Events of September 11th and United's bankruptcy caused me to take an early retirement from United Airlines' Paris base so my wonderful Paris apartment is now available for YOU to enjoy while I'm in San Diego. I now offer unlimited calling to the USA and Canada and throughout Western Europe and France for FREE. Wireless internet, also.
This one-bedroom apartment has the privacy of two bedrooms. Living room door closes and occupants of each room have access to toilet, bathroom, and kitchen without disturbing the other; important when you first arrive and jet-lag makes... for irregular sleeping hours. Extra long twin beds in bedroom and a very comfortable double-size, fold-down couch in living room (this is where my husband and I sleep). Bathroom has big soaking tub and both fixed and hand-held shower heads. There is a full sized washer/dryer in the kitchen.
Fifth floor apartment with elevator big enough for several people and their luggage! All-glass living room wall opens wide onto private balcony overlooking center gardens (please water my flowers!). NO city noise. Light and sunny. View of lovely Victorian buildings. Loads of closet space (rare in Paris) to keep apartment orderly.
Everything you need to cook your own gourmet meals. Go French and get fresh food at nearby Poncelet, one of the largest daily outdoor markets in Paris, or if you prefer a US-style grocery store (with peanut butter, cereal, etc.) Galleries Gourmand is also nearby.
Convenient location. Walk five minutes to Arc de Triomphe Metro station where metro lines #1, #2, #6, and the RER-A and C will whisk you quickly to anywhere in the city. Most of the important streets of Paris radiate out from the Arc de Triomphe. Also walk to the Air France bus which goes nonstop to the airport every 15 minutes. Excellent neighborhood, prestige apartment building located on upscale Ave des Ternes, close to lots of shops, bakeries, and restaurants.
My quiet, nicely furnished apartment has everything you need for a comfortable vacation including an extensive library of guide books and maps of the city, metro and bus system, etc. Please read the comments in my online guestbook!

There are not enough words to describe this rental or Nancy, amazing and wonderful does not do either one justice. Place is beyond words, Nancy is beyond helpful to the utmost, price is amazing, location, just wow! There was nothing here that was wrong or that we Didnt like. It had plenty of room for four adult women with plenty, I am talking at least 3 suitcases a piece.Baggage. location perfect. Very clean, spacious, quiet. Shops, stores, metro, sites, everything close by. My only complaint would be that Europe is expensive, but your on vacation, who cares! Lol. Nancy and staff are fantastic, easy to communicate with and Sooo nice. If I ever come to Paris again,I most definitely will stay here. I would recommend this rental to everyone I know. Thanks Nancy for a fabulous vacation.

The apartment made for a great home-base while spending ten days in Paris France. The rental process was easy, the staff members at Nancy's Vacation Rentals were great to work with and answered all our questions. On arrival we found the apartment had been correctly described. The apartment location was indeed convenient to several modes of transportation, local stores, and restaurants. We used the metro and bus transit systems extensively and the apartment is well situated for both. A taxi rank is also nearby where we could always catch a cab without having to wait.
The apartment is at the back of the building away from the street and overlooking a very quiet well kept garden, very little traffic noise for being in the heart of a large modern city even with the windows open.
The apartment is truly a home away from home. The kitchen is adequate to fix almost any meal, having a clothes washer and dryer are an absolute treat for those like us who travel light, and the building elevator is such a treat because when you get back after trudging through museums and galleries all day to be whisked up six levels at the push of a button is absolutely a luxury for your feet. The apartment is very adequate for two people with the living room and separate bedroom it would be roomy enough for four people who get along well.
There were cleaning supplies available for our use (we're kind of picky about cleanliness so we always find ourselves doing a quick run-through in any vacation rental), plenty of towels, clean bed sheets, and enough hangers in the closets for two people each with a five day supply of clothing and jackets.
The tub-shower is a bit difficult to use if you have mobility issues, which we do not unless you count being 60 as mobility impaired. The tub is a step up type installation and there is no grab bar to hold as you enter and exit so be aware of that limitation.
I would use this apartment again. I would recommend this apartment to a friend.

The moment we arrived until the moment we (sadly) left, my friends and I truly felt " at home." Starting at the entry way (extra key and umbrellas in the closet) to the bathroom with all the necessities right there, this apartment is truly furnished with everything. Absolutely everything was provided. Nothing was left out.
The apartment was conveniently located to metro, grocery, shops and great restaurants. It is a very safe and convenient location. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay in Paris and will request it again in my future travels.

We very much enjoyed our time in Nancy's Paris Flat. This was my fifth time in 6 years visiting Paris and wanted to live like a local for a week. The location of the apartment was perfect. The weather in Paris was absolutely the best and it didn't rain a drop the week we were there. All the attractions were easily accessible. The "des Ternes" neighborhood was very nice and quiet as well. Restaurants in the neighborhood were great. The apartment was very comfortable and had everyting we needed and more. We took Nancy up on some of her suggestions which was very helpful. Will refer it on to friends and hopefully use it again.

Our third stay in Nancy's Paris Flat was even better than the first two visits! The freshly decorated apartment with the new washer and dryer was a comfort and a joy. The location of Nancy's apartment, along with its cleaniness and ease of access, are attributes that place the apartment among the lodging gems of Paris. The apartment is perfect for a couple or couple with a child. Krystyna, the apartment manager, is superb. The metro is very close. And a superb restaurant, La Casa di Sergio, is almost next door. Pharmacies and grocery stores are also adjacent (as is street market). Particularly for those independent travelers who wish to explore at their leisure, av. des Ternes is quite the residence. We spent ten days living like les Parisiens!

Nancy knows how to cater to her guests: the apartment had everything we needed, and more. The location is great, a few blocks from the metro and with good bus service as well (the 43 bus stops right on Ternes, and the 92 bus to the Eiffel tower is a few blocks away). Because the flat in situated in the back of the building, it is very quiet and peaceful. We went a few times to the wonderful marché Poncelet and bought prepared platters of food for our lunch and dinners. We would also recommend the ristorante Sergio a few doors away, and the bistro Verre Bouteille also on the same block. Having all the travel guides available was also a bonus. This was the best way to spend a week in Paris, and staying in Nancy's flat made us feel like Parisians.

We really enjoyed the flat - the location couldn't have been better. We ate at the fondue/raclette restaurant one evening which was delicious. The grocery stores were so close, but best of all was the wonderful bakery just up the block for early morning treats.
The building was very secure as well as attractive. We loved having the elevator. The kitchen was well stocked, plenty of linens and the beds were very comfortable. There were 4 adults and we had plenty of room. Thanks for the free web and phone calls. That was a real treat.
I am a travel agent, so have stayed in many places and I would highly recommend your place to all.

My friends and I recently went to Paris for a girls getaway. We stayed at Nancy's apartment for a week. The apt was exactly how it was described in her ad. It was a cute one bedroom that accommodated three girls. It had all the luxuries and more than a hotel would have minus the room service. The free wi-fi and free calling we're a huge plus. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen had everything in it that we needed to make breakfast and a couple of dinners. There was a nice size balcony which we had our coffee on in the mornings. The apt also has a washer and dryer which cam in handy. The location was magnificent. Cafes, boutiques, restaurants, pharmacies, bars were located right out our door. Maria the housekeeper was super. The apt was extremely clean. Definetaly a two thumbs up. We would all stay there again and recommend it to others.

Location, info and directions were great.
Beds were clean ( the only reason we stayed)
The whole flat requires a top to bottom serious cleaning to include removal of appliances for deep down cleaning.
To perhaps save a flood - taps in both the bath and bathroom sink should be replaced. Windows and sliding doors also should be removed and the frames scrubbed. The wallpaper, in all rooms, is peeling off the walls.
Please refer to the pictures we have provided. Nancy mentioned she was going to Paris in November - really I would not wait that long. All in all a very poor experience. Read more
Response from Nancy's Vacation Rentals - 10/26/2012
This person was correct that the flat needed a good top to bottom deep cleaning and we have done that. My cleaning lady moved away but found me a replacement before she left. Apparently, her replacement, Maria, was not doing a thorough enough job so we have put her through an intensive one-on-one training program, going over every inch of the apartment with her so she understands our expectations. The flat is once again sparkling clean. We also removed the washer-dryer combo machine in the bathroom and put a full-sized washer and dryer in the kitchen. We have replaced the entire sink in the bathroom. The sliding glass door out to the balcony needed new wheels to glide smoothly so those have been replaced as well. There was a very tiny spot (two inches) in the bedroom where the wall paper was loose and apparently this man tore it off and it 's gone so now we can't glue it back and will have to replace all the wall paper this winter. He makes it sound like it's much worse than it is "wall paper in all rooms..." There is only wall paper in the bedroom and livingroom (the kitchen, bathroom, WC, hallway and entry have no wallpaper) and we could not find anything wrong with the livingroom. We have also made some additional changes with new lighting, bedspreads, linens, pillows, etc. About $5000 worth of work. As you can see, the next guests that came rated it 5 stars so all is well now and I look forward to having you as my guest. Nancy

The apartment was in a great location - an easy and convenient walk to Concord Lafayette for groceries and shopping, close to several really nice restaurants! Taxi's were readily available and it was only a short walk to the Metro. I loved having access to a washer dryer (which I used once for essential jeans and tee shirts, since the weather was much colder and wetter than I remembered for the end of april. But that's Paris for you - you just never know!) We really appreciated the WiFi and the free calls to the us to check in with family and work. The process for getting access (and the availability to check in in the early morning after arrival) and checking out worked very well.
It's not chock full of Paris ambiance, but had a lot of amenities and convenience to make up for it. We did not lack for anything an it served as a great hub for just enjoying time in Paris and coming "home" to unwind and rest til the next day to do it all over again.
Would definitely recommend to a friend who is looking for the same things I was - affordability, location, convenience, cleanliness. It was great for two people.

The flat was accurately described and portrayed on Vrbo. It is located in a fabulous and safe location with easy access to the metro and within walking distance to many great shops, outdoor markets, and bistros. Prior to our arrival in France, Nancy's staff provided us with an excellent welcome guide that included detailed instructions on how to find the flat including transportation options to/from the airport. Transportation was very easy...we took the air France bus from De Gaulle airport...easy walk to the apt with accurate directions. Building was easy to find and very safe and secure. Flat was very functional and clean. Click clack sofa bed very comfortable for 2 people. Internet access was appreciated as we planned our daily trips each day. Universal adapter and locked safe provided. Many guide books provided in the apt including notes on bistros and places to eat by previous renters. Nancy has provided lots of helpful hints and there is info about all electronics in the apt. We exchanged USD and travellers checks for Euros at the location Nancy recommended and this was safe and convenient. Best part of Paris was pretending like we lived there and just sitting on a bench and people watching in the warm sun while eating gelato!

Establishing the reservation was very easy and the Nancy's team was in constant contact with information. The apartment is very functional, we enjoyed being able to have breakfast 'at home' and then venture with easy access to the Metro. Great neighborhood: safe, friendly, many markets, and restaurants nearby. Though not a major issue, refrigerator and bathroom sink need attention as well refurbishing some of the bedcovers. We have spent a great deal of time in Paris, were married there and had a great experience. Would we return to this apartment ? Absolutely we are already thinking of when we could come back again. This is a excellent find and we truly enjoyed our stay.

When we arived I went into the kitchen and found the sink to be lift dirty it looked like it was stained, but it found some soft scrub a cleaned in in about 2 minites. The filter with old coffey in it was still in the coffey pot. the overal cleanliness was not what I expected. The rooms were small and furnished like a college dorm. Only the washer worked on washer/dryer combo. Paris was nice.

Everything was perfect - except my own stupid mistake of not locking the house key in the box provided outside the apt door and somehow loosing it during the day! It meant many calls to Nancy, who tried valiantly to locate someone to let us in - but they were all out of town that night! We ended up at a local hotel - and then discovered that someone had left a key in the box for us at 0700...'Can't thank everyone enough for their assistance - and 'can't emphasize enough about leaving the key in the box!!! Otherwise, the apt, location, local restaurants, ease of travel back to CDG, metro stops - all was as advertised, and I would happily return for my next visit to Paris!

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Paris and the apartment was in a great location. There are numerous keypad controls required - to get into the apartment complex, the elevator and the door to the hotel - we felt completely safe and secure.
The instructions were well written, clear and easy to follow. The apartment is small by american standards but large by European standards - we had two adults and two children and we were quite comfortable.
The booking/reservation process was easy and they were easy to deal with...everything was as agreed and there were no unpleasant surprises.

The apartment is located in a very convenient location withing walking distance of 3 metro stops, and the L'Arc de Triomphe. The corner grocery store was a bonus, just around the corner! My "petit amie" (boyfriend...its so much sexier in French) and I stayed for a full week at Nancy's Parisian apartment and that was the best decision we've ever made insofar as our international travels together - and there have been several trips now, our second to Paris. The apartment is cozy, comfortable and has everything you can possibly need. And, I loved all the wonderful maps and reference books (Rick Steve's Paris 2010 is a blast) that helped us with some of our sightseeing decisions.
The location is wonderful. When you walk out of the door onto avenue des Ternes, you step right into Parisian culture. The apartment's location is away from the more 'touristy' streets allowing us to experience Paris as Parisians do. The market on Rue de Poncelet spoiled us with its abundant produce, fresh fish, cheese shops, wine shops, bakeries, charcuterie, and the market on the corner with its cooked meats and vegetables. We literally ate dinner out only twice the seven nights we were there.
I contacted her housekeeper a couple of times with questions and she either called me right away or emailed me within a few hours. She's delightful and so helpful with everything.
I look forward to my next visit to Paris and staying in this wonderful apartment. It cannot come soon enough for me.

Nancy's Paris apartment was just what we were looking for in a vacation. Nancy and her staff were wonderful and very accommodating. The apartment location was perfect. We were able to walk to several Metro stations, a wonderful bakery, butcher, grocery store and open market. We enjoyed just experiencing life in Paris. The Italian restaurant 2 doors from the apartment was the best Italian food we had ever eaten and we live 50 miles from NYC so we have had our share of Italian food. The café across from the apartment was also very good and one of the wait staff spoke English and recommended a terrific lunch.
The apartment has everything you could need. We usually ate in at least 1 meal a day and the kitchen had all we needed. Since our stay was for 12 days the washer/dryer was very handy especially with the weight limitations on your luggage.
We primarily walked and used the Metro but there was a taxi stand not too far from the apartment. The air France bus was also very handy. It is about a 10 minute walk to the apartment so we used that from and to the airport.
One tip in regards to the scam artists: if someone approached you and claims to have found a ring (looks like gold but is brass) and wants to give it to you be aware. They will initially walk away but then come back to ask for money. If approached, just say no and walk away. We were approached many times in the tourist areas. We were approached by middle aged men, young girls and even a couple. Speaking with several other tourists we met in our travels they had experienced the same thing. Nothing that should keep you from visiting Paris but something to be aware of. We did not have any issue with pickpockets as many of the books warned of, but we did use money belts and the Safe that Nancy provides is a life saver

It was in a great location, about 2 blocks from the arc De Triumphe, and there are tons of shops and restaurants all around it. We ate at a lovely Brasserrie around the corner and the food was great. Clean, organized, and extremely comfortable. Nancy's apartment in Paris was a great place to stay on our first visit to Paris. The apartment had enough space for our family of four and it was very modern. Its excellent location allowed us to easily walk to different landmarks throughout the city and provided a good place to rest and relax after a tiring day.
The kitchen was extremely helpful. It had a fridge to store food from the grocery store and plates, utensils, and other kitchen appliances. We could make coffee in the morning and we could have a full meal without having to worry about buying plates and utensils from the store.
Our favorite part was the neighborhood. It was safe and quiet and the people in the building were very friendly. There was a nice balcony overlooking a garden and you could barely hear any noise from the street. There was honestly nothing that we didn't like and this apartment and it really just made our trip more memorable and enjoyable. We highly recommend this apartment as a place to stay when visiting Paris.

Our vacation in Paris began with a stay in Nancy's apartment - what a great way to begin! Nancy had, indeed, thought of everything. From the in-home washing machine, to the bookshelves lined with guides of Paris, to the click-clack bed in the living room, to the adorable, truly-Parisian kitchen, we couldn't have asked for anything more. (We did have a little trouble figuring out the lock box when we first arrived, but once mastered, it was no problem.) The other tenants in the building couldn't have been nicer - they always went out of their way to say, "Bonjour!" or "Bonsoir!". The location is fantastic - you look onto a quiet garden courtyard (perfect after a hectic day of sightseeing), it's only a few blocks from the Metro, and there were 2 absolutely wonderful restaurants nearby. A few doors down at a nice Italian restaurant my husband had the best spaghetti of his life and I had the best lasagna of my life. Right across the street was a steakhouse which served scrumptious French onion soup and steak, of course. I hope we are able to return to Paris some day and, if we do, we'll definitely stay at Nancy's!
