The Les Halles district is undergoing several phases of renovation that will continue until 2016. The current phase involves the demolition of the structure facing the apartment, which temporarily re-opens the view across to the beautiful St Eustache church.
The apartment will be discounted by 10 % during this period.

We arrived by overnight train tired and needing a shower. We tried to text and phone our contact person to no avail. We tried for a further hour whilst sitting in a coffee shop at the train station in East Paris. We ended up calling head office which was in Barcelona and given another person to contact. We finally got through to a guy who said we would not be able to check in until 430pm even though the check in time was 3pm. We had previously emailed head office our arrival time and it was previously confirmed that we could check in late morning. Anyway it was a great apartment for a couple. Walking distance to everything and 3 trains lines close by. The only issue was the massive construction site next door which had jack hammers and trucks starting up at 7am. Then passing by people noise continued into the early hours of the morning and we needed to keep the double glazed windows closed all the time. An no aircon either. Apart from that it was a good base and we really tried not to be there that much.

Great location for touring Paris. I'd be cautious in this area at night (but no more than in any other city!) The apartment is secure. Apartment well equipped. A couple of minor irritations when we stayed (e.g WiFi was down), but I would stay there again. Good service from Friendly Rentals.
