Powderwood Park City, Utah
Additional Location Information
Park City, Utah is a vibrant, lively and thriving mountain town, just 35 minutes east of Salt Lake City International Airport. This highly accessible winter (and summer!) destination town is home to the yearly Sundance Film Festival and was a host of the Salt Lake City 2002 Olympic Winter Games. As you make your way to Historic Main Street in the heart of downtown Park City, you will observe the easily recognizable and world-class mountain resorts: Canyons Resort, Park City Mountain Resort and Deer Valley Ski Resort. The big 3 resorts in Park City were all named by SKI Magazine readers to be among the Top 10 resorts in Western North America. Deer Valley took home the #2 spot, Park City Mountain Resort was awarded the #5 ranking and Canyons Resort was named the #10 resort. This September, Outside Magazine rated Park City, Utah the #1 ski town resort of all time.
Park City is one of the top travel destinations in North America and much of the United States for skiers, snowboarders and families, who are searching for the “Best Snow on Earth”. Apart from the wintertime of skiing, snowboarding and the Sundance Film Festival, the summer time is also filled with activity. Outdoor concerts, hiking through the Wasatch National Forest, sightseeing from the top of Empire Pass, golfing at one (or all) of the pristine local courses are a regular occurrence in the neighborhood and what Park City locals enjoy everyday.
Historic Park City Main Street is a prosperous business district that offers endless access to local and luxury mountain experiences. If you are looking to enjoy an original dining experience at any one of Park City’s restaurants and breweries, immerse yourself in the arts and cultural venues or spend some time shopping the boutiques, Park City’s Main Street is such a place. Historic Main Street also offers access to numerous art galleries, a variety of activities for recreation and signature events year-round.
The possibilities are endless and we hope this guide proves useful for any organized or open-ended plans that you may have during your visit. Marquee events in the town include the sensational Sundance Film Festival, Park City Arts Festival, Savor the Summit and the Tour of Utah (stage[s]) with other seasonal local favorites’ like Park Silly Sunday Market, July 4th Parade, Miner’s Day Parade and Howl-a-Ween in October.

Although we had a great time & the condo was more than sufficient for our trip, it didn't go without problems. First the bath mats. They were great to stand on, but don't try to turn on them. My son did and fell cutting his head open & required 6 staples. We did get in contact with "Laura" that said they would look at them, hopefully they removed them. The other incident, was the 2nd early morning, we are asleep & hear water dripping. My daughter got up to investigate only to find the sprinklers went off & it was aimed directly in the bedroom window! Again notified "Laura" that said she would ask the HOA to adjust the sprinklers that they had no control over that. If that's the case, a note should be left that stated the watering schedule & to close the windows during that time. Overall, we enjoyed our stay & would stay there again but would remove any bath mat & ask the watering schedules. Read more
Thank you for choosing to stay with us at our Powderwood property in Park City and for sharing your feedback. We are pleased to hear that the condo was comfortable, spacious and well suited for your trip, but we are again sorry to hear that someone slipped and fell. I followed-up and spoke with Laura and she shared with me some of your communications. From emails, we were informed that John, your husband, was the one who slipped and there was no mention of stiches or staples.
Regardless, we are sorry that it happened at all and relieved to know that you still had a great time and would stay at Powderwood Park City again. Laura did notify the HOA about the sprinklers, but because of county regulations, there are only specific times that they can water the grounds. Thus, we have included this detail in our check-in information, so that future Guests are aware.
Thank you again for your review and business. We look forward to your next visit.

Close to Park City, quiet, mostly below ground, no view

The picture of the rooms must have been taken with a wide angle lense. It looks bigger and brighter in the picture than it is in reality. The space was comfortable, the beds were comfortable.
The condo is half underground. When they say you can eat outside, I envisioned sitting on a patio and overlooking the mountains. The patio is 4 feet below ground with a cement wall around, and the upper part looks at the cars in the parking log. That was disappointing.
The recreation center looks wonderful from the outside. When I tried to enter, I couldn't because there was a key broken in the lock. I was able to get in because there was a large space between the door and the jam, and I used the key the way you'd use a screwdriver to slide the lever back.
There weren't enough towels for 4 people to have a towel to shower and one for the hot tub.
It took a while to find the hot tub. It would have been nice if they had left directions. It's outside, which is lovely.
The pool is outside and summer only. The ad didn't mention that.
I don't recommend this condo for a romantic getaway, for older travelers. It isn't luxurious. You have to walk down stairs to get to the entrance, it wouldn't be good for people with disabilities.
It was quiet, which was wonderful.
Cozy, clean, and very comfortable. I felt like it was my own hom

My sister, brother in law and boyfriend rented this place the last weekend of Sundance. What a great deal and price for the location of this condo. I definitely will be going back. The condo had everything you need for a fun filled weekend of skiing and snowboarding. We cooked at home one night and the place had all the amenities we needed. I felt like it was my own home. I would definitely recommend this place and will be staying here again. Beautiful, relaxing, clean and well maintained. Centrally located to the resorts, downtown Main street, restaurant and stores. Thank you for choosing to stay with us at our Powderwood Resort property in Park City and for sharing your feedback.
We are very pleased to hear that you found the property to feel like home; that is very much our intention and what we strive for. It is fantastic to know that the home had everything your group needed for cooking, relaxing and having a great time in Park City. We work diligently to maintain each property and are committed to deep cleaning each home following every Guest. Sundance is definitely a perfect time to visit if you plan to ski and snowboard most of the time. It is usually the case that less people are at the resorts riding while the Sundance Film Festival is going on.
Thank you again for your business and detailed review. We look forward to your return to Park City and hope that you will choose to stay with us once again.
