Left on 05/14/2013 for a stay in April 2013
The apartment was all the advertisement said it would be. Great location, clean and a good size apartment for two people .
We stayed for 10 days and would definitely stay in the apartment if we ever get back to Paris. Would have no problem in recommending to any body looking for a cosy little place to base themselves in Paris.
Bridget was extremely helpful and there to met us when we arrived. -

TorontoGreat apartment - Nice Location - Reliable Landlord
Left on 04/26/2013 for a stay in April 2013
The apartment is clean, spacious, modern, and in a very nice neighborhood. The building was clean as well and the neighbors were totally quite - as if we were alone. In terms of the apartment, I would highly recommend it to friends/family and I would re-book.
Landlord was very responsible and reliable, no fear of getting swindled at all, 100% solid communication.
Only opportunity to turn this rating into 5-stars was the bureaucracy and costs associated with deposit and insurance.
Specifically, we were asked by the landlord to initiate a bank wire which cost me $30 plus the time to go to a bank, wait in line, and request the wire. This is a costly and archaic way of sending money in 2013, in my opinion. I would have preferred to give her that money vs. giving it to the bank. Keep in mind, Paypal has a wire transfer service that costs only $1.84 from Canada for direct deposit of cash into landlords account with no wait/escrow period. If you can convince landlord to use Paypal - then awesome!
Also, the request from the landlord to purchase insurance was unique (we traveled to 6 cities on our trip and this was the only apartment that required the insurance).
So just add about $70 us to to the total cost to cover the bank wire transfer and insurance.
Keep in mind, this landlord was very by the book and reliable - bit of a double edged sword.
Again, I would recommend the apartment to anyone.

NottinghamNice Flat for Reasonable Price and Excellent Location
Left on 04/07/2013 for a stay in April 2013
The Flat is located in the centre of Paris. It is 40 metres away from Bastille Metro station. You don't need to go far to seek local shops, chain restaurants, super markets, and patisserie. You can find all these within a couple of streets.
It is perfect for couples, however 4 people can also stay without any inconvenience. All staff you need for staying such as hair dryer, iron, towel, cafe machine are available. Security of house is better than we expected.
The landlady, Bridget, she is a very friendly and helpful person. She is trying for your comfort. We did not have any problem regarding the house or money issue with her during our visit. She made a nice gesture to us as delivering our deposit before we left the Paris.
The price of rent is reasonable, in terms of its location and its comfort. I strongly suggest the house to the people who are seeking a place in the centre of Paris for a reasonable price. -

I'd never been to Paris before, so was uncertain of what to expect. Bridget made planning our stay, paying deposit and meeting us at the apartment so easy and Ican honestly say I can't wait to go back!
The apartment is 2 mins walk from the Bastille metro so navigating paris was easy. its walking distance (5 mins) into the Marais and a short walk to the ille st Louis. Perfect location in other words.
Inside was imacate with tasteful decor. Fully fitted kitchen with all the tools you need...but why would you...Paris is a gourmet feast so explore restaurants!
Overall a fantastic place to stay and a wonderfully friendly and helpful host. Highly recommended! -

Left on 12/24/2012 for a stay in December 2012
That includes an excellent location, comfort, cleanliness, ease of communication with owner, location, good kitchen and bath with washer/dryer!. And did I mention location? It's only about 25 yards to the Bastille metro stop. But why use the metro when you can easily walk to Notre Dame, Hotel de Ville, St. Michel, Place des Vosges and all of Le Marais? Oh, and it's right around the corner from one of the best bakeries in Paris, Gerard Mulot.
(One caveat if you have trouble walking: The apartment is up two flights of steep stairs.)
We liked this apartment so much, we've already booked our next stay at FabParisPad in the spring. -

This is our second visit to Bridget's lovely apartment, stylish and safe with a reassuring security system that made us happy to leave our passports and stuff behind when we went out. Beautiful view from the (4th?) floor bedroom of the Bvd. Beaumarchais below. As it happened we rarely used the facilities so can't really comment on the cooker, tv etc except to say the bed was comfortable and the coffee machine worked fine. Furniture was probably more functional than fabulous and there's not a great deal of living room space (though the designers have made brilliant use of it, specially the bathroom) but it was clean, well looked-after and we thought this was pretty good value for money. Way better than any hotel in our experience. Bridget was a joy to do business with - charming, trusting, sensible and helpful. We hope we'll be back.

This is a wonderful apartment: perfect kitchen, great shower, good bed in a nice bedroom, stylish and quiet livingroom facing the courtyard. Bridget, the owner, is very kind and helpful. The location can't be beaten: the street itself is a bit a back alley, but only ten steps away from a boulevard, with restaurants, metro, velolib, the best bakery, supermarket etc. And Place de la Bastille and Place des Vosges just around the corner! Highly recommended

Left on 10/16/2012 for a stay in September 2012
FabParisPad was a terrific base for our 4 day Paris stay. It is well situated only a 2 minute walk to shops, restaurants and the Metro (Bastille), with quick and easy access to the main tourist attractions. Place des Vogues, a lovely quiet park area is also just around the corner. The apartment is light and quite roomy by Paris standards (for 2 people), with efficient use of space and a modern kitchen and bathroom adding to the comfort levels. It is also very tastefully furnished. The bedroom window overlooks a busy Paris street, but double glazed windows means it is very quiet at night with the windows closed. The kitchen is well fitted out with modern appliances, including a coffee machine. Another bonus was the free international phone calls (to land lines, no mobiles). Bridget, the owner, was very helpful and met us at the apartment, showing us around and leaving us with a very informative folder containg maps, suggested restaurants, instructions for appliances etc. Work was being done on the interior courtyard while we were there - Bridget was very apologetic, warning us in advance and giving us the option of staying elsewhere. The apartment is very secure, with the only downside being the 3 flights of old, steep steps to get to the apartment, which could prove an issue with less able folk.

We just returned from a 3 night stay at this wonderful apartment. The apartment has recently been renovated and is nicely decorated and spotless. The location is wonderful - just a short walk to the metro station with 3 lines, which makes it very easy to get around Paris. Many of the central areas are walkable such as Notre Dame. We really enjoyed our stay and wished we could have stayed longer.

Left on 07/23/2012 for a stay in July 2012
We truly enjoyed every minute of our stay in Paris! We could not have asked for a better situation. The apartment was in a perfect location, with easy access to the metro. The kitchen had everything we needed to put together our breakfasts and a simple dinner one night. We really appreciated the coffee pod/espresso machine and the New Zealand bubbly Bridget provided. :-). Even the construction project in the courtyard didn't bother us at all. They were pretty quiet, and we were usually out the door for the day by the time they got started.
Everything was very clean, and Bridget has very thoughtfully provided anything a traveler or long-term visitor could need. It actually made me wonder why we seem to "need" so much stuff in our own home! :-). We hope to come back to Paris again sometime in the not-so-distant future, and we would definitely stay here again. Thank you, Bridget! Jill, Jeff and Ellie Hanson -

This place really grew on me. I was not overwhelmed at first. The apartment building is under major renovation so windows look out onto scaffolding. We had been warned about this. The several flights of stairs were exhausting, especially after a long, hot walk from Gare de Lyon to the apartment. Later on, they didn't seem so bad. Bridget was welcoming and very organized and professional. She gave suggestions about restaurants and markets. She showed us how to use appliances and had lots of written helpful information. The apartment is small and lacks a dining table and chairs. The kitchen bar worked OK for 2 of us, but I would not like eating major meals there. You would not want to open the bedroom window for air, since it opens out onto a busy street. With the window closed, noise was not a problem. Courtyard windows provided OK ventilation during our stay and a fan was provided. This place is in a great location. There are so many wonderful restaurants and stores nearby. One final suggestion to Bridget -- get a trash can for the kitchen and provide people with some trash bags.

Look no more - this is the apartment to stay in if you are travellers seeking a very "Parisienne" abode with everything you need at your doorstep. The apartment itself is all we wanted and more. The quiet bedroom with a comfy bed overlooks a tree lined boulevard leading to the Place de Bastille. The bathroom is modern with great water pressure in the shower. Open plan living/kitchen was light and welcoming, overlooking an internal courtyard. The decor is trendy yet felt like a home away from home, and applicances are modern. Everything is immaculately clean. FabParisPad is situated in a quiet cul de sac, 50 metres from the underground and Paris "tourist buses", a short walk to the river, Place des Vogses, and some "local" restaurants, bakeries etc just around the corner. The highlight of our stay was our hostess Bridget (an ex Kiwi) whose genuine warmth, care and the many little extra touches in our own little apartment made our stay in Paris just wonderful. Enjoy the complimentary bottle of Bordeaux, Bridget's comprehensive info book, a selection of guide books and local things to do, ample supplies of pantry staples etc etc. As older novice travellers in Paris for the first time, just knowing Bridget was the other end of the phone if need be was a blessing. And at the end of a day exploring, footsore and exhausted, we looked forward to returning to our sanctuary - FabParisPad. Don't be frustrated by the need for a lease and insurance - well worth the effort. Enjoy!

Bridget was most welcoming and helpful during our stay. The apartment had everything we could have wanted (including free phone calls to New Zealand which was most helpful). The bedroom was lovely, coffee machine fantastic and lovely bathroom. We found the district really interesting and the close proximity of the Bastille mean't it was so convenient to catch the open to tour bus which was very worthwhile( buy for two days!)
Metro was also very close.
The stairs were the only slight inconvenience but everything else made up for it. -

Left on 06/06/2012 for a stay in May 2012
FabParisPad lived up to all our expextations for a great base from which to explore Paris. The apartment is very well maintained/presented and provides all the essentials for a longer stay in Paris. Bridget is very well organised (with attention for detail) and has obviously thought about the needs of holiday makers who prefer to "do their own thing" including providing free wifi/washing machine/free use of phone for all but mobile calls as well as cable t.v. The kitchen was small but had everything necessary for basic meals (we only had breakfast at the apartment). the only thing that stops us ranking this apartment is the stairs up to the apartment (3rd floor) which are steep and so not ideal if like us you have a lot of luggage(there is no lift).the only other point is that some holiday makers may prefer to be a bit closer to the city centre but the metro is very close. all in all, had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay at FabParisPad

Left on 05/31/2012 for a stay in May 2012
This apartment is perfectly located on the edge of the Marais, close to the Bastille Monument. We were able to use the metro station located by the Monument to access the city, as well as walk to some of the city's best sights and shopping.
The apartment is well equipped with a all the modern conveniences of home, and then some. A coffee maker, plus a coffee machine that uses the little pods is just one example.
Although the bedroom window opens to a busy street, I was hard pressed to hear any street noise at any time of the day or night.
Bridget was great to work with and had some great sightseeing, transport and restaurant recommendations for us.
I suppose the question is 'would we stay there again?', the answer is: Without hesitation Bridget will be the first person I will try to contact when we are planning another trip to Paris. -

My daughter and I stayed in this amazing apartment which is close to the Bastille. The owner, Bridget, was incredibly helpful both before we arrived and while we were in Paris. She was there to meet us on our arrival with all the information we needed. The apartment is beautifully renovated in every way making our stay so comfortable and safe.We found the apartment contained everything we needed to make our stay perfect, and having a great coffee machine is always a bonus. We found the position excellent and easily accessible from the train station and local metro. We were also able to walk to almost any of the major tourist sites. Supermarkets and produce shops are close by and made us feel like locals. We were able to use the phone to call home and access local numbers as well. Bridget was always available for help if we needed her. The internet connection was always available, which is a great help.
We plan to return to Paris and this is where we will stay. We would recommend this apartment without hesitation. -

Left on 01/28/2012 for a stay in December 2011
We stayed in the apartment in early December and loved every aspect of it. From the moment we arrived and were greeted by the very friendly and helpful Bridget, to the moment we made a sad farewell to the beautiful city of Paris, 10 days later. Bridget provided us with lots of tips on arrival, but then left us alone to do our own thing, which we really appreciated.
The photos definitely reflect "Fab Paris Pad" and is very modern in a cute little apartment block. In fact the apartment is bigger than we expected and had everything you could hope for and others you wouldn't normally expect, such as an espresso machine, free wifi and free international phone calls, which came very much in handy.
The apartment is in a great area, which seemed very "local". We did not notice a lot of tourists in the area (although that may have been because it was Winter), even though it was easy access to a lot of attractions. In the immediate area there is Place de Vosges and Place de la Bastille, as well as a lot of shops, cafes and restaurants and the wonderful Marche Richard Lenoir (farmers' market).
Notre Dame and Isle de la Cite are within easy walking distance and we even walked to the Louvre one day. There is also the Bastille Metro stop just around the corner, which takes you to most of the major tourist attractions within minutes.
We would highly recommend this place to anyone and could not fault it. Even the fact that it is up four flights of stairs helped in reducing some of the damage done by the croissants, souffles and nutella crepes. -

Also, Bridgett provides many extra touches such as coffee and hot chocolate. Would definitely return again when we visit Paris.

Left on 11/23/2011 for a stay in November 2011
We spent a month in the apartment with the aim of getting to know the city better, having had shorter stays on several previous occasions in other areas of the city. This apartment has a perfect location only a few hundred metres from Bastille Metro. It is on the border of Bastille and the Marais, creating a multitude of opportunities to have a meal or a drink. The bathroom and toilet do not require any circus training as contortionists as in some in Paris as the area is spacious and well laid out. The kitchen is well equipped, modern and spotless and will easily create a home cooked meal or reheat the spoils of a trip to local boulangeries or markets. The automatic washer/dryer will ensure that your clothing is well maintained with a minimum of fuss and you do not offend Parisian views of attire or personal cleanliness. If Bridget is in NZ watching the France/NZ final of the World Cup her husband Damien will interrupt his viewing of the event to let you in and give you a full if speedy induction into the apartment. The 53 steps up to the apartment might prove an obstacle for a few but are a God send for the vast majority, providing the license to eat one more pain au chocolate or tarte au citron. This apartment receives only good reviews because, as a base to explore the city and return to a comfortable bed for a good nights sleep, it is unbeatable.

Left on 10/15/2011 for a stay in October 2011
Highly recommended. The FabParisPad is a well equipped, comfortable, quiet, and convenient apartment at a reasonable rate. We especially liked having a small grocery store (Verger de la Bastille), a very large farmers' market (two days a week in season), and every kind of restaurant - from Greek deli, and a Cuban Restaurant (Cuba Campagnie) - nearby on Boulevard Beaumarchais. We also liked the easy access to the metro and bus lines (especially #69) at nearby Place de la Bastille. Our host, Bridget, was pleasant and very helpful. Take a copy of alex Karmel's book a Corner in the Marais with you if you're interested in the architecture of the building and the area.

Very nice apartment. Clean. Good location. Apartment size is good. Appliances (washer/dryer, dishwasher, stove, fridge, ...) are all very good (not like some cheap stuff used in hotel as a standard equipment). Owner is very friendly. I have already recommended to my friends. Booking process is little bit complicate, but at the end I feel it is worth to book and stay here. One cons - it's on 3rd floor without elevator. If you have big luggage or have difficult to climb stairs, you will miss this good apartment.

Brigite was a wonderful host, friendly and efficient.
Pro: Location - walking distance to Place des Vosges, several main bus and subway lines. Apt is very sunny, overlooking small courtyard in living and bedroom is street side facing a gorgeous tree. Both rooms lots of light. Street parking available otherwise nearby public lot is easily accessible. She includes a helpful local guide to markets, super markets, etc. Living room is good size for Paris, so you could easily add another couple. Washing machine and dishwasher came in very handy!
Con: I would stay here again. Keep in mind if traveling with family some considerations include no bathtub (we brought a blow up one for baby) and walking up to the 4th floor us. Because bedroom faces the boulevard, I imagine that it could be loud if window open at night. For us, it wasn't a problem.

We enjoyed walking the local area, shopping in the small, quirky shops and cooking the fabulous fresh produce. Everyone we met was extremeley kind and tolerant of our lack of French, although we still had a go when we could.
The apartment is warm, stylish and very well equipped for cooking, a rare treat. -

Bridget (the owner) was lovely. Friendly, helpful and very welcoming. It was just what we needed after a long train journey from our home in England. The apartment is in a great location, and we found it easy to walk to the Marais... Notre Dame... The Louvre...and if you walk in the opposite direction, about a mile from the Cimeterie Pere Lachais. An added bonus, we thought was a resident pianist in one of the other appartments, it certainly added to the atmosphere! I would certainly come back to this appartment. Thanks Bridget, for making our stay feel so special.

This place was amazing. I was a little skeptical because I didn't see anything bad written about the place at all, but it's true! This place is perfect, and I have nothing bad to say about the rental. Bridget is extremely friendly and helpful.
The apartment is located in a perfect neighborhood for nightlife, food, and restaurants. Two blocks away from the Sunday market at Marais and a 5 minute walk to the metro. I would definitely stay here again. -

FabParisPad is clean safe and quiet with modern appliances in kitchen plus modern bathroom extremely close to metro and also easy walking to Marais and even the Pompidou centre, plus Notre Dame and the Latin Quarter. Heaps of restaurants and cafes within 3 minutes walk..we ate at Japanese, Creperie and famous L'as du Falafel (bit further to walk but worth it). The apartment was warm and the instructions and greeting were clear and friendly. Highly Recommended.

The apartment was an incredible place to stay, well equipped, central, secure and comfortable. We felt like we were really living the Parisian lifestyle. Bridget's care both before and during our stay was first rate. The apartment is genuinely better than the photographs show and I have already recommended it to friends. We would love to return.

Seattle100 Percent Happy with FabParisPad
Left on 11/25/2010 for a stay in November 2010
My wife and I stayed at FabParisPad for 12 nights and cannot mention one single negative comment! Truly. What a refreshing surprise that the apartment was exactly as described, perhaps even roomier than expected, and there were no disappointments. None. The charming owner, Bridget, has equipped the place with every necessity for a week-or-two long stay. Wonderful shower, water pressure, endless supply of hot water. Ice cubes!! Espresso machine... She was there to greet and answer any questions (in English luckily for us typical american monolinguists). We are both professional chefs and found the kitchen to be a dream combined with access to the Bastille open air market right outside the door (Thursdays & Sundays) and local charcuterie, wine shop. Although this apt. is technically located in the Bastille neighborhood you are just a two minute walk from Place des Vosges- the heart of the Marais- without all the noise at night. Our bedroom was a dark, quiet, fluffy joy after walking all day. Plenty closet space for everything and nice layout in the bathroom for someone who travels with dozens of toiletries. Yes, there are stairs to the 4th floor apt. but you get used to it right away. Walk off all those macarons and croissants! Quiet building felt totally safe and secure always. Metro is literally right outside the door, but if you are wanting to see Central Paris you may not even use metro or bus transport that much. Treat yourself to a walk from one end of the Seine to the Eiffel tower and back down the other side. FabParisPad will greet you and your tired feet with a hot shower, a martini (got to find your own gin, sorry) and the Golf Channel (in French). I don't think we could have had a better stay at the George V Hotel. Thank you, Bridget. Cheers.

The apartment was perfect and Bridget was kind and helpful.
My husband and I stayed at Bridget's apartment for 12 days from October 22nd- Nov 1st. We loved the apartment!!! It is in a perfect location and it is a lovely place, complete with many nice amenities. Bridget is a wonderful host. She was very helpful when we arrived and made us feel at home. We will without a doubt stay here the next time we visit Paris. We have also recommended Bridget's apartment to many of our friends. -

Bridget's Fab apartment is just that, we loved the apartment it is very stylish and comfortable with everything we needed for our three nights in Paris. So close to metro and the wonderful streets of the Marais area and Bastille. The apartment was a quiet haven when we had exhausted ourselves with walking. The stairs are a bit of a challenge with a suitcase - but that is Paris! Loads of restaurants, stylish shops and the beautiful Place de Voges all close by.

Brisbane Australia.Great apartment in central location
Left on 11/04/2010 for a stay in October 2010
My wife and I stayed in this apartment for 5 day and really enjoyed our stay and found Bridget very friendly and helpful. The apartment nicely decorated and is roomier then most in Europe, its bathroom very modern and kitchen has quality appliances that work well. The bedroom is a good size with roomy cupboards and a comfortable bed. The bedroom window looks out over a pretty though busy road but is double glazed and kept out street noise. The apartment is very close to Bastille and a good range of restaurants. There is a very small general store nearby; otherwise it's a 10-15 min walk to a larger supermarket. The metro is just outside the apartment and is on 3 metro lines including the yellow line that goes to all major tourist attractions. The walk from the apartment past Place des Vosges and on to Pompidou Museum is also a must as you walk past numerous interesting shops and old buildings. This apparently is the Marais district and is certainly very popular with locals. The apartment is however on the third floor and there is no lift so it's a bit of a carry if you have heavy suitcases.

Southern CaliforniaExceeded our expectations
Left on 10/08/2010 for a stay in September 2010
We recently stayed a week at Bridget's apartment. We had read the all the Tripadvisor reviews and were looking forward to our first stay in a Paris private apartment (we have stayed at hotels during prior trips to Paris). But the apartment and its location were far better than our expectations. Bridget's apartment is very clean, spacious for the two of us, and well equipped. It is located close to the Bastille metro which made getting around Paris easy. There are plenty of nearby restaurants, shops and markets; and the trendy Marais boutiques and Place des Vosges are just a short walk from the apartment.
The apartment is located in a secure building. One thing to consider: the building does not have an elevator and you have a lot of stairs to overcome before you get to the apartment entrance. However, we didn't find the stairs to be a burden but they are something to consider.
The Bridget is a gem and quite knowledgeable about Paris. She is very easy to deal with and quite helpful--making our first Paris apartment rental an enjoyable experience. We would happily return as her tenant. -

The apartment is very clean and well equipped with many extras available to ensure a comfortable stay. I was really pleased to find the apartment was not only like the photos but has a lovely feel to it.
We found the position was excellent. There are many great restaurants nearby and also the markets on Thursday and Saturday. We found walking and the nearby Metro great ways to see the sites and explore Paris. -

We found the fabparispad v fab indeed. Bridget is efficient and helpful, the apartment itself was v comfortable and all the telcos worked (!! may seem like a small deal to you, but we stayed in Paris at the end of 3 months around Europe and the telcos / net access was intermittent at best).
I had a concern about it being on the third floor but in the end that was fine.
The location is terrific and it is great value. I have already recommended it to some friends who are travelling there later this month. -

Boston, MAPractically perfect Paris pad
Left on 07/04/2010 for a stay in June 2010
Our 3 night stay at Bridget's fab Paris pad was nearly perfect. Pre-arrival, Bridget was very helpful and responsive to my many questions. She kept us updated about the earliest possible time we could drop off our luggage while the place was still being cleaned up for our stay.
The place itself if perfectly located just a few steps from Place de la Bastille, with lots of cafes and stores. The Metro stop is also just steps away; easy access to taxis and buses. You can walk to loads of places as well.
The building is a charming old building with multiple layers of secured locked doors. The apartment is on the 4th floor. My 3 year olds are very accustomed to stairs and we don't use strollers, so this may be a consideration for other families with young children. The apartment itself is compact but well-appointed. The bedroom is small but sufficient-there isn't a dressing table. The living area has one sofa bed- when closed up, it left a wide empty floor space perfect for toddlers to play on the floor with their toys and books. The kitchen is small but again perfectly functional and sufficient for a short stay. The bathroom is just renovated and very nice. It has a standing shower and no bath tub. The windows are really good at keeping noise out.
Although there is a laundry machine, note this is not like the more industrial us washers and dryers. Our load of laundry took hours and hours to complete.
We would stay at this apartment again in a heartbeat. Friends of ours who visited with us during this trip paid more for a midtier hotel room without breakfast or coffee. The direct comparison of price/value to a hotel room is stark.

Loved the small apartment. Had everything that we could possibly required; Was well insulated against the hussle and bustle of the traffic outside, but we still enjoyed the sound of the piano player in the other apartment. The bakery two blocks away was very handy, the best coffe we had was at Cafe de Paris in place de la Bastille. We really loved the area and although it was a hard slog getting up the stais after a busy day, we had a fabulous time. Bridget was extremely helpful and answered all our questions. see you next year!

This self contained apartment was a fantastic find. The host was very friendly and helpful. The location is central to many of the major attractions in Paris - located as it is just behind the Bastille. The apartment was comfy with all mod cons including wifi. Trains and Buses were a hop skip and a jump away and there was a fantastic selection of places to eat and shop just nearby in the Le Marais area, perhaps 5 mins walk. If we went back, we would stay there again. We had a 5 year old child with us and the place was well equipped with washing machine, dishwasher and modern appliances.

Bridget is a wonderful and organized hostess. Her apartment is well-appointed, clean and up to date. First, the apartment is conveniently located near the Bastille Metro and is near a major thoroughfare (Rue San antoine) convenient for dining, shopping, etc. For women travellers, please note that the access to the building is quite safe. There are 3 secured doors to access the building. The apt is on the 3rd floor with no elevator/lift. But once you arrive, it is beautiful and open. We used both the bedroom and the sofa bed with no complaints/issues. It was fantastic having a clean shower, washing machine, and room to spread out unlike the typical small Paris hotel room. Bridget has prepared an excellent reference binder which is kept in the apt to assist you in operating the appliances in the apt among other things. All and all, a wonderful experience! When (not if) I return to Paris, I will definitely stay in this lovely apt again! Thanks so much Bridget!

My friend and I stayed at this apt in June 2010. It was quite warm in the city (unusual for this time of year) but the apt has windows that can be opened for a cross breeze. The apt location was perfect - one block to the metro or catch a cab right in front of the building. Very clean and easy to understand instructions left for operation of the TV, coffee maker, etc. The apt is on the third floor and no elevator but extremely secure and safe. I would definitely stay at this apt again!

I had a fantastic time at this apartment. I stayed for 10 weeks and it had everything I needed. It's beautifully decorated, highly functional and very comfortable.
It has a full kitchen, great shower and lovely bedroom overlooking the street. It's warm and cosy in winter. The free internation phone calls are a real bonus, as well as the cable television and internet connection.
The location is excellent. It's one minute to Bastille metro station (three lines and good connections for train stations). There are restaurants, movie theatres and markets on the doorstep and supermarkets close by. It's lovely for strolling around the Marais area and a short walk down to the Seine.
I would highly recommend this apartment. It's perfect for a short or long stay and you'll really feel like you're living like a Parisian! -

The apartment is in a good location, a quiet street but convenient for local transport links and within 10 minute walking distance of the centre of Marais.
The apartment is pristine, very clean and tastefully furnished. There were four adults in our group staying for three nights, the apartment was ample in size for a short break however would have been too confined for four adults for a week stay. The apartment is perfect for a couple's break in Paris.
We would definitely recommend the apartment to friends and family and would consider staying there again. -

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at this apartment very much. It has just been renovated, and includes a very functional and well appointed kitchen, with diswasher, fridge, eat-in bar; sitting area (including pull out couch) and flat screen TV; lovely reappointed bedroom with a quality mattress; and a terrific new bathroom with walk-in shower and washing machine. The fact that the appartment was a four floor walk up was only a minor inconvenience. The location was very convenient, being a very short walk to La Bastille and Place des Vosges. We found the apartment to be very private and quiet (although there might be some steet noise in the summer if it is necessary to open the triple glazed bedroom window). Bridget was very helpful in getting us oriented and making useful suggestions on where to eat. We would happily stay here again and will recommend it to friends.

The apartment is located in the trendy Marais district and the Bastille is only a few steps away. There are plenty of great cafes, bars, restaurants and shops in the area, and some of the greatest French landmarks are only minutes away.
It doesn't matter if you're a tourist or a local - it caters for everyone. Staying in this FabParisPad allows you to have the creature comforts of home, while enjoying the Parisian experience.
We loved staying here and will definitely be coming back. I doubt you would find another apartment that offers style, comfort, convenience and location for such an economical price, anywhere else in Paris. AND Bridget is wonderful!

The apartment itself is in a really typical old Parisian house but its been totally renovated with all applicances etc you could need. Security is great too. Its really bright, the living area looking out into a courtyard with ivy growing up the outside walls with neutral and restful furnishings. I especially liked the black and white bedroom.
We will be staying here again this year !
