Riga, LatviaTo feel Parisians
Left on 02/02/2013 for a stay in October 2012
I and my husband stopped here in October 2012. The remarkable area, around is a lot of shops and various cafes. Appartment small, but cozy. There is all necessary equipment. Only it is necessary to get used to low beams, and in the bathroom the curtain is necessary.
It was pleasant to cooperate with Christiana from the very beginning of correspondence. Thank you for hospitality.Response from Christiana - 02/07/2013

LondonGreat Location...but overall average experience
Left on 12/14/2012 for a stay in December 2012
We recently stayed at this loft apartment over a weekend and we were told that it up a flight of steps (6 storeys)! The apartment is at the top of the building being a loft and you have to get through winding steps that are sometimes quite slanted and slippery and sometimes the auto lights go off on the steps leaving you in absolute darkness! Its a tough climb with a toddler mainly because you feel that you can fall down the steps at any point of time. In terms of the apartment in itself, the room are quite a nice size but the main bedroom is slanted and hence you do get the feeling that you are sliding off on to the other side! The bed is very comfortable, the heaters work (given that we went during a very cold weekend) and the sofa bed is also great. We didnt really use much of the kitchen except for the microwave. But when we got in to the apartment it was quite late at night and there was no bottled water in the fridge which would have been appreciated. Also as a suggestion a small bottle of milk in the fridge would be a good to have! The bathroom is really tiny and the first day we ran out of hot water in the bath. The second day we didnt use it right after the other person and that way the hot water came back again after a while. Also if you use the shower on top of the bath tub then the water is everywhere on the floor. The biggest risk of the apartment is actually the beams. We were quite careful but even then we got quite a few knocks on the head because one is just not used to how low the beams are exposed and especially in the bathroom. There is very little space to move. But the location of the apartment is great, shops, cafes, metro etc.

Owner
Dear Priyanka,
I'm really sorry to hear that in retrospect your Paris experience seems to be less enthusiastic than it was during your stay.
Given that my apartment is exactly as advertised and shown in the photos (walk-up, self-catered, sloping ceilings...) and that you did not seem to have any questions about all of the above when you booked it and no complaints about anything during your stay (all to the contrary), I must admit that your review leaves me quite perplexed.
Perhaps a more traditional type of accommodation would have been more suitable to your needs?
Kind regards,
Christiana -

San Diego, CAJust enough!
Left on 09/13/2012 for a stay in April 2012
This is a small space, but is just enough! I stayed here for two weeks and enjoyed the location immensely. The place was comfy and stylish.
We had a fair amount of trouble with the internet connection and I'd say the place could have been cleaned with a tiny bit more detail. It took some getting used to the shower situation-- it is awfully cramped with your head next to a beam, but it's doable. Also, you will get water all over the place and will have to clean it up each time if you shower standing. Other than these little things, though, it was great and I would definitely stay there again. Great value for the location, style and hospitality! Cristiana was awesome!

Dear Hallie,
Your kind and honest review really touched me, thank you very much.
The shower takes indeed a couple of times to get used to. It was the only way to get a full sized bathroom (with tub) in the space - I hope it didn't inconvenience you too much.
I'm sorry again that the WiFi was unstable during your stay. The interference issues have now been resolved, so you'll be fully connected next time you visit!
See you soon,
Christiana -

SydneyOne month in an attic
Left on 04/15/2012 for a stay in February 2012
My friend and I stayed in Beams for the month of February and loved the apartment. It's perfectly equipped and furnished to fit the space. The location is also fantastic- a short stroll from everything you need and could possibly want in Paris. Christiana was also wonderful to deal with and very helpful. I wouldn't question whether to stay here again on my next trip to Paris

Dear Lucy,
I'm glad that my Attic Hideout left you with such wonderful impressions. I hope to see you again the next time you're heading back to Europe. After all, you need to exercise all the French you learnt, no? ;-)

Parma, ItalyPerfect for a Romantic Getaway!
Left on 04/13/2012 for a stay in March 2012
This place is the excellent choice for those who want to experience the real Paris at a little (80-90 €/night) price.
It's located between two Metro stops, well served by buses and in a strategic position to reach all the most important places of the city centre.
The apartament is small (24 sq.m) but it features everything you need: a small kitchen (with microwave oven, coffee machine, fridge, electric hotplate, tableware, and some food), bathroom (with beautiful Occitane's soap and a washing mashine), delicious bedroom with a soft bed and many Paris guides.
Christiana (the owner) is very kind and does her best to satisfy every guest's demand. Check in and check out were very fast and easy and before our arrival she gave us all the details to find the house. After the check out she also kept our luggage.
We really loved the atmosphere, the location, the style of the apartament, the small winter garden, the Stereo, free international calls, the comfortable bed, cleanliness...
Since it is an attic, the ceiling is low somewhere, expecially in the bathroom; furthermore it is on the sixth floor without lift.
Finally, we really liked this apartament! It offers an excellent quality/cost rate and an ideal location, we truly recommend it!

Gorgeous little apartment in perfect location. Ideal for 1 or 2 people. Clean, chic presentation and wwell set up. Very compact but all you need when exploring Paris. Great location in the Marais in very hip and arty area. 2 mins to Rue de Bretagne with fabulous people watching. Would stay again. Maybe not for very tall people though.
