This is a great bright and airy apartment with open views out onto a newly renovated gorgeous building, actually the Postal Bank of France. Very handsomely decorated with original pieces of artwork and quality furnishings, it is a great place to call ‘home base’ while you come and explore Paris. This area is just southwest of St. Germain and is called the “Bon Marché” area because of the fantastic well know left bank mega department store......the left bank’s challenge to the Gallerie Lafayette. This great one bedroom measures a... comfortable 35 m 2 (@380 ft 2 ) with air-conditioning and several westward facing windows for lots of light. It is on the 4 th European floor (5 th US), no elevator- stairs only, of a well maintained building, with excellent security with two coded security doors on the ground floor to enter building. The bedroom is completely separate with a sliding door for privacy and has a very comfortable double size bed. There is a new high end comfortable double sofa sleeper in the living room for 2 more guests (new October 2012). The kitchen is open to the living area and has all you need for light cooking or just reheating items from nearby delis.

One of the best features of this great place is the close proximity to the metro on line 10, the Vaneau metro stop. It is a short 2 minute walk, just on the corner. This line goes directly to either the St. Germain/St. Michel area or close to the Eiffel Tower area. But you have literally everything you need in the immediate vicinity of this apartment - lots of great restaurants, bakeries, sandwich shops, cafes/bars, and shopping! You can also just saunter over to the Luxembourg Gardens in under 12-13 minutes it is so close by! For those of you wanting to bike, there are 2 ‘Velib’ public bike stations on either end of your street.

It will be nice to return and relax in this quiet air-conditioned apartment, the quiet wall mounted type with remote control. The bedroom can easily accommodate 2 adults and the new double sofa bed with an extra thick mattress in the living room can accommodate 2 more adult guests.

Very tastefully decorated, the owners had set up this place for their daughter to use when she visits Paris. You are right in the middle between the popular 6 th and 7 th districts, we are sure you will love this area! If all you know is the large departments stores on the right bank, come and discover this great area with gourmet food shops, fabulous boutiques, and really ‘tous qu’il faut’!

  Clean, modern apartment within walking distance of numerous "must see" sites in central Paris. Easy, close access to public transportation. Loved the neighborhood. My wife and daughter really enjoyed the cafes, shops, markets along Rue du Cherche Midi which was right around the corner from the apartment. The Marche Biologique is an open air organic market open on Sundays on the corner of Rue du Cherche Midi and Boulevard Raspail - highly recommend the roasted chicken and potatoes.
  
  The apartment has everything you need for preparing your own meals - appliances, cutlery, dishes, etc. Furnishings, although not luxurious, were more than adequate. Bathroom was actually two seperate rooms - one with a shower and sink and one with a toilet and sink - and was clean and all the fixtures worked perfectly (however, on one morning we did run out of hot water in the shower). Plenty of good books in the apartment, if you have the time, in both French and English.
  
  Two minor points to be aware of; the apartment is a walk up on the 4th floor so be prepared for 5 flights of stairs (would not recommend for older travelers or people with disabilities), and the furnished towels in the bathroom are very thin.
  
  Service was excellent. Received our key and very detailed, clear instructions from "Vacation in Paris" in plenty of time prior to our departure. Bottle of wine waiting in the apartment upon our arrival was a nice touch.
  
  Overall a terrific bargain and highly recommended. We will more than likely seek the same apartment for our next visit.

  Convenience in the 6th arr.

  This was a great unit for two people, and proved to be extremely convenient. The metro stop was right around the corner, as well as two grocery stores, plus La Grande Epicerie (Le Bon Marche's food hall). There were a number of other businesses in the area as well, including restaurants and patisseries, although we didn't get to them.
  
  The only drawback is that this building does not have an elevator, but we knew that going in. It was only difficult when we arrived and had to lug our suitcases up the stairs.
  
  The apartment itself was very comfortable, with the bath area separate from the toilet and two separate sleeping areas - a small bedroom and a pullout sofa. The kitchen is more of a kitchenette, with a 2-burner stove, small fridge, and combo microwave/grill oven. We cooked several dinners there.
  
  What I loved about this place is the wireless internet connection, and having a view of the tip of the Eiffel Tower. Sure, it was just the top third of the tower, but something about looking out the window at it every night was very comforting to me, especially as the light show occurred on the hour every night.
  
  The experience with Vacation in Paris was flawless as well. I received the keys very early (I was traveling to other locations before my arrival in Paris) and the information received with the key and through e-mail was helpful. There was also additional info in the apartment - we just wished the instructions for using the washer/dryer were more thorough. The welcome bottle of wine was a nice touch as well.
  
  I recently returned the keys and got an e-mail confirmation, as well as a refund of the key deposit.
  
  Next time I'd like to stay in the 7th arr. (we booked a little last minute this time), but this unit proved to be ultra convenient! The experience with VIP was great as well.
