Stayed in the Sunset house in the middle of October. It was cold enough in the morning and at night to sit outside in front of the fireplace, but warm enough during the day to go canoeing. I am a photographer and took so many pictures here. It is such a beautiful location. I had some models with me, and we used this location for a bridal shoot. (see attached photo)
I loved that it was just 15 minutes from the beach, but also far enough from the city to be peaceful. This is a great place for a wedding. I loved it here, and will be going back at least once a year. -

We really enjoyed our fall break getaway at the New Getaway. The owners made the reservation process easy, and the house was beautiful with a gorgeous view overlooking the bay. We brought our boat and used the boat launch provided conveniently across the street to go fishing. Even closer than we expected to the beautiful beach and the historic homes, we were able to take an evening walk and watch the sunset. We enjoyed grilling steaks on the bbq pit, and we ate by the outdoor fireplace. The pools are beautiful, although it was too cool when we went to be able to swim. My nephew loved the kids' area play equipment in the park. We took the short drive to Biloxi one night to eat at a restaurant. We enjoy taking frequent trips to the Gulf Coast, and this one was definitely the best bang for our buck! With lots to do on site and a convenient location to much more, the New Getaway offers the versatility for those who want to do nothing on vacation and those looking for an adventure.

Our famiy had a most enjoyable stay at The Sunset. This was our second trip to The Sunset. With two very active teenagers we take advantage of the many ammenties available. Fishing & crabing off the piers,swimming, putt putt and bbqing under the pavillion at the Pelican Park(few feet away). Casinos, sunsets off the balcony and relaxing while viewing the lovely scenery are a few reasons we will be looking forward to returning to our New Getaway.
