French Kiss - Cozy One-Bedroom in Montmartre

Situated on the first floor in a "Montmartois" building, French Kiss is a romantic and cozy hideaway located on in a cobble-stoned passage.

The name of the apartment was inspired by Doisneau's "Le Baiser de L'Hôtel de Ville", which you find prominently featured in the living room. Never was a more romantic image of Paris taken by one of the world's most renowned photographers. Other images of Paris that have circled the world are featured throughout the apartment.

The apartment has been tastefully decorated to give you a feeling of calm and tranquility even in the busy city of lights.

The rooms overlook a small inner courty...ard and large windows allow in plenty of natural light.

Living room, bedroom and bathroom are all off the entrance hall with the living room having its own door in case you might need to make use of the sofa bed for a third guest.

You will admire the exposed original oak beams in the hall which is a trademark of some of the older buildings in Paris.

The apartment has been equipped with all the amenities that you would want for a weekend getaway or a long stay.

The open-plan KITCHEN has a combination microwave/oven with several program settings to allow you to either re-heat some of the goodies found in the local shops, or to whip up one of your own delightful meals.

The kitchen also has a washer/dryer for your convenience.

Enjoy a meal at "home" in the dining area that can sit up to four people.

The leather sofa bed opens up to a very comfortable small double (120 cm wide) bed perfect for an adult or a child.

Enjoy Cable Television with international news channels and stay connected with high speed internet access for your laptop computer. We will be installing a computer in the apartment by the Spring of 2008.

The BEDROOM contains a large wardrobe so you will have no trouble unpacking and putting away your things. There is a small writing desk in the corner if you decide to use the old fashioned way and write your postcards and letters. You can also use our Mac computer to access the internet and stay in touch with friends back home.

In place are two twin beds that zip together to form a queen size bed but can also be left as singles if you prefer.

The BATHROOM contains a good sized bathtub with shower.

This cozy, intimate retreat is a lovely place which to call home during your stay with us in Paris so we hope to see you soon at French Kiss.

The area is very well connected in terms of transportation. Our metro stations are Chateau Rouge, Lamarck-Caulaincourt or Jules Joffrin, all within 5-10 minutes.
Bus 85 is a great bus route to use to get to the Luxembourg gardens, St Michel and Notre Dame. Line 80 just around the corner will get you all the way to the Eiffel Tower and Porte de Versailles (for the Parc des Expositions). Metro line 12 connects you to Place de la Concord where you can take a leisurely stroll to the Jardin de Tuileries to arrive at the Louvre, the Musée d'Orsay, and to the Solferino station where you can connect to the RER C taking your to Versailles.
Line 4 at Chateau Rouge - though at times a rather busy line will whisk you to St Michel, Gare du Nord and Chatelet.
The apartment's placement also makes getting to Sacre Coeur quick and easy. You are less than 2 minutes walk away (if you take the stairs in our street), from one of Paris' breathtaking monuments.
Visit Place du Tertre up around Sacre Coeur where the likes of Van Gogh and Modigliany lived ate and breathed the life of an artist and feel what Montmartre of old was really like

  We had the most incredible holiday in Montmarte staying in French Kiss. The apartment is absolutely perfect in every way. Our 'home' was spotless, inviting, cozy and in the best spot in Montmarte in our opinion! Feels Like Home in Paris made the renting experience so very easy. We were met at the apartment, shown around and given some great tips on getting around in Paris.
  
  The apartment is in a great neighbourhood with amazing cafes and restaurants along with wonderful boulangeries - we tried many and then picked our favourite to buy baguette for our lunch!
  
  We spent the most romantic New Years Eve ever. Climbing up to Sacre Coeur just before midnight to watch the Eiffel Tower light up and experience the celebrations while sipping champagne was like nothing we have done before.
  
  We won't stay in a hotel again; a Flhp apartment is the way to experience Paris! Next time we will book some cooking lessons with Cook'nwithclass as we think this would have been a great addition to our week!

  We had a very positive experience renting through Feels like Home in Paris. The booking procedure was seamless, and prior to departure we were emailed very detailed check-in instructions. James met us at the apartment and gave us a very thorough orientation. There was also an information package on the laptop in the apartment which included everything and more you would want to know about the apartment and neighborhood.
  
  French Kiss was small, but nicely furnished, spotlessly clean, and very well equipped. We enjoyed the library of guide books and maps.
  
  The neighborhood around the apartment is completely untouristy and has a great selection of restaurants and food shops.
  
  Feels Like Home in Paris hosts a wine and cheese evening for its guests which we attended and really enjoyed.
  
  We certainly will be contacting Feels Like Home in Paris the next time we visit that wonderful city.

  We stayed at the French Kiss for one week and loved the location. It was close to restaurants and shopping and one of the staff was there to meet us when we arrived. We were even given a "welcome" basket. The apartment included all amentities one would need and was also very comfortable. I would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone who visits Paris. We were definitely pleased that we stayed in the Montmarte District.

  What a wonderful stay - perfectly located at the foot of the steps up to the Sacre Coeur. The apartment is small but well designed with a great little kitchen, living room and snug bedroom with fabulous bed. The shower in the bathroom is full power too! There are loads of maps and tour books in the cupboards as well as a delightful basket of kitchen complimentary items - gourmet coffee, teas, etc. The apartment was a joy to come home to every day after pounding the streets of Paris. Would definitely stay here again! Fantastic.

  French Kiss apartment is a wonderful location in Montemarte with easy access to bus, metro and 'hop on hop off' bus stops. All amenities were available and the apartment was very clean, well maintained and perfect for the 2 of us. We loved the idea of feeling like we were living in Paris rather than just staying in a hotel room.
