Very nice apartment in a quiet area

Left on 03/20/2013 for a stay in February 2013

We were so happy to have found such a beautiful resort in such a quiet area.
The place looked quite new, with new fittings and decorations, was in a very clean condition, very well looked after, and we found the bathrooms and toilets well sanitized.
We arrived in this quiet area after a week spent in Bangkok in a very busy hotel, which we found to be very noisy, and the traffic insupportable.
It was a relief to find such a quiet accommodation in such a nice area, for just a fraction of the price we paid in the big city.
Phv Condo has been recommended to us by our best friends, who have also spend a week here, and they found it delightful.
A few features attracted our attention and help us decide to stay there, firstly the self-catering, which we knew about and suited us very well, as we were traveling with our 3 ½ year old son, who preferred his mother’s cooking to Thai cuisine.
Being able to cook was a big bonus, also the relative remoteness of the accommodation, away from the hustle and bustle of the big city we found very comforting.
The place is very close to the beautiful beach, only 10 minute walk, where we could also do our shopping and dining out.
For a few dollars, my husband took 5 minutes with a taxi to go a play a round of golf, while I was walking the little one down the beach.
A big thank you to the guys at PHV Condo for looking after us and making sure we had such a pleasant stay.

      Not right for us

Left on 01/07/2013 for a stay in December 2012

The several self-catering condo flats that Scott Riefler is advertising are fairly new and rather nice, provided that you don’t mind being 1.7 km from the beach and 2.4 km from Big C, the only supermarket (US$15 to $20 round trip by taxi or tuk-tuk). Also provided that you’re able to bring along, or willing to procure locally, toilet paper, soaps, towels, salt and pepper, drinking water and a lot of the other expendables you’d expect to find at a hotel or B&B. The wi-fi signal ebbs and flows almost randomly, but the hard-wired cable is trouble-free. Laundry service is reliable and cheap. The pool is very nice. Plumbing backed up twice in our bathroom (A-103) during our 11 night stay & management’s attitude was that we must have caused it. Management is obsessive about inventory. We reported finding a broken steak knife in the flat; management nearly melted down when we refused to pay for it. Bottom line: this place makes sense for stays of several months and if you have your own transportation, but not for a visit of a fortnight or less.

We are locatted 650 meters from the beach and 2 kilometers from Junceylon. 2 kilos, to the largest mall on the island is a great location and your making it sound like it's far. Motorcycle taxis are 50 baht ($1.33) outside in the taxi booth and tuk tuks are 300($9.00) thb fixed price is you go 50 feet or 5 kilos. There are also bike rentals just 300 feet away for less then 100 thb($3.00) a day. The big thing you missed about our location is that you can get good sleep at night. You don't hear bar noise untill 5 am in our location like other hotels or apartments in Patong. The toilet backing up was caused by excess toilet paper being flushed down the toilet. People that stay here awhile know not to flush excessive TP in the toilets. Asian toilets are not same as our western std. I've had many customers stay in that exact same unit without ever having a problem. Our units are self catering that means you have to be responsibe for your towels and tolitries. Thats what self catering means. Our advertising and selling price reflects that we are not a hotel or B&B and the services and level of catering are different. I believe you booked with us because our rates were lower and expected the same leve of service as a hotel. We rent condos here for long stay tourists and our level of services reflex that.

      Had a great time there!

Left on 05/03/2012 for a stay in December 2011

The place was clean, the units very clean, the cleaning staff was amazing, and most importantly, the front office lady went the extra mile to accommodate guests and make sure everything runs smoothly. The location is in a small remote area, which makes it peaceful, but at the same time, it is a convenient short bike ride to the super market and major beaches. People living there and visiting there were also very pleasant – I got invited to a few of there Bbqs! I recommend staying in a studio if you are by yourself (or young couple / it’s enough), and a 2 bedroom unit if a family.

Absolutely brilliant manager and wonderful staff...make our stay

Left on 03/17/2012 for a stay in March 2012

We have been here for 5 days. We are staying another 3 weeks. And this place is everything that I expected. The two bedroom apartment is exactly as described to us and although it is light-on for cutlery - everything that is needed for an enjoyable holiday is here. The apartment is modern, and well maintained - on arrival we had a bit of a challenge with a toilet constantly running...but the following afternoon a plumber was in our bathroom for several hours and completely replaced the innards of the cistern... the toilet now operates perfectly.
Danni on the front desk, the night guard, and Scott the manager were all very helpful prior to our arrival and I cannot put into sufficient words how helpful they have been

The only down-side is probably the dusty road that leads up to the apartments from the main road... you need to traverse it to get to the main road to hail a taxi...I can only imagine what it would be like if it was wet )and fortunately it has not been wet yet). Danni gave me the telephone number for a local taxi operator who comes and picks us up from the front door whenever needed. Again this is Bt200 into Patong (anywhere).

There are several little Thai restaurants within a few minutes walk and laundry is able to be left at the front office should you wish. Apart from that there are several laundries within walking distance.

200BT (about $6 australian dollars) will get you a taxi into town or a Tuk Tuk. The same fare applies coming back. Be sure to make the driver understand where he is going..

The Wi-Fi works perfectly and is complimentary.

By the way this place is high enough to give you peace of mind with respect to Tsunami issues.

I did not think I would wait to write a review in 3 weeks time, because I believe my view of this wonderful little place will not change.

Nice swimming Pool and fun times in Patong Beach

Left on 02/01/2010 for a stay in December 2009

I stayed in a Studio In C building with my Girlfriend Noi. Room had Satellite TV with Noi liked. Maybe about 60 channels of Thai TV. I working on my laptop around the swimming pool. Internet service was pretty fast and reliable about 98% of the time. Room was decorated nice and rent was fair price for high season. Swimming pool is one of the nicer ones in Phuket. Overall for a condo rental the group was pretty much on the ball.
