Located on rue de Buci and rue St. Andres des Arts, you couldn't ask for a better location in the heart of St. Germain! This is truly a large wonderful Paris vacation rental loft that the owner, as an artist, has lovingly decorated - even with some of her own paintings! Right on the famous pedestrian streets of rue Buci - rue St. Andres des Arts, it has a great view of all the activities and passerby’s below, but affords a peaceful relaxing stay due to the TRIPLE paned windows… And large windows they are! Towering up over 12 feet high, the ceiling is...Read more

Fantastic stay in the heart of St. Germain

Left on 02/23/2013 for a stay in February 2013

Three adult women stayed in this loft comfortably. We loved the location. It is on a busy intersection of stores, restaurants and pedestrians. The location felt safe. It was within walking distance of all the main attractions and metro if we didn't feel like walking. The apartment is nicely decorated with a new and practical kitchen. The bathroom was a nice surprise for Paris with a large tub, lots of room and great water pressure. The upstairs loft has a low ceiling with steep stairs so it is best for your younger more nimble occupants. It would not be safe toddlers and would be difficult for anyone with limited mobility to manage. The free phone calls to North america from the apartment was a bonus I am sure no hotel would offer the same. This apartment was central to our wonderful holiday in Paris. Working with the Vacation in Paris company to arrange the stay was easy and trouble free. They sent very helpful and specific information to help make the stay trouble free (e.g. where to put the garbage, who to contact in emergencies, expectations around noise, how to work appliances, etc). I am still amazed at just how smoothly everything went!

This apartment, the artist's Loft is a perfect base for exploring Paris. An easy walk to Notre Dame, the Sorbonne, Luxumborg Gardens and in the centre of the bustling cafe, bistrot and bar area of St. Germain it is a modern and quirky surprise.
Probably not ideal for anyone above average height due to the mezzanine bedroom, the ladder to the loft and the low ceiling as well as the very hard bed, also present a challenge for the more mature traveller. But this aspect of the design also makes the apartment stand out from the rest.
The full height windows present the perfect place to sit with a wine or coffee and watch the St. Germain crowd and traffic going about their business.
We loved our 5 nights in the artist's Loft and would highly recommend it to any other travellers.

      Living like a Parisienne...

Left on 04/23/2012 for a stay in April 2012

The location of the apt. was beyond what we could have expected. We were in the 6th arr. within walking distance of the Seine, Notre Dame, numerous cafes and restaurants, shops, a supermarket, two different metro stops, the RER. I could go on and on. It was a one floor walk-up and the apt. had two 13 foot windows facing the colorful neighborhood. This trip was for taking our granddaughter to Paris for her 10th birthday and she loved it. The experience really showed what it would be like to live in Paris.
Upon arrival, the apt. was clean and the instructions we were given ahead of time as to the quirky front door lock, the code to use to get into the building, all the particulars were exactly as described. We were actually able to get into the apt. ahead of time since the cleaning people were done early. They even had free telephone calls to the us and Canada. All in all, a fabulous experience!

Nice loft, excellent location... firm bed!

Left on 04/02/2012 for a stay in March 2012

Very enjoyable weekend break in this loft apartment for a good price. Mezzaninne has very low ceiling so would not be great for a tall person. Bed was fairly firm but it depends what you are used to.
Meet and greet service was quite short so make sure you provide an accurate time of arrival!
Loved the location, very good for walking around the city centre and getting around.
No problems with booking, but make sure to provide all the information requested in advance (felt like a lot of info and confirmations were required by email, following the booking). Deposit returned without hassle.

Best location in Paris! Lively area with bars and cafes in every

Left on 09/21/2011 for a stay in September 2011

We were really worried about booking an apartment in Paris after hearing some horror stories - but decided to go through Vacations in Paris since it was so highly ranked! It was a great experience overall - they were prompt with their responses, keys were delivered on time, apartment was clean and ready when we got there --- we are waiting for our security deposit right now, but have already recieved confirmation that it will be refunded in 10 days.

The apartment itself was exactly as advertised in the pictures - clean and modern looking. Bathroom and kitchen were newly renovated and everything had a cute, chic-ness about it. The loft bedroom is for the vertically challenged --- as advertised it is only 4.5 feet or so, and the ladder steps to get up to it can be tricky for older people perhaps or anyone after a drunk night out! we were 2 young couples sharing the space and managed to get through it without any issues.

The location is the real selling feature for this apartment thought -- its a 3-5 minute walk to the metro, a 2 minute walk to a super market, wine stores, and over a dozen cafes in each direction. It is a very lively area with a couple bars about a one minute walk as well and the streets are littered with people well into the night/morning --- even with the windows shut it was a little noisy at 4-5 am! We were so tired after long days of sight seeing and long nights of partying that we barely noticed it --- but if you are light sleeper, a good pair of ear plugs will come in very handy!

The location was the best part of this apartment. Outside, just steps away were cafes, restaurants, shops. The apartment was very clean, had everything we needed. The rental process was easy. I highly recommend this rental!

(I already sent in a review)
But its such a great apartment it deserves another!
Loved this apartment!!!.. Every detail was beyond our expectations and it was the highlight of our three weeks in France. I would stay there again and again.
The art is playful and fun. As an artist myself, it set the tone of the whole stay for us.
One note: keep jewelry away from bathroom ledge above sink...Iost a pearl earring into the drain! Oh well.
We ate out often, but found the best market to be the one smaller one down the second street on the right towards the Seine, as you leave the apartment turning left..sorry, Cant remember the street names! Avoid the bigger market...
Dont pull too hard on the drapes, the whole pole will come down. That's the only worry I had!
They are awesome windows...the street sound is totally buffered.
      Enjoy, indulge and make memories!
