WellingtonCharming apartment- great location
Left on 04/20/2013 for a stay in April 2013
The booking was easy to arrange and we were warmly welcomed. The apartment is charming, incredibly quiet, well furnished and comfortable. The location between the Boulevard St Germaine and the Seine is wonderful, close to a range of restaurants, two supermarkets, a small movie theatre, and a patisserie, handy to buses and the metro, and a short walk to to the Notre Dame, Shakespeare's Bookshop and the bustle of the Latin Quarter and St Germaine. We would come back tomorrow!

Burbank, CALatin Quarter Comfort
Left on 01/11/2013 for a stay in January 2013
This cozy, comfortable apartment is strategically located near some of the best sights in all of Paris. A stone's throw from Notre Dame, it rests on the fringe of the lively French Quarter and has easy access to two metro stops that can whisk you to other Paris sights. It's very clean; very comfortable. We went in winter and the heater was more than up to the task to keep us warm. The kitchen is compact but fully stocked with everything you'd need to conjur up a meal. I would stay there again in a heartbeat. An excellent property.

Dublin, IrelandGreat location and very comfortable for a couple. Beware of Wifi
Left on 09/02/2012 for a stay in August 2012
My husband chose this apartment as he loves this area of Paris. This apt is located right in the middle of Latin Quarter, five mins walk walk to Notre Dame.
Tons of restaurants nearby. We spent 5 days with our 2 teenage children.
Situated on quiet lane, just one flight up - which is refreshing in old buildings in Paris. Paris was packed with tourists at this time of year but the building was quiet as was the street below. The apartment is small but attractive and clean. The living room/kitchen has an couch/bed that was very comfortable and could sleep two children/teens. One tiny bedroom (just big enough for a bed and one side table - and not enough room for two people to get dressed at once).
The apartment is great for two but a big cramped for more than that. However, when you are out all day it is sufficient. It has all that you need, a small but well stocked kitchen, dishwasher, washing machine and more. There are books and travel guides on the shelves (with a take one, leave one policy) and recommendations for places to eat in a folder left by the owners.
There was one big flaw for us which others had written about but had hoped for the best. The connection to the wifi, was erratic irrational and very annoying. My husband and I needed to do some work on our computers in morning and this proved to be extremely difficult, until we figured out that one can not connect more than one computer/iphone/tablet at once otherwise the connection fails. The owner was abroad and there was an unexpected problem with key and resolving internet.
If internet connection problem is resolved, I would highly recommend this apartment for a couple or max three people. -

Melbourne FlCozy and comfortable apartment in a great location
Left on 06/05/2012 for a stay in May 2012
We stayed in a hotel in Paris the first night bacause we arrived one day early. The Hotel was over $200 a night and was a big closet.
We were delighted when we got to the apartment. A comforable living room, a small kitchen and a tiny bedroom. The living room has a great pullout couch. Real pleased with it. There is aTV with dvd player. Bring ,a few movies. The internet was temperamental. We were able to call the us at no charge. The bed could use a new mattress. The washing machine is small and primitive. Bring your own shampoo and soap. Much better than staying in a hotel. Small supermarkets are close by as are several bakeries . Have a great trip

Mountain View CA3 1/2 star apartment in nice but loud area
Left on 06/05/2012 for a stay in May 2012
Love the neighborhood. The apartment was lovely and cozy, a little more storage would have been nice. Quality of amenities (linens, coffee pot, washer etc.) in general was just average. Other reviews had indicated it could be noisy but it was much worse than I had imagined. Could not sleep without earplugs in the living room, almost as bad in the bedroom. Actually difficult to have a quiet early evening conversation due to the noise.

Los AngelesGreat location; good apartment
Left on 12/09/2011 for a stay in November 2011
Best part of this apartment is the location - easily walkable to metro and lots of sights. Also, the local market and shops are killer - cheese, wine, bakery, produce and chocolate within easy reach.
Apartment could be great w/ a couple touches: could use a through cleaning to get those hard-to-reach places spotless. Closets have a sort of "lived-in" feel to them. And renters should know that the bed is a double bed in a room that is just big enough for the bed and not much else. That said, I would stay there again and would recommend to a friend. It was nice to have the couch/kitchen and the extra space that you just don't get with a hotel. -

Buffalo, NYFantastic Location Near Notre Dame!
Left on 10/03/2011 for a stay in September 2011
We were very impressed with the location - so close, just blocks, to Notre Dame and the Pantheon. The amenities were average but the location more than made up for that. There were a few bars/nightclubs on the same street and the neighborhood was pretty noisy at night - that was the only downside. We enjoyed everything else and if you like bakeries - the Eric Kayser boulangerie was just a few blocks away. We had amazing pastries and croissants each day and walked to nearby Berthillon, the famous ice cream shop many times!

We had a great stay in the Paris. The apartment has a great location, and we felt we had everything we needed was really near by. The interior is cozy, and the owners very friendly. The WiFi connection was unstable, but this has probably been fixed by now. We couldn't have had a better stay. Thanks for a great experience.

Left on 07/07/2011 for a stay in May 2011
This was a fabulous spot with the metro, local shops, markets and restaurants all within easy reach. It was secure, comfortable and relatively roomy. Having said that it was somewhat noisy on weekends as there was a bar down below in lane way where young people gathered. The little kitchenette was adequate for our needs, sofa bed okay and plenty of books to exchange with. It was handy having a washing machine but then we had to take our wet washing to laundrette anyway to dry it. On the downside...the shower curtain was very scummy and we srubbed it and put it through the washing machine our selves. On the surface things looked clean but inside drawers and cupboards it was quite unclean and had previous peoples leftovers.

Left on 07/06/2011 for a stay in June 2011
We had a wonderful time staying at this apartment in Paris! The space easily accomodated my wife, two daughters (10 and 11), and I. The owner met us on a Sunday, and helped to facilitate the delivery of our luggage, which was initially lost by the airline (the delivery company only spoke French). The listing description is very accurate and the apartment is exactly as it appears in the photos. There were many shops and restaurants nearby, and the neighborhood felt very safe. This is the perfect location to stay while in Paris. I would definately recommend this property to a friend or relative.
We were also able to make free telephone calls to the U.S.! -

This is the best way to travel not only in Paris but in any country you visit. I just wish Cobblestay was available everywhere I went. This place is very clean, convenient as it is close to a bank and Metro stop and what a treat to walk by the Notre Dame in the evening after dinner. Just remember that there are neighbors in the building so you can't really be too loud after 10PM and a few bottles of wine. But other than that this place is a gem!

The apartment had a great location, just south of Notre Dame. The place was perfect for two, but would certainly work for two couples (but no more). Conveniently, there are three supermarkets a half block away.

great location, cute apartment. one inconvenience would be that we flew into paris early morning and didn't have a place to put our luggage anywhere.
the apartment is in a great location, couple of steps from the metro, so close to notre dame, markets and cafes everywhere.
the bedroom was really cold, so we just slept in the living room sofa bed - a brand new sofa so the mattress was better than the bedroom one.
all in all, easy check in/out, great location, cozy and cute. -

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 5 days. The apartment is extremely charming, the bed is very comfortable, the building and area safe and a stone's throw away from Norte Dame. Great access to some of the most charming areas in Paris. Local farmers market and great grocery stores, cheese and wine store very close. An excellent place to stay while exploring Paris, much better than a hotel. The owners are wonderful and very accomodating!

Left on 01/19/2011 for a stay in January 2011
This apartment was really beautiful, spacious, clean, and conveniently located to metro stations and many cafes and restaurants. Overall we had few complaints- the only downside was the Internet connection did not work and the phones did not work unless they were kept in their cradles while you used them. Not having Internet was somewhat inconvenient but in the grand scheme of things was not a major concern. It was so great to have a kitchen area and a spacious bathroom. Many great shops and cafes are within walking distance with an especially delicious bakery right across the street! We would definitely recommend this apartment to others, especially for the price!

TorontoOkay, but would choose another place next time
Left on 12/20/2010 for a stay in April 2010
The good: The apartment is a 5 min walk to the Notre Dame and has plenty of bakeries, markets, restaurants, bike rental, subway etc. within metres. We arrived early, but were accomodated by the owner who met us and let us into the apartment early. Everything in the kitchen worked, there's free phone calling to North america and wifi.
The bad: The apartment is worn, dated and smelled slightly mouldy but was otherwise clean.
The apartment is shaded and doesn't have the exposure to allow much sunlight to enter the apartment - it felt gloomy until we went outside.
On the ground floor beneath the apartment are a couple of bars / clubs. The patrons are noisy when they take breaks out on the street.
No elevator, but very few of the old buildings in Paris' historic districts have them.
Conclusion: Paris apartments and hotels are pricey, this place was acceptable for the price and only exceptional with regard to neighbourhood amenities (6 out of 10)

The location of this apartment is absolutely fantastic, really central and accessible to pretty much everything. This is a small but lovely apartment in a perfect location to explore the city on foot. There were many markets and restaurants/cafes just down the street. Eric, owner of the apartment, was also quite accessible and willing to answer questions and make recommendations. We loved the city and can't wait to come back to explore it further!

Chicago, IllinoisTwo Problems
Left on 02/03/2010 for a stay in January 2010
We paid extra for the "early check-in" but the apartment was still being cleaned when we arrived. (Normally I wouldn't care, but we were forced into the early arrival package.) Moreover, the apartment was absolutely freezing -- the heat hadn't been turned out -- and it took 36 hours to get up to proper temp.
Response from CobbleStay.com - 02/18/2010
Manager
Thanks for the review and honest feedback from our guest. We are glad that he still recommended the property overall. We wanted to address his two concerns. The guests chose the early arrival with less than 12 hours before their arrival and so the manager wasn't able to go to the apartment overnight to set the heating for their arrival. It didn't help that January 2010 was one of the coldest months on record in Paris, even for a Chicago native. Indeed, the dishwasher was running when the guests arrived, and we are sorry for that. The rest of the apartment was reported clean.

Washington, DCLovely, bright apartment w/ great windows/city views; Perfectly
Left on 01/06/2010 for a stay in January 2010
This apartment has almost a full wall of large windows that overlook a perfect Paris cityscape and provide abundant natural light (even in late December!) and open/close for fresh air and climate control. We stayed here for almost 2 wks and could have stayed months without feeling like sardines. Apt is not large, but space is well-optimized. The bathroom is modern with a fabulous, deep bathtub and plenty of hot water. Kitchen was small, but large enough for us to cook several full-blown meals. You'll find a large selection of fresh markets, bakeries, butcher shops, etc and grocery stores within two blocks of the apartment. We love to see good prints of old US movies (v.o.) and this year we saw six classics all within 1/2 mile of the apartment. Location offers excellent metro (subway) and metro bus access, and we explored almost all areas of Paris with ease. Finally, the apt owners were responsive, attentive, friendly and accommodated our arrival on Xmas eve. We would definitely stay here again!
