Romantic charm, original paintings, many great books, dried flowers hanging on the wall, -you will swear you are living a Puccini Opera…. the echo of the voice you imagine to hear might even be the owners’…!Look no further if you are searching 'the real McCoy!' ….
This is a very authentic, true Parisian apartment, in a neighborhood where you won’t hear constant English spoken …. If you love a charming, warm receptive atmosphere, where the decoration was definitely not done for tourists, but rather by an enchanting owner...Read more

Madison, Wisconsin USAMontmartre/Sacre Coeur
Left on 01/26/2012 for a stay in December 2011
I rented two different apartments from VIP during my 3 week visit to Europe, and I found VIP a pleasure to work with. All of the arrangements went very smoothly. This apartment, in Montmartre, was in a great neighborhood, but we found ourselves taking the metro (1/2 a block away) daily to see the major sights of Paris. So, I would have preferred a more central location. Going to Sacre Couer on Christmas Eve was quite wonderful. The apartment was quiet and clean, but the furnishings and decoration are worn. I knew this in advance, though, so did not find this to be a problem. We are a family traveling on a budget, and this met our needs well.

Santa Monica CaliforniaA quiet, cozy apt, very conveniently located
Left on 12/16/2010 for a stay in October 2010
We enjoyed our stay. The apt was quiet (difficult to find in Paris)! and close to the Pigale metro with convenient transfer locations. it was also close to the Opera Garnier and the major dept stores. The bathroom and kitchen were tiny, but it had a washer and a dryer. It was just a few steps to the trendy part of Montmartre. The English speaking off site (VIP) management staff was accessible and helpful.

Warwick, Queensland (Australia)A wonderful way to feel like we were living amongst Paris locals
Left on 08/02/2010 for a stay in July 2010
I stayed with my husband and 20 yr old daughter for nearly 2 weeks here. Our daughter had just finished a semester at university in Paris, so it was a definite help for us that she could speak French! Montmartre is the perfect location to stay and we felt like we were really experiencing life like Parisians. Quaint little narrow streets, bursting with tiny cafes, restaurants and boutiques. So close to the Metro and all services and just down the hill from the magnificent Sacre Coeur. Apartment is an old style but with a lot of charm, and was very well equipped and great value for money. It was a little squashy with 3 of us, but we were out all day, every day, so that wasn't a problem. Really appreciated the free internet and overseas phone calls and the owner didn't hesitate to supply 2 fans for us at our request, as our stay was during summer. Tucked away at the back of the building, there is no street noise and only occasional sounds from nearby residents. Couldn't have asked for better service and would highly recommend this little apartment to anyone who wanted to stay in a truly "old world" district of Paris. Just a 5 min walk down the street from the wonderful Moulin Rouge (a must see for anyone staying in Paris). Had many fantastic boulangeries nearby for those delicious French pastries and baguettes and we could even visit the artists in the main sqaure and see them sketch - loved every minute of it!

Ottawa, OntarioCharming flat in lively neighbourhood
Left on 06/24/2010 for a stay in May 2010
This flat, located near Place Pigalle as well as Sacre Coeur, is quite charming and surprisingly large. The owners have given it a "lived-in" feel with shelves of books and CDs, as well as funky lighting and draperies.
Finding our way to the place using the RER from Charles de Gaulle airport, and then the Metro from Gare du Nord was very easy thanks to the directions provided by Vacation in Paris.
The neighbourhood in which the flat is located is alive with activity, which makes it exciting as a visitor, but also provides its share of noise! As with all Parisian neigbourhoods, this one is easily explored on foot. The numerous shops, cafes, bakeries, and general daily activities of the local residents make strolling very enjoyable. We were also easily able to walk from the flat to l'Opera, the shops on Blvd Haussmann, the Louvre...However, there is a metro stop located steps from the flat, so it's also very easy and convenient to use the metro for transportation.
We found most of the noise was due to some construction being done on an adjacent building. Obviously, this could not be avoided, and does not represent a permanent issue with this flat.
In all, this was a lovely, clean property in a fun and accessible neighbourhood. The price was also very reasonable, especially as the flat was larger than we had expected.

CaliforniaGreat experience in Montmartre!
Left on 05/21/2009 for a stay in March 2007
This was the perfect place for a week-long stay in Paris. The closest metro station is literally just down the street, making it very convenient to explore the city.
The neighborhood itself was pretty safe, though located pretty close to the red light district. Practice the usual conventions of visiting any large city and you'll be absolutely fine. Noise wasn't an issue for us - during the week it was pretty quiet (during the weekend, the occupants might get a little louder but we didn't have any troubles with hardcore partying.)
The facilities are pretty standard and in good working order. There was only myself and a friend staying, though the space could easily accommodate another person or two.
Overall, a great place to stay at! I'd definitely recommend it.
