Description from the owner
Absolutely right on the beach at the north end of Paternoster is our house, Ceol na Mara - Irish for Music of the Waves - and its adjoining flatlet - Ceoleen (Little Music). Ceol na Mara sleeps up to six and is a double volume house with a gallery bedroom, garden, balcony and outdoor braai area. Ceoleen is attached to the main house and sleeps up to four. We've made sure that both properties are fully equipped, including hair driers, Hi-Fi and TV/DStv. Heating is by the cosy wood burning stove and electric panels.

Our initial booking was handled in a very professional manner, as was our check in on arrival. The location being so close to the beach was fantastic and ideal for walking and sunset photography. Accommodation was clean, well equipped and comfortable.

Cape TownCeoleen - great value, a cosy, well equipped flatlet just behind
Left on 03/16/2013 for a stay in March 2013
This our second stay in Ceoleen and we plan to return soon!! It represents excellent value for money accommodation for two. Situated behind Ceol na Mara, it's just a few paces from the unspoilt Paternoster beach (Mosselbank). Although the flat is situated behind the main house, it is an upstairs flat so the beach view is visible from the (small) bedroom windows.
The flat is well equipped down to a small portable braai and firewood!
Where does it lack then?
-No oven (two plate stove only)
-No bath (shower only)
But for us these shortcomings are more than outweighed by all the plusses! -

Ampthill, UKFabulous location, five star accomodation
Left on 01/15/2013 for a stay in January 2012
Spent five nights at Ceol na Mara and Ceoleen during a trip to visit relatives in Cape Town in January 2012. Just a two hour drive from Cape Town and what a fabulous location, right on the beach. Both properties are clean, spacious and very well equipped. The downstairs bedroom and bathroom were particularly good for my 81 year old father in law.
A good selection of local restaurants and a coffee shop/bistro, all within walking distance if you're so inclined. Plus there is a BBQ (braii) on the terrace overlooking the beach.
Would definitely recommend, especially if you are from the Northern Hemisphere and looking for somewhere to chill out and relax and enjoy the South african summer when it's freezing back home. -

Cape Town & ChichesterExcellent position for beach and muscle rocks.
Left on 01/09/2013 for a stay in December 2012
We had our second Christmas at Ceol na Mara & Ceoleen; swam every day, bought crayfish straight from the boats, collected muscles from the rocks at Spring low, sundowners on the beach, braais on the patio, etc.
Jan is a rock for local advice and backup.
Lunch at the Vishuis, Veldrif, is a regular must for us. -

A little piece of heaven right here on earth and only about 10m away from the beach as well! The house has everything that is needed and the agent very friendly and efficient. Can definitely recommend this.

Cape TownOne of our favourite getaways
Left on 11/26/2012 for a stay in June 2012
We have been to Ceol na Mara at least 6 times and have a fantastic time every time. The house has a great layout and opens up nicely to the beach. One of our favourite aspects is the small lawn in front of the house, it's perfect to lay about on as an alternative to the sand. The decor is 'beach style' and comes across fresh and 'holiday'. The house has all the facilities one needs and the management are always super friendly and helpful should you need anything extra.

I enjoyed the fact that the house is right on the beach. The braai and enclosed garden are also draw cards. You can lie in bed and watch the sea. At night enjoyed playing board games
