantastic! We felt like true Parisiennes, even as far as the next door neighbor chastising us in French via note taped our door! We had not locked the door in "both" top and bottom locks, which we had been advised by "The apartment" guide book!! Which I must say was so ever helpful. Guests write about their times, experiences and advise for the next tenant. Last minute we found an English speaking taxi number buried deep in "the guide book" which saved us from missing our TGV ride to Nice! Perfect place for walking to the Louvre, Notre Dame, the Sorbonne, jog the Seine!
The only drawback (and this is really minor)for my boyfriendwas in the apartment, there is a lucite step lady used for decorations. I supposed if you needed a step stool you could use it, but we just tucked it under the dining table, voila! solved. More room! We felt right at home, and the flights of stairs were only difficult with loaded suitcases. Pack light!
Go and enjoy. The keys came promptly before our flight with many written helpful instructions. Well organinized organization!
Try to rent bicycles in Paris! there may be a shop listed in "the guide book"!! It was the most exhilarating 3 hours we had on our last afternoon there.

Missing Paris
New YorkHighly recommended
Left on 09/08/2009 for a stay in July 2009
Our apartment in absolutely made our experience in Paris. While we had visited Paris a number of times, we had always stayed in a hotel. The apartment experience made us feel like true Parisians for a brief period of time. It was wonderful to wake up and fix tea from the broad selection in the apartment. Great to return at night with a baguette, wine and Nutella and be able to leave them in our kitchen. Helpful to be able to wash our clothes from 4 days spent in Jordan pre our trip to Paris. It was ideal.
The location of the Heart of Paris studio couldn't be better. You are half a block from the Seine, within walking distance of Notre Dame, Il de St Louis, the Louvre, even the Arc De Triomphe if you're up for quite a stroll. The recommendations in the guest book were invaluable. You should book this apartment....you won't regret it! -
