Orange, CaliforniaGreat Family Home
Left on 11/26/2012 for a stay in November 2012
We were pleasantly surprised by this family friendly home. Our family (which consisted of one 17 year old, one 18 month old, one pregnant momma, and the rest adults) had a great time this past Thanksgiving weekend. The home has plenty of room for everyone to relax and not be on top of each other. We even had a successful Thanksgiving dinner for 10 including turkey and tofurky. The grounds are lovely - our granddaughter enjoyed picking up acorns and going up and down the easy steps in the backyard. All the beds were very comfortable, the hot water held up with plenty of showers, and the kitchen was fully stocked. All in all, a great time.

As we drove around the neighborhood, we were slightly disappointed. But, as it turned it, everything was perfect! The house is great for 4 couples! The close proximity to the fairgrounds was awesome, we walked over!
Everyone enjoyed the garden, weather in July, everything! -

San Diego, CABirthday weekend celebration
Left on 03/01/2012 for a stay in November 2011
It was my best friend's birthday so a group of 12 arranged a weekend of wine tasting and fun. This 4 bedroom with a bonus room (pull out futon in TV room downstairs) was a good fit for us. While all 12 of us were able to squeeze in I would say 10 people is more ideal for this house unless the extra 2-4 are kids then it would accommodate nicely if the kids stayed w parents int he master suites. There are two bedrooms upstairs and they share a bathroom. There are two much larger master suites w bathrooms downstairs with a bonus TV room located there. The bedrooms downstairs have electric fireplaces which is needed in the winter as this part of the house seemed to be a newer addition and does not have the central heating so the fireplaces heat the rooms and kept them very warm. This house was a great location as it was within a 10 minute walking distance of downtown Paso. The grounds were very nice and located on a quiet street. The house was nicely equipped in the kitchen and amenities. We would definitely stay here again! Nice house.

The home is beautiful. We loved having the large patio area for our BBQ and relaxing outside. The house is well kept and the location is great - within walking distance of downtown. It was perfect for a group. Highly recommended.

CaliforniaComfy, clean rental with a view
Left on 02/24/2011 for a stay in February 2011
We have stayed at the cottage several times and we love it. Everything you could possibly need is in the kitchen, the beds are comfy, and it is a great place for a group of people as there is plenty of space to move around. Kathy, the owner/manager, is great and I would rent this place again in a heartbeat (and will.)

Everything was great and met our needs and expectations for the price. We would have liked more towels...4 days with the same bath towel is a bit too long.

Los Angeles, CAGreat Birthday weekend in Paso Robles!
Left on 09/18/2009 for a stay in September 2009
We had 12 people in this house for the weekend and we had a great time on the property and in the house itself. There are so many different rooms and areas that we never felt crowded and there was plenty of sleeping accomodations as well. We used the 2 BBQ's and ate outside under the stars. We walked in to town to enjoy the local restuarants, bars and shops. I highly reccomend this rental and would use it again on future trips.

Hacienda Heights, CaWedding Weekend
Left on 09/08/2009 for a stay in September 2009
We loved the cottage. The theme to our wedding was French Country and the cottage was a perfect backdrop for our stay. The wedding party loved it... we had so much fun. It accommodated everyone perfectly. Our only concern was the neighborhood. The neighbors across the street got very rowdy. They were standing outside scoping out the cottage and what we were doing. There was also a civil dispute the following day right across the street. They were cursing at each other and chased each other down the street talking about drugs and not bringing them home. It all got very scary. Aside from the neighbor disturbance, the cottage was great. We did have to go out to buy some dish detergent and hand soap as the bottles in the cottage were really low - other than that... it was fine.
Thank you :) -

Coalinga, CAThe Stay at the Cottage
Left on 09/01/2009 for a stay in August 2009
We rented the Cottage on Capitol Hill because our son was getting married that week-end at the Robert Hall Winery. Our children & parents were able to stay with us at the cottage because of the amount of bedrooms. We had the rehearsal dinner in the backyard and was very happy with the set-up. The only downfall was the weather and of course that couldn't be helped. But the bottom level of the house didn't have any air condtioning and it was extremely hot all night long both nights. Our family members that were on that level were pretty miserable both nights even with the doors & windows open. I would rent this property again but not during the summer months unless air conditioning was installed on the bottom level.

Sacramento, CaA Beautiful Home
Left on 06/23/2009 for a stay in June 2009
The Cottage at Capitol Hill is a beautiful and relaxing place to stay, and Kathy is extremely helpful and friendly. And you can't beat the convenience and ease of this home. We were in town for a wedding, and wanted a home that was close to the downtown area, so we could easily make it to the wedding events. Cottage at Capitol Hill was more than we could hope close to town, yet so calm.

Anaheim Hills, CAPaso Robles is a Desirable Destination
Left on 06/16/2009 for a stay in June 2009
Our group of nine agreed the Cottage on Capital Hill was perfect for our weekend visit to Paso Robles to attend a family wedding. Initially, we were disturbed with the surrounding neighborhood. However, the size, decor, cleanliness, comfort and charm of the property quickly won us over. We appreciated the large well stocked kitchen...pans, dishes, glassware and cooking tools. Everyone loved sitting at the kitchen table and visiting. The outdoor landscaping and view is lovely. We enjoyed coffee outside in the morning and the gentlemen enjoyed wine and cigars in the evening. The bedrooms are comfortable. We were grateful to discover two water heaters for the three nice bathrooms. We hope to return with a large group for a wine tour.

We had a lovely time. There was room for the whole family. Kasey, our daughter was getting married and the downstairs room/family room was the perfect place for the bridal party to get ready. The next morning we had a brunch outside that was wonderful. We look forward to our next stay at the Cottage. Thank you!!!

Left on 03/22/2009 for a stay in March 2009
This was a last minute group trip for a birthday celebration and everything was perfect. The house had great common rooms for all of us to sit comfortably and the bedrooms provided enough space and privicy for everyone. The owner Kathy made the entire process easy and I would recommend other friends and family to stay there on their next trip to Paso.

Walnut Creek, CANew Year's in Paso Robles
Left on 01/19/2009 for a stay in January 2009
The house was beautifully maintained and decorated - perfect for 4 couples looking for a little getaway for New Year's Eve. We planned to eat in on that night and were delighted to see the dining table had special candles and festive decorations arranged by the owner. The kitchen was spacious enough for multiple chefs. All the bedrooms had lovely furnishings and two are extremely large. The grounds have several sitting areas, on multiple levels, allowing for enough private space for everyone. We went to Morro Bay on New Year's Day, and toured the local wineries the following day-a perfect holiday! We hope to go back in another season and will definitely recommend this rental to family and friends.

Left on 12/03/2008 for a stay in November 2008
The light-filled home is charming and extremely comfortable. We spent Thanksgiving and the entire setting had a Rockwell feel to it, particularly the spacious dining room. The kitchen couldn't have been better supplied. The bedrooms were spacious, the bathrooms, as well...with great hot showers. Aside from the house being perfect, the grounds and view were lovely as well. But it was the extra touches that made the stay so delightful: fresh flowers in the kitchen and living room, a welcome-to-our-home bottle of wine. It's all in the details and the owner did not miss one. Thank you.
