Melbourne, AustraliaExcellent location and apartment had everything
Left on 08/20/2012 for a stay in July 2012
We stayed in the Madeleine -Boissy d'Anglas I apartment in early July '12. We stayed for 8 nights. There were 4 of us (my husband and I and 2 teens). We all enjoyed the accommodation and would recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in Paris. It was on the first floor and even though there was an elevator, we didn’t see anyone use it.
Firstly the apartment had everything you'd want. It was very clean and there were two decent sized bedrooms; there was adequate wardrobe / cupboard space so that you could feel at home. The bedding was comfortable and there was extra bedding should you require it. The bathroom was clean and modern and shower was great (with great pressure and nice and hot) - which is important.
The kitchen had all you would expect, including a dishwasher, microwave etc. The appliances were all modern and clean. The refrigerator was nice and big. Being in Paris we ate out most of the time (why wouldn't you!), but we did cook in the kitchen twice.
There was a combined washer / dryer and helpful instructions on how to use.
My teenage children definitely loved the Wi-Fi and the decent TV with access to lots of stations including a few English speaking stations which we appreciated. There was a great arrangement which meant that our phone calls to lots of places (including France and australia where we're from ... and I think the U.S. from memory) was free. We felt very connected to the world as a result.
Only negatives: I didn’t like having a white couch in the apartment. I was worried that someone would spill something on it! It didn’t happen but it still gave me some concern while we were there. Also ... if you opened the windows facing the street, it got very noisy with the morning peak hour traffic on the Boulevard at the end of the street. The windows were double glazed so as long as you kept them closed when you went to bed, you didn’t hear anything. There was a fan supplied in case it got warm. We kept the windows open during the day and in the evenings while we were in the apartment and it wasn't noisy ... just first thing in the mornings. It wasn’t really a problem but thought I’d mention it to be balanced.
The apartment is in a great location with quite a few very nice restaurants downstairs (and we went to quite a few) and a great gourmet food / lunch shop directly downstairs (Trend Black) and then next to that a fantastic bakery (boulangerie / patisserie /bar) for baguettes / croissants and yummy pastries / coffee etc. The bakery was very popular with the office crowd that seemed to frequent it (at lunch times) and we sat at the bar one afternoon to enjoy the atmosphere. It opened early and closed by around 5pm~ish.
The apartment is in arrondissement 8 and was close to all the fashion houses, Hermes, Givenchy, YSL etc. There were lots of fashionable people around. It was usually pretty quiet in the evenings (but busy from 9-5) with a refined clientele. It was a great location to ‘people watch’!
There was a metro station (Madeleine) quite close by, the Place de la Concorde was just down the road. There was a small supermarket that everything we needed about 1 1/2 blocks away. The bank was a few doors down; the post office was a block away. The department stores were quite close too. Heaps of good restaurants that we will have to try when we go back next time!
It is really important that I tell anyone who reads this how great Welcome2France were to deal with. The website to confirm all booking information was easy to use and provided an excellent summary of what to expect to find in the unit and details of the local area so that we could read it and absorb the information before we ventured to Paris.
When we arrived, Alicia met us at the door and helped us with our luggage. There was no issue with us arriving early (at around 10am). She showed us everything in the unit, gave us advice on where most of the important things were (i.e. supermarket, bank, post office, how the Wi-Fi, TV, washer/dryer worked ... and some restaurant recommendations. We had a few questions about the metro and she was very happy to assist. While we were there we didn't need to contact her, other than to advise the time we'd be leaving so she could pick up the key but we know she would have been happy to help if we needed. I was very impressed that after handing over the key when we were leaving, Alicia was happy to wait with us until our taxi came ... just in case there were any problems.
All in all, the apartment was clean and totally as it was represented (which is always a relief). Welcome2France is a company I would happily recommend and we are sure to be in contact with them when we next visit Paris; and only hope it's not too long to wait until we do! Loved It! -

Left on 08/17/2012 for a stay in May 2012
My husband, his parents and I stayed here during the spring and were delighted to be welcomed with friendly service and a clean, comfortable apartment. The central city location meant we could walk almost everywhere, whilst also being close to several Metro stations.
Situated on the first floor meant we had a lovely outlook onto the street below - it was also extremely secure with two entry points requiring pin codes. The apartment itself accommodated the four of us very comfortably for the week with chic furniture and modern amenities. The free wifi was particularly useful, as was the welcome folder which contained all relevant information we needed to know about the apartment as well as local transport and dining options, plus much more.
We certainly felt very much at home for the duration of our stay, and would definitely like to stay there again. -

Welcome2France was a treat to deal with (after having Destination CDG cancel our 6mth advance booking, 2 weeks before our arrival, we thought we were doomed). Welcome2France happen to have this Madeleine Boissy apartment available. They were efficient and organized. Answered all of our questions and concerns and set-up transportation to meet us at the Paris Nord train, which is such a crazy place, so that is a welcome service. They also supply a full booklet with instructions on everything in the apartment, info on the area and even some key French translation to help you out.
The apartment is as it looks in the pictures. It is spacious enough for 4 comfortably, has all the kitchen essentials you need and the furnishings and beds are comfortable. The area is beautiful but quite busy and noisy during the night (lots of motorcycles and pedestrians). We had a couple minor housekeeping issues (ie beds weren't separated into 2 twins as requested, wi-fi didn't connect at first), but these were easily fixed by the gal that met us when we arrived, who was helpful and lovely with lots of advise for getting around Paris. I would definitely book with Welcome2France again. -

My husband and I went to Paris to celebrate our tenth anniversary. We couldn't have picked a better-suited apartment! It is an elegant, romantic, beautiful place with easy access to all of Paris! It is a walking distance from most major Parisian attractions, including the Champs Elysee, Concorde, Arc de Triomphe, Place de la Madelaine, etc... There is free Wi-Fi and free international calls to the USa. We loved our stay and plan to go back there soon.

Virginia Beach, VirginiaNice apartment although upsetting!
Left on 11/23/2011 for a stay in September 2011
This was a very nice apartment. Clean, bright and comfortable. No problems with this apartment (as long as you don't want a/C), which it doesn't have. There is a elevator--which is nice to have with a month's worth of luggage for a month's stay in France.
Our problems were with shocking news on the very day of leaving the States. On the morning we were leaving, we got an e-mail from Welcome 2 France, stating that our "choice" apartment, which was carefully selected 11 months before and fully paid for, was not available due to a mix-up with the owner. Pretty upsetting to get this type of e-mail on the morning of leaving for Paris.
To make things worse, the first apartment was terrible, smelled like cigarette smoke, very cluttered. Welcome 2 France did move us later in the day to this above apartment (only problem---it wasn't available for our entire week---only 5 days). We had to move a 3rd time to finish our stay.
While the people at Welcome 2 France tried to be nice, this was a very unsuccessful rental arrangement; we had even checked 3 days before our departure on the availability of our choice apartment upon our arrival, and been told, it was available for early checkin.
On any further trips, we would not use Welcome 2 France due to a lack of trust that the apartment you select and pay for, might not be there for you when you arrive in Paris. Pretty upsetting situation to say the least, because on that kind of late notice, (also Fashion Week coming up), no apartments were available in the district we had chosen to be, nothing as nice as what we had selected (A/C), or was available for our entire week stay. We moved 3 times in one week! -

Perth, AustraliaFabulous
Left on 09/02/2011 for a stay in August 2011
Staying at Madeleine Boissy d'Anglas in Paris was fabulous. It is a stone's throw away from the heart of Paris and a comfortable stroll to many of the major attractions. For those things beyond a comfortable stroll you have a taxi rank less than 100m away and a choice of 2 metro stations. This apartment is all about location, location, location in a clean, safe feeling part of town. The apartment was exactly as all the photos show which was great! We would definitely stay here again without hesitation if we ever return to Paris. The only advice is that Paris is a little noisy with all the traffic as it wakes up so if you are a light sleeper and want a good sleep in pack a pair of ear plugs.

Left on 08/09/2011 for a stay in July 2011
Hi, Our stay in Paris was that much better due to having 'Welcome 2 France' coordinate and provide everything that was required. The internet page which instructs you very clearly on what to do prior and post arrival was very informative and helped with the booking process. The apartment was exactly as advertised (i.e. no surprises) and the location of the apartment could not have been better. We received a welcome pack which greeted us in our apartment and this also was very helpful and informative. If I return back to Paris, I would definitely re-book through 'Welcome 2 France' and I urge travellers to do the same. Thank you Joseph

The apartment could not have been in a better location, 2 blocks from Place de Concorde, 2 blocks from La Madeliene, Metro stations easily accessible, beautiful neighborhood. The apartment was exactly as shown on the website, comfortable and inviting.
On the corner there is a fantastic bakery and a few doors down there's a fantastic Chocolatier for chocolate lovers. Several cafes are along the street as well.
I will return to Paris and this apratment will be my choice again.
Thank you Welcome2France for an enjoyable and memorable vacation. -

Jacksonville, FLThe most convenient and beautiful location in Paris
Left on 03/28/2011 for a stay in March 2011
If you want to have the best vacation in Paris, this place will definitely realize it for you. When we arrived to Paris, from U.S., my wife and I were exhausted. As soon as we entered this apartment, we knew we had made a good choice. The place was very clean, modern, new and spacious enough for another couple. But nothing could beat its perfect location. we were 1-2 minutes away from Metro, Train station, Avis car rental, and a small grocery store. It is located in the heart of Paris, in one of the most prestigious and safest area: "8eme ". We were able to walk to Champs Elysee, Printemps, Lafayette, Concorde, and the best clothing and chocolate stores.
We had one of the best vacation of our life, and we can't wait to go back and stay at the same location. Actually, we have already told lot of our close friends about this place. -

We had a wonderful time. Everything we wished for to do was just around the corner from us in a short walking distance to the house. Access to Public Transportation was great whenever we wanted to use it. At night, it was so quiet and relaxing, that you felt you have arrived at your distant resort destination.
