      Great Location, Comfy apartment

Left on 01/07/2013 for a stay in November 2011

I traveled to Paris with my brother and we chose this apartment. It is so quaint and cozy, but certainly large enough for two people. The location is outstanding. The kitchen has everything you need. The home is comfortable and quiet.

I would stay here again. The owner is a pleasure to work with and lives in the us for easy contact.

The washer/dryer is one unit that takes a long time to wash and dry. Keep your loads small and be aware that you might get excessive shrinkage. However, this is just something to mention, but would not stop me from visiting again.

      Again, the location was wonderful.

There was a cheese shop on the same street, a wonderful bakery (Eric Kayser's) on the corner for pastries and sandwiches, a grocery store within two blocks and restaurants close by.

The owner also has a second apartment, which I have not visited, but would consider also.

      Clean and cosy

Left on 11/03/2012 for a stay in September 2012

We had a wonderful time in Paris for our first visit. The apartment was very comfortable and in a great location. We had a bakery on the corner named Eric Kayser's which we had breakfast or morning tea at everyday.
The apartment was well setup and spacious enough to sleep our family of 5. Loved the free Wifi and bottle of french wine on arrival.

A nice apartment in excellent location - recommended for a famil

Left on 10/22/2012 for a stay in October 2012

We found this apartment through some research here at Ta. This was the first time we used Ta for searching vacation rentals.

The contact with the owner managing the rental process was excellent. The additional information given and the negotiation process about terms as well as signing the agreement was very prompt and professional.

Upon arrival at the apartment we had a small issue with the door code / key set, but this was resolved in just a couple of minutes. There is a local service provider with a prompt reply to contacts of the tenants. As we got in, the apartment greeted us well cleaned and it generally met the description regarding the setup and the equipment.

The floor plan is smart utilizing well the quite small space available. There are two decent sized bedrooms, a small living space, a very well planned tailor made kitchenette and a shower room + toilet combination. There are enough cabinet spaces built in utilizing the limited space in a smart manner. The kitchen equipment is suitable even for preparing meals in the apartment, but we decided not to utilize this feature. Instead, we had breakfasts and some snacks at the apartment. One nice feature of the apartment is the old parquet floor in the bedrooms and in the living area.

To be frank, the biggest luxury of the apartment is the great location, but all of it is of good quality and absolutely nothing negative for a person who is prepared to stay in a *** hotel. If you seek a Luxury apartment by definition, with a remarkable view etc. you have to pay much-much more in Paris. We felt the price/quality was absolutely OK here, understanding the local average price & standard.

The information technology package includes a satellite TV with tens of channels, a free WiFi internet connection and a free phone call feature (did not try it, though). In the apartment there is also a folder with lots of useful information and instructions of use.

The apartment is located in an inner court side building, in first floor up with no views. The windows give to two directions, making ventilation easy. There is only one fly of stairs making it quite easy to manage to take the luggage in and out. Please also note the house is very quiet and you are expected to respect this rule, too.

The location of the apartment is truly excellent, which adds a lot of value, especially when you are on a "power tour" with a goal to see many of the key attractions in a short time:

      1) There are small shops (high quality bakery, specialist shops for fruits &vegetables;, wine, cheeses, local products, artisan chocolate etc.) a Proxi general store and a good Monoprix supermarket just a few steps from the apartment. This is a big asset, as you will not have to waste time on the practicals. There are also enough restaurants, cafes etc. very close.
      2) From the apartment, you very easily access Solferino and Rue du Bac metro, several very useful bus lines and RER C. Musee d Orsay, Louvre, Place de Concorde and even Notre Dame are within an easy walk. Taking a bus gives you views all the way but is of course a bit slower than metro, especially on a bit longer distances. The artery of Rive Gauche, Bd St Germain, is just a few hundred meters from the apartment. Likewise just crossing the bridge over Seine takes you to Rue Rivoli and the Tuilieres park leading to Bd Champs Elysees. A piece of advice: load a few Paris public transportation map applications to your mobile to make it easy to plan further as you move about. We would also recommend buying day tickets for the stay in order to make it very easy and quite cheap to use the public transportation system.

I would recommend this apartment for a couple or a family with two children staying in the separate beds of the second bedroom. I would perhaps not rent it for two couples as the general space is limited and there is only one bathroom and toilet to share. At least you should then be aware of these limitations.

Upon departure, we simply followed the very clear instructions about departure procedures. The taxi found the place quite easily. The fare from/to CDG was about 60 euros (4 persons, 2 big bags).

Rue Verneuil is like a small village in the heart of Paris

Left on 06/02/2012 for a stay in May 2012

This was our second trip to Paris having stayed in the Rue Cler neighbohood in 08. Although we liked the Rue Cler area, the Rue Verneuil area is simply wonderful. A staging point for almost all that is worth seeing in Paris and much of it in walking distance. Bakeries, cheese shop, wine shop, restaurants and bistros abound. Our favorite resto in the area: Les Minesteres! The apartment itself was wonderful, big enough for us and our two grown kids. Very clean with many amenities and ohhh so eerie quiet! But back to Paris: simply magical! Even with an unsuccessful pickpocket incident on the metro in Montmarte. My son somehow was able to recover my wife's wallet. Lesson learned for ladies: leave that pocketbook behind. In summary, Rosa's apartment made a wonderful vacation even more pleasant. Do not hesitate, rent this place. I know we will in the future if it is available. Paris is indeed the center of the world and we have traveled far and wide.

Great family accommodation in good location

Left on 05/27/2012 for a stay in May 2012

Our family of four stayed in this apartment for 5 nights in early May. Having stayed in several apartments in different European countries prior to arriving in Paris, the apartment was not quite the 'luxury' that we expected. Perhaps luxury by Parisian standards? Whilst the apartment was a two bedroom apartment, both bedrooms were taken up by the double and 2 single beds, and not much could fit in otherwise. The living area was quite small, and if the sofa bed was opened (which we had to use on the last night with an extra guest staying with us) then there was no room to move at all in the living area. The kitchen - whilst fully functional, only had room for one person at a time in it. There was also a hiccup with communication between the owner and the agent - which had us waiting outside the apartment to be let in for 15 minutes, before he realised we hadn't been given the code to enter the foyer.
Having said that however, the apartment was very clean, and was only a base for us to sleep in each night, whilst exploring Paris during the day. There were a good selection of restaurants available locally, as well as a very good bakery at the end of the street, and a supermarket close by as well. If you are looking for a 2 bedroom unit in a centrally located area of Paris, then this would suit your needs perfectly.

A true Parisian apartment in a perfect location (perfect for fam

Left on 01/09/2012 for a stay in December 2011

Having stayed in an hotel for our previous 3 visits to Paris, our family of 5 (19, 17, 15 year-old) decided to try to rent an apartment and we found this charming apartment on Trip advisor. We spent 4 days between Dec. 27-31, 2011 and we were absolutely satisfied. 2 nice bedrooms, well equiped, the apartment is very clean and has everything a family needs (diswasher, microwave, coffee machine, Wi-Fi, etc.) My 2 daughters shared the 2nd room and my son slept in the double hide-in-bed in the living room. It was very very quiet even during Chrismas holidays - as a matter of facts, we did not hear any noise at all from the neighbours! This is a small one-way street with almost no cars so you are hearing any honks there. There is a maintenance guy working there in case of problem(did not have to use him). Most of all, it has a perfect location: it is next door to Musée d'Orsay and 5 minutes from Jardin des Tuileries, the Louvre, St-Germain des Prés. As soon as you walk in that street, you meet the real Paris: "croissants" and "baguette" bakery shop + cheese and wine shop on the corner, little boutiques, cafés, etc. The metro stations (rue du Bac or Solferino) is less than 5-minute walk which are main line to most of the major attractions (it costs us 30 euros each for the week, including the travel to airports by subway). From the apartment, you can even walk to the Eiffel Tower (20 minutes) or take the Bus 69 directly. Instead of spending 50 euros for breakfasts in a restaurant, I bought croissants and baguettes at the corner bakery at 8am and brought it back to the apartment (like a true Parisian). The interactions with the owner were simply perfect, very professional and helpful. Rates are quite fair and worth every penny. Instead of paying top price for a crowded hotel and being packed in small rooms, a couple with children should definitely think about that kind of apartment. I recommend it without hesitation.
      We will certainly come back.

Great vacation in a great apartment!

Left on 10/20/2011 for a stay in October 2011

I stayed in this apartment with my husband and our 2 daughters. The location is fabulous! We were able to walk everywhere and loved the little shops in the neighborhood. The bakery in the corner was to die for. We could buy warm croissants coming out of the oven there twice a day! The apartment was very cozy and had everything we needed to feel at home. The free phone calls to the USa were a real plus. We also liked how quiet it was, despite being in the heart of the city. I would definitely recommend this apartment if you want to feel like a real Parisian. It is much better than being crowded in a small hotel room for the same price!

2 BR apartment by Musee d'Orsay

Left on 10/11/2011 for a stay in March 2010

It was really a dream to stay at the heart of the Old and Glorious Europe.

The location of this apartment is unsurpassable, in the middle of the Paris historic center, close to the main monumental areas and the delicious 'boulangeries' and eateries.

The apartment was very comfortable and clean. My wife and I were delighted with our experience.

      Perfect location

Left on 09/13/2011 for a stay in December 2011

Perfect place for a single couple or with 2 kids. Has all the ammenities to wake up and have your coffee with the best croissants in the world from the corner artisan boulangerie. Likewise for an evening meal or snack with the best cheese that can be found from the cheese shop in the same street and a warm baguette and the wine that the property left upon our arrival.

Best of all is the location. Walked all over w/o need of a cab. The Musee D"orsay was literally 4 minutes walking, the Louvre museum was 10 min walk and so on. Moreover came from the airport by the RER avoiding traffic and expense. best central location in Paris we have ever stayed!

      Marvelous Home away From Home

Left on 09/07/2011 for a stay in April 2011

My wife and I and our two adult children spent an amazing week based out of this great apartment. With two bedrooms and plenty of living space, the four of us were comfortable and able to accommodate our various schedules. The great location near the Musee d'Orsay and the Louvre gave us great flexibility to come and go as we pleased. The neighborhood is wonderful - from the great bakery on the corner to lots of wonderful restaurants right in the neighborhood. It was the second time that my wife and I have stayed at the apartment (our other stay was a week in November). We were amazed at how quiet the apartment is - given its urban setting. Just a great experience. We'd go back in a heartbeat - and wouldn't consider staying anywhere else.
