This is a delightful area, just steps, only a one minute walk, from the famed Montorgueil Farmer’s Market Street where all the stalls and stores are lined up to offer either everything you could desire for a complete meal or just to stroll and absorb the sights and aromas of all the fresh produce and specialty items they offer.Nicely renovated (April 2008) two bedroom apartment with a special feature of independence, due to the second bedroom which is in another small apartment on the same floor- across the hallway. Great Location

Left on 04/12/2013 for a stay in March 2013

Although the rooms are not large the apartment was big enough for us and the location is fantastic, just off Rue Montorgueil with plenty of cafes and food shops.
Before we went I realised that the street at the other end of Rue Saint Sauveur was St Denis which has a bit of a reputation so I was a bit wary... However, it is perfectly possible to avoid that end of the street altogether and we did not have any qualms about staying there with young children.
We travelled with our three children and the second bedroom a few steps across the landing was fine for our teenager but I probably would have been nervous about allowing younger children to sleep there on their own.
The booking process was very smooth and the fact that we had been sent the keys in advance meant that we didn't have to worry about access as we arrived in the late evening.
The only comment I would make was that I would not recommend the Metro stop of Les Halles which was specified in the directions - it is a large station with many exits and easy to take the wrong one when you are not familiar with it, especially as there is construction ongoing. Etienne Marcel is a much better one to use for going to and from Gare du Nord.

Comfortable apartment in a nice area

Left on 01/12/2013 for a stay in November 2012

We stayed in apartment 195, one bedroom with double sofa. Three adults. Myself, my wife and my brother. We found it to be comfortable for us, but probably would be cramped for 4 adults. We used it for sleeping and showers etc but not for preparing meals. It is in a very nice area and close to the Metro. Easy enough to walk to the Seine, the Louvre and of course lots of nice restaurants in the area, one of these being Chez Meme in rue Saint Denis, which is very close. The booking process through Vacation in Paris was easy and stress free.

      Great location, poor accommodations

Left on 10/02/2012 for a stay in September 2012

The location was convenient and loved the shops just steps away from our door. However, the quality of accommodations were poor. Poor exterior lighting. No water pressure or hot water for showers. Advertised washer/dryer. However, didn't mentioned that it takes 4 hours, doesn't dry the clothes and can only be used from 9:00 am to 9:00 PM. Who wants to spend 4 hours of precious vacation time doing laundry during the day, only to not have the clothes dry. Not adequate linens. No extra bed linens and only one bath towel per guest. We had a great time overall, but would not recommend this flat. Sorry :-(

Fabulous apartment in a bustling, happening area of Paris

Left on 05/24/2012 for a stay in May 2012

We recently stayed in this apartment (May 2012) and had a fabulous five day holiday. Have been to Paris many times, but never this area before - will definitely go again. Lots to see and do - only around 15 minutes walk from The Louvre and all the beautiful sights of central Paris. Two minute walk to the Metro from where you can reach any area you please. You don't even have to leave the area if you choose not to as there are loads of shops, bars and restaurants right on your doorstep. The apartment itself is neatly divided into two (one smaller apartment/bedroom/shower across the hall) which allows for privacy and convenience. Fantastic amenities - not to mention the very welcome bottle of wine which awaited us on our arrival. We will definitely be back.

      Great Location

Left on 04/19/2012 for a stay in March 2012

Nice apartment in a fantastic part of town. We traveled with our four children, ages 2 - 16. Apartment was a bit cramped at times, but more than adequate. If you have a party of six, you should evaluate how much time you'll actually spend in the apartment. No problem for sleeping, but not a lot of space if everyone wants to socialize / watch TV in the same room (by american standards). We cooked at least one meal every day - kitchen is small but functional and well equipped. Easy walk to the Metro, RER station, the Louvre, Notre Dame, etc. The convertable coach / bed in the bedroom across the hall and the pull out coach in the main apartment weren't the most comfortable. The bed in the main bedroom was fine. Nothing the matter with the furniture, only that I've never found convertable / pull out beds to be exceptionally comfortable. Would stay here again.

Perfect Location to Experience True Parisian Life

Left on 02/17/2011 for a stay in December 2010

Thank you for a fantastic experience in Paris. The whole process was so easy and smooth. The unit itself was clean, renovated and in great shape. The best part about the unit was its location. We had a fantastic trip.

Place is awesome and very convenient, close to louvre. Some confusion with owner about what time we could check out was a bit annoying, and the alarm clock from the guy upstairs woke us up everyday at 6am. Be careful in august as there is no a/C. Outside from that, everything was perfect.

      Ideal family location

Left on 06/14/2010 for a stay in May 2010

This was our first experience of staying in an apartment in Paris although our 4th visit to this fantastic city. Travelling with teenagers this is the only way to go!! Nobody is bothered if they are still in their pj's having breakfast! #195 Market Street is ideally located near bakeries, fruit shops, many reasonably priced resturants and also close to the metro for easy travel. We intend being back in Paris shortly and would use this apartment again. The owners are so gracious and happy to help. The only reason a star was dropped on comfort is the lack of a toilet in the second bedroom - although we did not use it as a bed room it would have been a small bit difficult in the middle of the night!!

      perfect location

Left on 10/23/2009 for a stay in September 2009

Our family of six (4 kids)stayed here for four fabulous nights in Sept. Whilst the unit is very small, it had everything we needed and was in a fabulous location- great restaurants, bakeries, sights all at our doorstep. The owners left a manual which was comprehensive and gave us a great overview of where to go etc, that including the bottle of wine really made us feel grounded as soon as we arrived. The best bit, the entrance to the apartment block is really special. The worst: front loading washing machine! (need more instructions). The kitchen is very small and had all equipment needed to make a meal but you really have to enjoy cooking in a tight space! (you're on holidays - go out!) Best experience in Paris - Our 'Fat tire' bike tour was sensationsional;esp with kids.

The main appartment is "Fab" but the second bedroom is a different story; it had mold and peeling paint. I would recommend the renting of the main apartment but not the second bedroom. If you do rent the small bedroom, leave the window open after you shower to dry out the moister.... the is KEY.

Like I said you can not get any better of a location in Paris..... the cross street had all the store for fresh dinners everynight...

Go.. Go.. and Go often.. Even with the dislike of the small bedroom we still had a perfect time.
