lovely apartment close to everything. nice, secure and quiet bedrooms. only downfall is lack of internet which is a must these days. would prefer internet than television. if it had internet would stay there again otherwise would look for a different accomodation that is connected.

Our recent stay of 5 days in Paris found this apartment located right near Pont Neuf perfectly situated - sights, restaurants, shopping, metro are all within a few minutes walk. The street is busy but this first floor apartment is away from noise although the neighbours in the adjoining section of the apartment could easily be heard late at night. We loved the feeling the apartment gave as it is really in the heart of Parisian life and it catered for two couples. The sofa bed was exceptionally comfortable and although is in the living space it is designed for instant set-up and put away - we liked it so much we took the name of the brand to get one for home. The support from the Paris team at Hallidis was fantastic even assisting with luggage (there is an elevator) and helping us organise a maxi taxi to get to the airport. Our experience in this apartment left us wanting to return even though most of our days in Paris were overcast and raining!

Left on 10/14/2012 for a stay in September 2012
Although we were running a little late Guiseppe was back to meet us and show us through the apartment. A little too much emphasis was put on the apartment's "fragility" and the absence of soap in the bathrooms, dishwashing detergent and toilet paper rations were detractions (the Halldis rep was late for check-out so we met the cleaner, he had soap etc to replenish the apartment so I wonder whether it had been professionally cleaned before our arrival). A trip to the local supermarket sorted these necessities and we were able to begin our enjoyment of this gorgeous city. The beds were comfy and the apartment soundproofed from the busy street. All the major attractions are either within walking distance or a short metro trip. The door to the bathroom and wardrobe door in the bedroom need attention as it was very hard to get in and out of the bathroom and we gave up trying to use the bedroom wardrobe. We didn't let these things spoil our stay and we had a great time.

Left on 09/29/2012 for a stay in September 2012
This apartment was beautifully styled and well located. Check in and check out were smooth and the agents were very helpful. This apartment would be suitable for 3 people not 5, we were a family of 5 and there was insufficient space. The small living area had a very small kitchen (too small to be able to cook anything, and no toaster) with a sofa bed and a tiny table for 3. The bathrooms were well appointed, though one shower did not drain well and flooded onto the bathroom floor. The second bedroom does not have a bed, it has a chaise lounge which can be used as a bed, however, it is very uncomfortable. The apartment is very secure and quiet.

The place is very nice and situated on excellent location. Shops, restaurants, supermarket, all kind of transportation, park, tourist attraction, everything is in walking distance with a nice view. As we're asian with tiny body, the room and facilities size is fine for us. This place is perfect!!

Left on 09/06/2012 for a stay in August 2012
Apt is in a very convenient location near to metro station and also walking distance to Lourve and Notre Dame Cathedral. Security is good as we have to open 4 doors before entering the apt.
The toilet near the living room is extremely small and the drainage is poor at the shower area. We encountered 2 days of heat wave at 37 degrees celcius during our stay in Paris and it was very uncomfy as no fans were provided in the apt. Understand that aircon is not common in Paris apts so would be good to have fans available.Response from Halldis - 09/14/2012

Dear Pei Sin,
we’re sorry that you did not feel comfortable during your stay because of the hot weather. Those days Paris reached record high temperatures and most apartments in the city don’t have air conditioning. It was a pity that you didn’t inform us during your stay, or we would have promptly provided you with a fan.
We thank you for your comments and we sincerely hope to host you again in the future.
Best regards,
Cecilia

Nevada City, CAWonderful location and quiet apartment
Left on 07/20/2012 for a stay in July 2012
Our family of five stayed in this lovely apartment. It is perfectly situated close to Pont Neuf, so many of Paris' museums and attractions are within walking distance. The apartment is in an interesting building and while the building is on a very busy street, the apartment itself is set back and very quiet. I would certainly recommend the apartment for a couple or small family, but it was a bit tight for 2 adults and 3 children.

San Jose, California, USAAwesome Location!
Left on 07/05/2012 for a stay in June 2012
This apartment is quirky, but fun and perfectly located! We were right by the tube, and within walking of most sites! The beds were comfy, except the pull out couch, which he apologized upon our arrival, that it had been broken (he has promised to refund us for the inconvenience, however we have not received our refund or deposit yet...it's been 3 weeks) Everything was clean, beautiful courtyard. The floor in front of the bathroom door is warped and nearly impossible to open without muscles and a loud pull. But, these two problems were not enough to deter us from throughly enjoying our trip. The wifi worked, getting the keys and leaving all great! Thank you so much for a great start to our European vacation!!!

Left on 06/27/2012 for a stay in June 2012
Great location, right next to Ile de la Cite. Despite the fact the entrance is on a busy street, the apartment is located deep inside the building, facing the inner courtyard. It is absolutely quiet. Apartment was as described by the pictures and text. We had 2 adults and our 2 children (ages 11, 14) and apartment worked well. Tv, internet worked well. Halldis representative was great, easily accessible, prompt in meeting us. Apartment is reasonably furnished. Halldis rep was also very fair, as the prior renter accidentally broke a piece of furniture and Halldis discounted the price appropriately.

Left on 05/22/2012 for a stay in May 2012
service from halldis has been good. invoices and emails all dealt with promptly. check in and out went smoothly, but expensive weekend charges. it was useful to have two sets of keys.
we are a couple with two young boys and the apartment was perfect for us. the main bedroom with en suite was comfortable and quiet. both toilets and showers were very clean and nice decor. plenty of towels. the boys' room was small and a thicker curtain might have helped the baby to fall asleep ore quickly, but it was fine. kitchen/living room area very pleasant and well equipped. lovely view over the internal courtyard garden with birds and bats at night. we could sometimes hear the people in the apartment next door and smell cigarette smoke, but not enough to be a nuisance. the apartment is very secure which was important to us - 4 locked doors to get through! not much natural light in the other rooms, but for the location and price you can't expect that - and the lighting was very good.
location was superb. right on the river seine, at pont neuf, 5 mins from notre dame, and just around the corner from some of the loveliest streets in 6eme (rue saint andre des artes, boulevard saint germain) etc.
favourite thing - location and bathrooms
least favourite thing - wrought iron table and chairs were a bit of a hazard with a 11 month old (danger to eyes) and the artwork was not ideal for children (mostly naked women in disturbing poses, and animals too!)
Overall, a great place to stay, esp for a couple or young family. Highly recommend. -

Left on 05/08/2012 for a stay in April 2012
Here are the positives:
The apt is located in a very nice safe area. It is very close to Pont-neuf bridge and 2 metro stations . There are numerous restaurants close by along with latin quarter, sainte-michelle and notre-dame within walking distance. Bathrooms were nice and hot water was plenty.
Here are the negatives:
Some of the painting are gross and not suitable for children. Rooms were dusty. Double sofa bed was broken. kitchen corner is very small. Daybed must be closed in order to use the kitchenette since the room is small.
Overall, it is ideal for 2 adults and 2 kids. It becomes tight for 5 since we were 4 adults and a teenager

MelbourneThe location was perfect, building wonderful, apartment adequate
Left on 04/24/2012 for a stay in April 2012
I was determined to stay in my preferred part of Paris on the Left Bank so this apartment was perfectly located for us within easy walking distance of all the sights. You could not get a better location. It was also situated in a beautiful and historic building. We were three adults, 1 couple and 1 single and having 2 bathrooms was a real bonus. Also the booking process was easy and straightforward online and Marco was there to meet us as arranged so the service was efficient. The apartment was much smaller than it appeared in the ads but as we planned to be out most of the time it didn't bother us too much, however it was barely adequately furnished; no proper bedside tables in bedrooms, not enough room to place 2 suitcases in bedroom to unpack and a minute kitchen. It was not as clean as it should have been, the stovetop was grubby, as were the cups. My biggest complaint however was that a tradesman was in the apartment for more than 3 hours on 2 separate days with tools spread everywhere and the smell of paint throughout. I had already rung Marco to ask for him not to come after his first visit but he still turned up. This apartment was expensive and we were not happy about this especially as we were only there for 4 nights and 3 full days and 2 of the days we had to endure this.

Dear Nicky,
we’re happy to hear that you you enjoyed your stay. We’re sorry for the inconvenience of the painters, we understood your complaint: as Raffaella promised you, for this reason we gave you back a refund of euro 100 that you should have already received.
We thank you for your comments and we hope to host you again in the future.

It was so nice to be in the center of Paris! The apartment was within walking distance to many sights and close to several Metro stations and great restaurants. Although on a busy street, the apartment was quiet and faced a lovely courtyard. On previous trips, we've been in cramped hotel rooms - so this was a huge upgrade! The apartment was chic, clean and modern. I would definately recommend it, and would stay there again on my next visit.

Adelaide, South AustraliaWhat a charmer, Parisienne style
Left on 03/06/2012 for a stay in February 2012
We loved our little apartment loaded with character and in the best possible location. It was so charming with plenty of light, opening windows to a courtyard below, and despite it's central location, tucked away so it was so quiet. I was glad of its Parisienne feel when I had to stay in for a few days due to illness. The exchange rate from aU to EU was kind to us so the rate was fantastic for the two bathrooms, two bedrooms, lounge and kitchen. The only down side was that a washing machine would have been very handy. Also, our son stayed on the fold-out couch which was in disrepair but we just put the mattress from it on the floor instead so all was well. Wireless internet was free, fast and reliable; having two bathrooms was great; and being in the heart of St Germein with all the restaurants and shops and just a hop over the river to La Louvre one way and Notredame the other way... well, that was perfect. Musee d'Orsay, the Grand and Petit Palais, Latin Quarter all in easy walks, plus the metro one block away which took us to Versaille, La Defence, the Eiffel Tower (and we walked back from the tower), so a really perfect spot. The Halldis team service and attention was excellent with a great reception and farewell, an excellent car service from the airport by Giancarlo, and exemplary contact and help from Marco via phone and email, all the way. Will recommend this to everyone. We stayed as parents and two young adults very comfortably, and when our children went on a side holiday for a week it was still sized well so that we didn't feel like the space and cost were wasted, being there with just the two of us. Enjoy.

Besides being aesthetically pleasing and beautifully appointed, the accommodation was a winner because of it's location, size, cleanliness and prompt and efficient service from booking to departure. We were 5 adults, 2 doubles and a single, so the 2 bathrooms were an absolute bonus. Highly recommended.

We stayed 4 nights and had a wonderful time. You couldn't ask for a better location, everything was in walking distance from the sights, restaurants, bars and grocery store. The apartment is decorated beautifully and was spotless. It was our little sanctuary in the heart of Paris. We would rent this apartment again.
