This elegant one bedroom pied a terre is situated in one of the chicest areas of Paris, the Marais. From this address the city of light is at your feet. The apartment is located near the major crossroads of the metro system and is a few minute walk to such treasures as Notre Dame, Centre Pompidou, Musee Picasso, the Louvre, and Place des Vosges.This apartment was renovated in March 2006 by the artist owners. The walls are painted in rich shades of blue/grey. The decor finds it's inspiration in the French Baroque style. It is a bright and comfortable space, furn...ished with fine antiques and fabrics. The queen size bed in the bedroom comfortably sleeps two and the pull out 3/4 sofa in the living room will amply accommodate one more person. The kitchen is fully equipped to take advantage of the many gastronomic pleasures that can be found in nearby gourmet food shops. Please do note that this is a "lively" location and it may be too noisy at night for some, especially in the summer and warmer months with open windows.

The bathroom is equipped with all new high end fixtures including an elegant walk in shower, WC and sink. The walls are decorated with white metro tiles and the shower has a rain shower head, as well as a hand held shower head. There are beautiful marble mosaic tiles on the floor. See FLOORPLAN .

The apartment is situated on the 3 rd European floor (4 th US) no elevator, of a hotel particulier, a single dwelling home, and has three gables that offer views of the surrounding neighborhood. The entrance to the apartment features a rare, historically classified staircase.

This delightful apartment is in the middle of it all, the Marais, the oldest district in Paris. This is where the old world embraces the new generation. Wonderful boutique shopping, splendid bistros and book stores abound. Many of the greatest museums and historic sights of Paris are here. This is Paris today.Read more

  Overall the apartment is very good, rather spacious for Parisian standards, furnished with a great care and attention to detail. The sitting area is quite comfortable, inviting and cozy. The building itself features a very wide staircase, which makes the entire suitcases ordeal much easier. The noise level of the across the street Open Cafe is something one shall be aware of, however. The superb Marais location does, however, outweigh the inconvenience associated with the noise.

  The apartment was tiny but beautifully decorated and comfortable. The position was excellent, with speciality food and wine shops within easy walking distance.

  Great location if noise is not a problem

  Everything is perfect; however you have to be ready to live in the middle of the never-ending bustling night life, for the Open Cafe is right across the narrow street. Otherwise the rental is great. The location is perfect, the apartment itself is very good. I would undoubtedly recommend the rental, that is if one doesn't mind a really "live" locale, with the social life active for about 18 hours a day.

  Lovely taste of Paris

  This was a lovely and well-appointed one-bedroom apartment, very
  comfortable for us three sisters. Two shared the queen-sized bed and
  one on the fold-out in the living room. Easy to make up and put away
  each day. The furnishings felt very "parisienne", and sharing wine and
  goodies picked up at close-by delis and such, we imagined ourselves
  natives. The TV never worked, but we only tried it for the occasional
  weather report, so weren't terribly disappointed in that. Couple things
  to note about this apartment -- it is up three flights of stairs (no
  elevator), and it is just across the street and looking down upon the
  most popular gay bar in the Marais. Our first few nights were
  accompanied by party voices until 3 PM (thank you, Jet Lag, we slept
  through most). The rest of the week was pretty quiet, though. It's a
  great neighborhood, we felt very safe, and explored quite a bit. We
  absolutely LOVED it all!! I don't think I'll ever stay in a hotel again,
  having experienced a real home stay -- absolutely delightful!
