What's Nearby:
Additional Location Information
This part of Paris has nearly no equivalent when speaking about location and proximity of centers of interest. Right in the1st arrondissement, close to theOperaand theLouvre, the apartment is surrounded by History.
Here culture meets the business sector. The area is ideally located for work as many companies and banks are based there or within a short distance. Four of the besthotels in Parisare right nearby, the Crillon, the Ritz, the Meurice and the trendier Hotel Costes.
Already very important during the three centuries before the French Revolution in 1789, this part of Paris has always developed and evolved. In the 16th and 17th century the "Jardin des Tuileries" and the "Place Vendôme" were created. Minor changes to the streets occurred later, for instance "rue de la Paix" (originally "rue Napoléon") was built at the beginning of the 19th century. The rue Saint-Honoré was known as been a place where all ranks of nobility and rich Parisian families found their suppliers since the 16th century. Nowadays the places and people have evolved, but the trend is the same. Except for Sundays, when all shops are closed, the area is always busy and lively.
With all this History what we now have is an amazing architecture and museums. All the streets in the neighbourhood have a very specific theme, the buildings all present a harmonious architecture and design and most of them if not all are of historical importance.
The "Jardin des Tuileries" itself is another piece of History, and in addition to its green area it offers a couple of museums (Le Jeu de Paume and l`Orangerie). Through this garden, and thanks to the Passerelle Solférino, it is easy to access the museum of Orsay, whereas within a short walking distance one also reaches the Louvre. For more theatrical entertainment the "La Comédie Française" and the Opéra Garnier are also very close by.
The neighbourhood has everything to offer for a fine day to day life.
The closest metro stop is PALAIS ROYALE MUSEE DU LOUVRE (line 1 and 7) or PYRAMIDES (line 7 and 14).
The closest pay parking garage is the Parc Pyramides in rue Pyramides, at 250 metres.

milanogood location
Left on 11/22/2012 for a stay in October 2012
we spent 4 days in this flat, close to Louvre main ticket office. Its location is great: at close walking reach you have lots of touristic destinations. We almost never used the metro!
We were there with our 2 kids and honestly the flat is more suitable for 2 or 3 (the second bed is a sofa, rather narrow for 2 teenagers).
People from the welcome service were very kind and helpful. -

BucharestSpacious and central
Left on 06/20/2012 for a stay in June 2012
The apartment is very central and spacious for Paris and equipped with all we needed. It is located at 3rd floor in a inner courtyard and this way it was very quiet even it is located on Rivoli. There is mini market 5 minutes walk and many cafes, shops. The only drawback was the cleaning.
