SydneyFantastic Paris experience
Left on 05/06/2013 for a stay in April 2013
We and our 10 year old son stayed in this apartment in april. We had not stayed in apartments before and this as our first experience ensured we will do this again. For us the location was fantastic, easy access to great food, a fresh market, a little park, the Metro. The other neighbours in the apartment complex were courteous and our greeter Mats was very helpful with tips on the area and prompt to reply to my text when I had a question. We had everything we needed and started to feel like locals in the end.

SydneyQuiet haven in the Marais
Left on 11/05/2012 for a stay in October 2012
My husband and I stayed in Picardie for a week in mid October and loved it. The apartment was stylish, quiet, clean and comfortable and had everything that we needed. Shelley was very gracious about her long wait when our train was delayed and gave us a great introduction to the apartment. We loved the location - every day we headed in a different direction and found a new cluster of bars, restaurants and patisseries.
Our favourite street was rue Vieille de Temple and the restaurant Robert et Louise at number 64.
We had friends visit for 2 nights and they were very comfortable on the sofa bed although I would not recommend the apartment for 4 for an extended time.
Had a great time - we'd go back to this apartment in a heartbeat. -

Left on 10/20/2012 for a stay in October 2012
We stayed in the Picardie for 10 days in early October and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The flat has everything you need and a superb l'haute Marais location close to L'Enfant Rouge market, Temple metro stop and many good cafes, art galleries and small boutiques. Wifi is great, phone to the us is free and the bed and pillows are to die for.

Left on 07/24/2012 for a stay in July 2012
We were over an hour late arriving for our check in and the agent who was meeting us took it perfectly in stride, he was very nice, gave us a good rundown on the apartment, a few suggestions for the area and told us to call if we needed anything at all.
The apartment itself is very nice. Overlooking a cute courtyard, has a nice (though small) kitchen, a large bathroom with a generous bathtub, a very comfy bed and has obviously been recently updated.
Nearby are many great restaurants (try the Bistrot du Temple, 3 doors down!), shops, a nice park, and a metro station with many lines going through it for easy access to the rest of the city.
One night the neighbors were having a gathering in the courtyard and stopped us as we were coming in for some snacks, wine and conversation, which was really cool. -

Left on 07/20/2012 for a stay in June 2012
We had a great time and overall our stay in Picardie was Fine and we look forward to going again in the near future... The apartment is cozy and very clean and tastefully furnished...We have the following comments to share:/
- whilst we were there too much renovation and construction work in the area which causes to much noise some times
- the water was cut off on one day and we were not notified and consequently we were not prepared.
- be careful with the chairs of the dining room... Fragile... We were concerned that thy would bent if you sit on them.
overall we had a lovely time in Paris and Picardie...:-) -

The service provided was excellent, including the very valuable guide put together by the rental agent. The kitchen is very well equiped and had many spices etc, making it the best kitchen I've seen in rental apartments in Paris so far. And I agree with other renters that the location is great, with many subway stops nearby as well as an interesting street scene along de Bretagne.
Although the building is under renovation, and one night the floors in the flat above us were being worked on until almost midnight, I would say the courtyard setting makes this a very quiet apartment by Paris standards.
Here are a couple of complaints. The beds were ok; better mattresses would be nice, especially on the sofa bed which won't be comfortable for a heavy person. The bathroom is also very nice by Paris standard (you barely flood the room when you shower!) but if you are renting in order to have a tub, as we did, be warned that you will have to heat water on the stove to get a decent fill as the hot water tank is only half sized. The WC is in a separate room, with a frosted glass door, so anyone sleeping on the sofa is awakened by the light at night. Lastly, the apartment is not "tall", only 7 feet high (220cm), so a tall person might feel a bit cramped.
I had a better apartment on Ile St Louis last time in Paris, but at twice the price! So this is a good deal, with no real black marks against it. -

Left on 04/12/2012 for a stay in March 2012
My husband and I along with our 12 yr old duaghter recently stayed at the Picardie. The apaprtment was terrific- just as pictured. Plenty of space and all the amenties we needed. I was particualry impressed with the comfortable furniture including the bed. We have been to Paris several times for business/pleasure and this was the first time we stayed in an aprtment. I will never again stay in a hotel over a place like this for the same money! The area near the apartment has wonderful shopping and restaurants. Our best meals were in Marais! We travel extensively and this was absoluutely the best rental company we have worked with (pleasant, acomodating, on time etc.) Highly recommended.

Left on 02/09/2012 for a stay in January 2012
We have stayed in the 3rd many times so we knew the area well, dozens of restaurants at our doorstep and the lively Rue de Bretagne. The apartment was quite spacious, neat with a generous newly renovated bathroom, substantial living space, and quietly positioned at the back of the courtyard. Walk up one flight of stairs although the apartment next door is an office so there was a bit of foot traffic on the stairs during the day. Galley kitchen well appointed. The ceiling hangs a little low but that is typical of older buildings. Shelley who greeted us was incredibly helpful and thorough. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our time at Rue du Picardie, and had we not bought our own Paris apartment on this trip, we would gladly stay again!

Left on 10/27/2011 for a stay in September 2011
My husband and I and our two teenage girls stayed at the beautiful Picardie apartments. The apartment was very comfortable and the beds were really lovely - even the sofa bed and there was adequate room. The kitchen was well set up - the only thing being that we couldn't find the cutlery at first( it was in a drawer in the dining table! Just up the road (30M) from L'Enfants rouge - the markets, great Boulangerie's, Fromagerie's, Charcuetrie's and loads of restaurants at our doorstep, and place DE Voges about 5 Mins walk. wE had a great stay and would stay there again! Thank you

Hanahan, South CarolinaCharming and convenient!
Left on 09/17/2011 for a stay in August 2011
My husband and I absolutely loved this place. When we arrived we opened the windows. Along with the breeze came the scent of the window box flowers and the sound of cello music! There are 3 metro stations conveniently located nearby and a great pizzeria across the street.
Everything in the apartment worked well. We used everything...dishwasher, clothes washer, iron, coffee pot (stove pot, read the instructions if you haven't used one), TV, internet and microwave. It was clean and there were plenty of supplies and towels.
The bed was comfortable but a little small (full size) so if you are used to a king size, be prepared.
This is a great choice for a couple. There is a hideaway couch that would work for one or two children.
Have fun! -

We were a family of four - 2 x adults & 2 kids. Stayed 4 nights. Whilst only 1 bedroom - there was plenty of room. Kids slept on sofa bed together, there is also chaise lounge if small enough. Able to keep sofa bed out all the time, and still had other sitting areas. Separate dining table and good, modern kitchen. Bathroom newly renovated and clean. Whole flat well presented. Felt cool inside even though very hot day in Paris. Location was about 7-10 min walk to Republic metro, Temple approx 5-7 mins walk. In a non tourist neighbourhood, with some good bars & restaurants within 3 mins walk. Some just outside the door. Not in heart of the Marais, but would stay again. Nice park for kids to play about 2 mins walk away.

Minneapolis, MinnesotaA gem in a vibrant neighborhood!
Left on 08/10/2011 for a stay in July 2011
If you are looking for a clean, comfortable, spacious apartment to rent in a vibrant part of 3 arondissement, then stay here.
We were first greeted by the manager of the apartment who was not only knowledgeable about all the details of the apartment (including how to turn on dishwasher, oven, washer), but spent extra time making certain we understood. In fact we were late in meeting her because our flight was delayed but she still gave us a wonderful tour.
All the living spaces were clean, spacious, and well updated. It is located at the top of a very short flight of stairs, but this was not an issue for us.
The apartment itself is located in a courtyard with other flats and entrance to the courtyard was through a security door. Very quiet at night and although no air conditioning, we never felt uncomfortable as we opened the windows.
Location: We were about 100 feet from a very nice bar and restaurant and 50 feet from a wonderfully charming Thai restaurant that served some delicious meals.
For groceries, a short 3 minute walk led to a supermarket. A bank was also around the corner. A large Metro Stop was about a 5 minute walk.
Overall the apartment was very nice and the managing company was very professional.
Would recommend this to family and friends. -

Left on 08/09/2011 for a stay in July 2011
Overall, a lovely apartment, with a particularly spacious living/dining area for a one bedroom. Our only 'complaint', and it is not much of one, is that the weather was nice enough to have the windows open, but on a couple of nights, people in the courtyard were socializing loudly in the wee hours of the morning. A kindly 'shhh' was enough to quiet them, though. Similarly, smoke wafted in from those smoking in the courtyard, but closing the windows made it a non-issue. We were very happy with this apartment, in general, and would rent it again.

Minneapolis, MNA nice place to stay in the Marais.
Left on 06/27/2011 for a stay in June 2011
The apartment is roomy and comfortable with a fully functional kitchen. There was no traffic noise but our sleep was disturbed one night by partying neighbors. We like the area; the walk to the Seine is comfortable if a tad on the long side. Republique Metro is close. We would definitely stay there again.

Toronto, Canadabest apartment ever
Left on 06/27/2011 for a stay in June 2011
Loved the apartment. With its quiet ambience (above an enclosed courtyard) and its location in the heart of the newly trendy north Marais, this elegantly furnished first-storey walk-up is blocks from such landmark attractions as Marche des Enfants Rouge and Place des Voges, as well as shops and grocery stores and the nearby Republique Metro station, which links to all routes and stations across Paris.
Arguably the hippest cafe in all of Paris, Cafe Charlot, is also in the 'hood, at 38 rue de Bretagne. If you don't mind sitting cheek by jowl with scenesters and self-styled boulevardiers, the Charlot is a must-visit for its famous (and delicious) hamburgers. Eat one in the local tradition, with a knife and fork!
The Picardie (located one floor up from ground level via a winding staircase), was a welcome retreat at the end of our long Paris days. With its beamed ceilings, comfortable bed and modernly fixtured bathroom, we felt immediately at home. The kitchen, too, is kitted out with all mod cons, including dishwasher, mini-fridge and freezer and an easy-to-operate 'induction cooktop' that had our coffee to the boil each morning in two minutes flat! In all respects, perfect, including Shelley's walk-through on our arrival. Before we'd even unpacked, she'd made us feel completely at home. We stayed six nights but plan to return for a longer stay on our next visit.

Left on 06/02/2011 for a stay in May 2011
Great service from the rental company. Met at the apt. by Shelly and shown how everything works. Shelley helped us set up internet. Advised us to get the blue Paris map first off -- that was great advice. Useful information binder left at the house. And Shelly available by internet and telephone throughout our stay.
Nearby Rue Bretonne is full of cafes, restaurants, deli's, boulangies, a market, even a biologique store-- Bio Mio. Very central location yet not quite so crazy or busy as tourist areas closer to the Seine. You get a residential slice of Paris life on Rue Picardie. Lots of pretty narrow streets, close to museums and several metro stops and velib rental bicycles.
We missed having towels changed. Would have liked some maid service once or twice over the 12 days. There is a washing machine but no dryer. Missed having a conventional coffee maker. But these are quibbles. Overall, loved the whole experience. -
