This Paris short term apartment rental is located a few minutes away from the Beaubourg Pompidou Center, and from the Paris City Hall, Hotel de Ville - very centrally located in the 3 rd arrondissement of Paris in the heart of the Marais. The apartment is well positioned to enjoy many of important historic sights of Paris on foot. Located on the 2 nd European floor (3 rd US) with no elevator, in a typical small 18 th century Parisian apartment building. This Beaubourg two bedroom offers high standards of comfort in a convenient and quiet central historic distri...ct for a reasonable nightly rate.

This Paris short term rental is located courtyard side of the building which means no street noise and the apartment has phonic insulation in the ceiling and walls to ensure minimal noise from surrounding apartments. Your apartment looks out onto a small inner courtyard, so it is quiet, but please note there are no views at all. This is an older building which dates back to the early 1700's which is well kept but not fancy.

The apartment, at 51 m 2 (@550 ft 2 ), is compact like most central apartments in Paris, but sufficiently large enough to accommodate up to 6 persons. The front door leads directly into the living/dining area which is a functional room with white walls and wooden flooring with area rugs. There is a sleeper sofa for one guest, coffee table, armchairs, small dining table and chairs, flat screen TV with cable (CNN, BBC channels in English) and DVD player with a selection of DVDs included in the apartment. Wireless high speed Internet access is available.

The kitchen area is also compact but new and looks directly onto the living/dining area. The kitchen includes a small refrigerator, stove top, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, and cupboards with pots, pans and dishes for up to 6 persons. The bathroom and the two bedrooms all have independent access to and from the living/dining room. The bathroom is spacious with wooden flooring, a bathtub, clothes washer/dryer combo unit and sink with vanity and toilet. See floor plan .

The bedrooms are off the living area and have a clean relaxing appeal: all in white with firm new bedding. One bedroom has a queen bed along with a built in armoire for clothes and nightstand. The second bedroom includes two single beds which can also make a queen, please request preference at the time of booking, night stand and dresser. This allows up to four persons to sleep in the bedrooms as well as an additional sleeper sofa which can sleep one person.

Neighborhood: The Beaubourg apartment is within the historic central section of Paris: within 10 minutes on foot you are in the heart of the Marais where you will find the Picasso and Carnevalet Museums, Place des Vosges, and other major architectural attractions primarily from the 17 th and 18 th centuries. Also within walking distance is the Pompidou/Beaubourg Centre, Place de la Republique, Les Halles and the Hotel de Ville, Paris City Hall. The nearest metro stops are Arts & Metriers, Rambuteau and Temple.

The Beaubourg apartment is located on a small street, thus there is very little traffic. The street is not 'fancy', but it is quaint, quiet, safe and includes traditional Parisian apartments as well as workshops, and a small theater for plays just down the street.

Just one block away from the apartment is the Arts & Metiers Museum (see photo of Museum on left, it is in an old church/priory), which houses the collection of the Conservatoire National des Arts et Metiers, founded in 1794 as a depository for the preservation of scientific instruments and inventions. The museum is housed in the priory of Saint-Martin-des-Champs and includes over 40,000 objects at the Paris site, including older cars and airplanes and an original version of the Foucault pendulum.

The Beaubourg, just 3 blocks from the apartment, is a major cultural and educational complex primarily housed in and around the Pompidou Center. The complex includes a theater, library, the Modern Art Museum, the main Modern Art Museum in France, and one of the largest in Europe, and a center for music research. The Pompidou Center receives over 6 million visitors every year.

Near to the apartment are many restaurants, cafes and shops. A larger grocery store, called Monoprix, is on Boulevard Sebastopol, just 5 minutes or so walk from the apartment .Read more

  We stayed with 13 year old twins. The layout of the apartment meant that they had their own space, large rooms for Paris. The location was excellent for independent travelers, with a very close Monop and a larger Monoprix supermarket nearby (Temple). The whole of Ile de France is at your fingertips as both bus and metro are near. We enjoyed the complete freedom of our own space with no one to interfere but when we needed some assistance it was only a phone call away. Not for anyone who needs to be told how to spend their time but ideal for independent tourists.

  Cute, Parisian and modern

  We walked up the stairs, we were a bit apprehensive about the apartment, but as soon as we opened the door, all of our doubts disappeared! The apartment was fantastic! It was modern and cute! Everything you could want!
  
  The rooms were a decent size and everything was pleasant. The beds were comfy - even those that had to sleep on the sofa and the extra pull out mattress! We all fit in quite well. The apartment is very close to cute shops, a fantastic little patisserie down the road where we had breakfast most mornings, a great little supermarket and two metro stations! Paris is a great place and this apartment just completed our last stop on our holiday around europe.
  
  Anyone who plans to do a lot of cooking has to be creative, there are only 2 stove tops, and a microwave - no oven, however we got by just fine - as a group of 6, we managed to have a few dinners at home, otherwise there are numerous restaurants not too far away - by walk or by metro.
  
  The only other thing I could say as a negative would be the wi-fi - we were only able to connect one at a time. For 6 friends, each with their own family and friends to contact and keep in touch with, we found it tricky to co-ordinate who was on and when. We got it done in the end, but would have preferred to have better access.
  
  Otherwise, all in all, it was an awesome, good value for money apartment to stay in Paris considering the great location. Not far away from Notre Dame and The Pompidou Centre (Modern art Museum) and a very easy as a base to go to and from as we explored Paris! We loved it!

  The location and the two bedrooms work out great. The location was vert quite and the cool breeze blew through the windows every night and made sleeping comfortable.
