IrelandA really good trip
Left on 12/16/2011 for a stay in November 2011
The apartment was just as described in the ad. It was very central & easy to locate. The apartment was clean & warm with heat easy to use. It was very close to a market & a more than adequate small supermarket. It was also close to Paul's excellent boulangerie or to be more accurate a patisserie.
We really like the location but would have liked an extra armchair. The only glitch to our stay was that we couldn't get on wifi which was disappointing but we were almost beside a Starbucks so we managed.
There were a number of restaurants also nearby so one didn't have far to go if one wanted to eat out, a must when in Paris.
It was easy to access Charles de Gaulle airport directly by RER another bonus.
I think check out time is a bit early although I can understand why .
The apt building was very quiet.

Very comfortable one bedroom apartment, very clean. Building itself very quiet, but located on a popular street that was a bit noisy on weekend nights. Windows shut out all noise, but if you like windows open there will be a bit of noise. Very centrally located -- many things within walking distance. Comfortable furnishings and bed. Full lovely bathroom upstairs, plus a half bath downstairs. Would be nice to have two sets of towels per person --with no dryer, when you wash the towels you don't have any until they dry. Liked having wi-fi and english language TV.

Brisbane, AustraliaA true Parisienne experience in a great location
Left on 10/10/2011 for a stay in August 2011
We loved the apartment and the location.
The apartment is typically small for Paris but is well appointed and very quaint - especially the bedroom in the loft.
We knew the apartment was well located but we were very surprised just how close the Seine was - as well as a Metro.
The apartment is located in a quiet complex and is serviced by a lift. Although Rue St andre can be busy with pedestrian traffic on Fridays to Sundays, the double glazing cuts out the noise, so we slept well. While we did keep the bedroom window closed during the night, we used the electric fan at a low speed for comfort's sake.
The area is safe and not seedy. There's plenty of eating options to choose from.
We loved our stay and we are missing it already! -

If you can manage stairs up to the bedroom, this is a great place to stay. It's a very noisy street but the windows shut out all noise and it's got great restaurants nearby. This is our third stay and our first choice for a place to be in Paris.

Plano, TexasRe-discovering Paris!
Left on 12/06/2010 for a stay in November 2010
After 15 years of vacations where we stayed on the "right bank", this year we stayed on the left bank and were fortunate enough to have this wonderfully romantic, perfectly located apartment available. Our time was spent above ground strolling areas we have touched on, but never had the time to really explore... it was a terrific vacation full of memorable moments, sights, and, oh course, great food (especially our dinner at Le Grand Mericourt!!!). Can't wait to return... we have found our home away from home in Paris!

Sydney, AustraliaLocation, atmosphere & comfort - its all here
Left on 08/16/2010 for a stay in June 2010
We loved the apartment & thought it ideal for the 2 of us. Located in a lively & atmospheric area surrounded by cafes, speciality shops and just minutes from the markets of the Rue Buci and contemporary galleries in Rue de Seine. It is 5 minutes from the River Seine & Notre Dam. We loved the location of the bedroom and renovated bathroom in the attic, which only added to the romanticism & Parisian atmosphere.

I loved this apartment. You would not believe how quiet it was...and sleeping
upstairs made it very cosy. Two bathrooms for a one bedroom was also a
bonus. The neighborhood is the best in Paris, and to walk out your front door
into the heart of Paris is a privilege. I had a wonderful stay! -

Left on 11/28/2009 for a stay in November 2009
What a great location! This was our second time in Paris and it is in a fabulous location. There is great nightlife and restaurants all around. The Irish pub next door is a great place for local talent on Thurs.- Sat. We were a block from the metro, yet could walk anywhere. We didn’t spend much time at the apartment, but it was so close to everything, I could pop in and out when needed, loved it. Shower leaked, but I am sure they will fix that, no biggie. Great time!

Left on 10/21/2009 for a stay in October 2009
We have rented apts. in Paris 4 times in the last decade, and this was our best overall experience. All our dealings with VIP were professional and efficient. The best feature is mailing the keys to us before our trip. That way, we arrived in Paris and went straight to our apt. instead of making a stop someplace to pick up the keys.
The apartment at 30 rue St-Andre des Arts is a perfect Parisian home away from home. We appreciated the owner's obvious attention to detail. As previous renters, we were especially impressed by the more than adequate lighting (you could read in bed at night!), the comfy furniture, and the well-stocked kitchen. Not to mention the downstairs powder room!
Because I like to cook, it was close to shopping in "les supermarches" or shops. When my husband's wallet was stolen (after all our years of travel; it truly can happen to anyone) it was even an easy walk to the police station to file a report!
The location is perfect for sightseers, whether walking or using the Metro (steps to the St-Michel metro station). Rue St-Andre des Arts itself is a lively, mostly pedestrian street, with a great mix of boutiques, eateries, and local life (schools). We were there during La Nuit Blanche (Oct.3) and thoroughly enjoyed all the revelry.
Being able to live in the apartment like locals, albeit temporary ones, was the best part. We had a cozy haven to retreat to after our busy days. I can't think of a downside to this particular property for our needs. Thank you for a helping make our fifth trip to Paris (and 45th wedding anniversary) so very special! Sue and Larry Tittle -

We had a wonderful stay. The place was very clean and confortable.
Great location, close to everything.
The sleeping arrangement was perfect for our needs. A queen size bed upstairs wide enough for two peple and a double size sleeper for our daughter and friend downstairs.
Friendly neighborhood in the middle of a pedestrian coblestone street. My Daugther and friend talks about it all the time.
We would rent it again,

Bryn Mawr, PAPerfect Paris
Left on 05/13/2009 for a stay in March 2009
This apartment is in the perfect location for us. We have rented it twice and will do so again. It is perfect for a couple and perhaps one with small children but I would not recommend it for 2 couples. Since it occupies two floors, there is a nice separation so it doesn't seem as small as it sounds. There are all kinds of markets and places to eat very nearby. The street is noisy but the windows are very tight so it doesn't matter. The building is quiet and kept clean. Taking the RER from CDG is easy and puts you within a long block of the front door.

Portland, MaineCozy nest in the heart of Paris
Left on 05/13/2009 for a stay in January 2008
It was our first time renting an apartment rather than staying in a
hotel in Paris, but we'd do it again any time we had several days to
spend.
This apartment is a cozy nest in the very center of the left bank of
Paris, within walking distance of everything we wanted to do and
see. The street is indeed very very busy, day and night, however
the apartment is quiet and we slept well.
It is beautifully decorated and comfortable, even if relatively small.
Bedroom and bathroom on the upper floor feel spacious. The
kitchen is minimal but perfectly adequate for the take-out we
bought and other food we wanted to consume there instead of
paying for a restaurant on two of our days.
There was a problem with electrical outlets upstairs, but it wasn't a
major issue for us.
I don't know that I would recommend the space for more than 2
people, but for a couple it is perfect -- and a convenient base
from which to explore Paris! We were very happy with the choice.

Left on 05/13/2009 for a stay in November 2008
We loved the apt. The location just off Place St Michel is excellent for transportation options. There is a boulangerie just a few steps away, so getting a baguette for breakfast is easy. The apt is well equipped with coffee maker, espresso machine, toaster, iron and ironing board and washer. I didn't use the washer since there is no dryer. There are 2 laundromats within 3 blocks. I always use the one on rue de Seine. Rue St Andre becomes rue de Buci just down from apt. This is a market street so there are plenty of food options and cafes.
The bed was quite comfortable, just watch your head if you are tall. The rafters are low! you won't With the windows closed the apt is quiet but I think it would have some street noise if you had them open. If you are not bringing your laptop, there is an Internet cafe just around the corner on one of the side streets.
The only problem we had was with the apt. door. We came back very late one evening and could not get the door open. After trying for 220 minutes we decided to call our regular hotel and get a room for the night. I went into the hotel on the side street and asked if I could use their phone to call to see if space was available. The desk clerk overheard my conversation and said some French locks are hard to open. He came back to the apt. with us and got it open on the first try. He told us the secret is to pull the door firmly toward you while turning the key. We had no problems after that.
There are several excellent restaurants within walking distance. Le Reminet , Chez Fernand and Del Papa are our favorites.

Left on 05/12/2009 for a stay in November 2006
My family and I spent one week at this property. the location was ideal as was the apartment. Furnishings were perfect and the owner's artwork gave the place a very warming feeling.
I would recommend this apartment to anyone who wants to enjoy living the Parisian experience and not be treated like a tourist.
