      Paris at its best

Left on 05/02/2012 for a stay in April 2012

This is our second stay at this apartment. We like the quiet surroundings of Port Royal. However, within minutes, la rue Mouffetard is within easy walking distance. Also, access from Roissy CDG is direct to Port Royal metro, a few minutes walk to the apartment. Such a benefit.

Gina, the owner, is next door. Generous to a fault, attentive to all details including the welcome amenities in the fridge, she ensures your comfort at all times. The apartment is spacious, airy, full of sunlight with its solarium windows in the living room. On those sunny mornings, you can take coffee and croissants on the balcony, up high on the 5th floor, away from the street.

We were 4 adults and there was space for everyone. The kitchen is beautifully equipped and with the market not far away, we found ourselves staying in some evenings at dinner time rather than heading out to a restaurant. In this apartment, we settle in as if we were residents of the city. This is a luxury.

It is Paris at its best. We'll definitely return.

      Amazing

Left on 04/02/2012 for a stay in March 2012

Everything was perfect about this property except that they are remodeling the exterior sidewalks. That is not really a problem, but suitcases don't roll well on sand we found out!

The hostess who met us was superb. I hope I will have the chance to visit this property again.

      Great apartment

Left on 07/29/2011 for a stay in July 2011

My 12 year old niece and I spent one week in this apartment in July 2011. It was more than spacious enough for the two of us. Gina, the property manager, was lovely. She not only stocked the fridge with essentials but she included some non-alcoholic champagne so my niece and I could toast our trip to Paris.

The apartment is about a 10-15 minute walk to the metro station or the RER station. There are buses right across the street but we never used them. The RER is two stop ride to Notre Dame and three or four stops to the Louvre. We found it very convenient and my niece loved riding the RER and metro.

The apartment is on a busy street. We did not find the noise a problem but some people may have an issue with it. We found the check in process with Gina wonderful once we found the apartment. Better instructions on how to locate the apartment (where the gate is, how to open the gate etc) should be provided. And while the apartment has a well furnished kitchen, a proper large teapot would be a nice addition.

If staying at this apartment, check out the restaurant L'Agrume. It is an easy walk to the restaurant and the food there is great.

I would recommend this apartment to those that are comfortable being away from the tourist sights, like using the metro or RER and do not mind some street noise at times.

      A dream come true!!!

Left on 07/11/2011 for a stay in April 2011

Our stay in Paris was just perfect.. Staying at Cobblestay #18 was truly like being a resident in Paris... It was wonderfully comfortable, beautifully furnished and absolutely clean and comfortable... I would refer anyone travelling to Paris to seek this property.. Gina, the Property Manager is a wonderful woman. Gina is available to help visitors with information, restaurants and overall tips to a perfect stay... Upon our arrival the refrigerator was fully stocked and so Parisian.!!!

      It is an overall winner!!!
Thanks Gina it was a wonderful experience...

Okay, way too noisy, too far from the sites

Left on 07/08/2011 for a stay in May 2011

Nice apartment, but no ac in the rooms other than the bedroom. Also street is a extremely noisy, not very restful with the doors open to let air in. A little too far from the things you want to see if it is your first visit to Paris. Also no place to put your clothes in the upper loft. Gina was very nice.
Beware this property is on a very, very noisy street

Thanks for your feedback and we regret any issue at all that compromised your stay in Paris. We always work with our guests to choose the right property based on their budget, location preference and guest priorities.

Indeed, in Paris, street noise can never be fully avoided. If the all the windows throughout the apartment are left open, it's about the same noise that you would find in the West Village in NYC. However, the windows are double paned and there is air conditioning in the bedroom. Also, most if any noise dies down in Paris by 7pm.

The exact location of the property is highlighted on all descriptions including the CobbleStay website. It's 10 mins walk (1/2 mile) to the Luxembourg Gardens. For public transport, you can walk across the to bus stop to Louvre or D'Orsay museum. Or, the RER stop direct to Charles de Gaulle airport.

      Thanks again for your feedback.

Great Experience on Edge of 5th/13th arrondisements

Left on 07/08/2011 for a stay in May 2011

A really terrific experience in Port Royal/Les Gobelins neighborhood. Beautiful apartment that did not disappoint. My wife and I stayed here for two weeks in May 2011 and would highly recommend it. Convenient to Metro and bus stop (to Louvre or Orsay) is at the front gate. A short walk to Muffetard area and Luxembourg Gardens.

Left on 04/05/2011 for a stay in March 2011

This apartment was just the best decision that we made! It was perfectly located and Gina was awesome! She made everything perfect for us and even helped translate some things for us! We now consider this our Paris home... and the heated towel bar... pure luxury!

Beautiful apartment that made our trip a success

Left on 01/07/2011 for a stay in August 2010

Our stay at this apartment was practically flawless. The check in process was easy and our hostess was more than helpful throughout our stay. The apartment itself is beautiful corner unit with terraces on both sides. The kitchen was nicely appointed and it was great being able to eat at home when we felt like it. The high windows make the apartment so bright and welcoming after a day of walking around the city. The area itself is a little far from central Paris, but has easy access to both bus and train lines. We enjoyed the quiet and pretty neighborhood. It is also walking distance from a couple of great neighborhoods as well as Luxembourg Park. We would definitely stay here again; the only downside is that the apartment is on a busy street, so the loft bedroom was a bit noisy during the night.

      sharing in Paris

Left on 12/17/2010 for a stay in April 2010

The apartment was large, airy, and beautifully kept.
Gina, the owner, was very available and patient.
The balcony, all around the apartment, allowed for that typical Parisian feel of being up and away but part of the city.
Walking distance to the Mouffetard Market, theatre, an area we love... easy access to airport...
Space and light are our criteria, and we got this and more

      Fabulous

Left on 12/14/2010 for a stay in June 2010

This apartment was beautiful. The owner's artistic abilities were apparent and very welcome. Nice furniture, beautiful linens etc. She welcomed us with a fridge of necessities - milk, bread, butter, jam and so forth as well as fresh flowers. It was so comfortable and there was plenty of room for the three of us. It would be hard to imagine a better setup. The location was superb. Just out of the way of the main touristy areas, but so easy to move around the city with the bus stop just across the street, and RER and Metro within comfortable walking distance. The thrice weekly street market just up the street was pure heaven for me, and I'm sure I was the only tourist shopping there! We thought we'd go out to eat much more than we did because purchasing our own fresh food was such a pleasure - even my daughter's birthday dinner we had 'at home.'

      Strolling the Left Bank

Left on 12/10/2010 for a stay in May 2010

We normally stay in the Marais, but this time we decided to try the Left Bank. This property was a perfect launchpad for daily excursions to the parks and playgrounds of Paris.

Every day we walked to different bakeries and cafes. And every night the kids had a nice bath and good night's sleep. Yet another wonderful and relaxing family vacation in Paris.

The reservation staff and service level were excellent. I'm sure we will be repeat customers of Cobblestay.

The owner was delightful, generous and helpful. Apartment with all its balconies and light was marvelous; close proximity to shops for meals, airport transportation and buses for getting around town. We would definitely book this apartment again. The verrière was just lovely and the light everywhere in the apartment a real tonic.
