See a part of Paris most travelers have not yet discovered and then see the usual monumental historical sights… This is a grand apartment of 48 m 2 which has very tasteful quality furnishings – even a shiny piano! And of course, the feature of this place is the grand open view out to a ‘different’ type of monument, the world renowned Père Lachaise Cemetery. A different view on Paris......One doesn't usually associate a cemetery with a romantic stroll-- but a visit to Père Lachaise begs exactly that. You can visit the sites...Read more

New York, NYTransporting Paris hideaway near Pere Lachaise.
Left on 05/17/2012 for a stay in April 2012
This is an exceptional apartment with treetop views of Pere Lachaise. The apartment is wonderful and exceptionally well appointed, with a great bed, beddings and bath linens. The kitchen is one in which you can actually cook and you will love the sitting room. The 20th is hotter than hot and there is lots to do relatively nearby. Lots of good pizza as well, without patronizing Pizza Hut, which is just down the street!
If you have not rented with Vacation In Paris before, you will love the service, whether with this apartment or any of there many other selections from their great inventory. I have rented with VIP several times and you cannot beat arriving in Paris with apartment keys, which does not happen with other agencies. Their office service is as awesome as is the fact that you can pay in dollars! Use this service! -

RamonaReturning to my apartment home in Paris
Left on 04/20/2012 for a stay in April 2012
This is my second time to this delightful apartment, and now I couldn't imagine staying anywhere else in Paris! A beautiful view, a quiet neighborhood, fantastic local food, easy access to metro, the world famous Pere Lachaise Cemetery just outside the window - this place has it all. If you're looking for your home away from home in Paris, look now further! Also, this company is wonderful to work with.

lovely apartment needs tender loving care
Left on 02/03/2012 for a stay in January 2012
We stayed in this quaint neighborhood and really enjoyed the convenience of it. Great bakery, cheese & butcher shop, grocery store and metro all at the ned of the street. From the Gare de Lyon it was only a few short stops as we were arriving from Basel, Switzerland. A few things that we did not like were: The heating was not on. The manager met us there and she could have turned it on or showed as it was very cold that wknd. The hallway outside the apt. door smelled of urine.(experienced this also in amsterdam last year) We spent 1 night without heat only to discover that the instructions were in the guestbook. It also was not clean. It was a very sunny apartment with a great view. Since we were receiving guests for dinner I went ahead and cleaned the very dirty windows and tryed to vaccum the dust, crumbs and pine needles that were left on the floor. The vaccum cleaner bag was full and no replacements. 3 bulbs were burned out with no replacemnets as well. I also found a condom in a wrapper as well as an empty wrapper on the bedroom floor. This did not make us happy. I left a note to tell them all these things but they did not reach us. As we payed an extra fee for a short stay and all the cleaning I did I would have expected more. After all this if we were guarenteed it would be clean we would stay here again. It had a lovely charm in an old building around the corner from very good friends of ours(that was a surprise did not plan this)

San Diego, CAComposing Music Beside Chopin's Resting place
Left on 07/19/2011 for a stay in June 2011
This apartment was wonderful in every way. My mom and I stayed three weeks, and we loved it. We are currently writing an original musical, set in Pere Lachaise, and this apartment was the perfect location and inspiration to work. Playing and composing on a Pleyel piano, Chopin's piano, while Chopin is resting next door, was a dream. And the neighborhood is wonderful! We fell in the love with the people who run the cheese shop, bakery and fruit/vegetable stand at the bottom of the street. Our best meals were the ones we made fresh in our little kitchen, using local ingredients. The apartment was so homey and comfortable, it truly felt like our home, and we were sad to leave it. I would recommend this apartment to anyone who wants a taste of a real neighborhood in Paris, and we will deffinitely be returning.

Scottsdale, AZBest Travel Decision We Ever Made
Left on 06/10/2010 for a stay in March 2010
It was recommended to us by a very experienced European traveler to rent an apartment in Paris, both for comfort and for value. He could not have been more correct. Our apartment was absolutely perfect for our needs. A bit off the beaten path, it was admittedly a couple of Metro stops further than some would want, but it was convenient to the Metro station and was an easy walk. The neighborhood was not the most romantic in Paris, but it certainly was not bad and the apartment had an awesome view of the Pere Lachaise cemetery. The accomodations were significantly more roomy and comfortable than a hotel room and the value was tremendous. When we return to Paris, I would not hesitate to inquire as to the availability of this particular apartment.
