This house has a great layout and could accommodate a large group. We rent ocean front beach houses a couple times a year and were a bit disappointed in the way this house was decorated. A lot of the furniture and decorations were extremely outdated and really "hodgepodged together". Only two Tv's in the entire house, none in bedrooms. This house could be so much more if it just had a little TLC and someone to "freshen it up". Great beach location, no long walk down the walkway here. In high tide the waves are right at the deck steps.

Pawleys Island offers a beautiful and tranquil setting. Especially in the off season. Our stay began the first week in November, a time you would think the beach was cold and desolate. On the contrary, the weather was perfect 70's during the day and 50 to 60's at night. My family was able to fish, kayak, the water temp. was a bit chilly. Dolphin- View was perfect for my family the layout of the house is very accommodating to large families, with two levels of entertainment room and bedrooms. The location was far enough away from civilization, but close enough for convenience.

We had rented another big house and had a problem with the Lachicotte company and I wrote a review. They posted the negative review and were considering a change in their procedures. They helped me find a new rental which was this one and we could not be more satisfied. This place is laid out perfect for a family with plenty of grandkids. We will be back next year.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience staying at Dolphin View. Besides the beach experience, we fished,crabbed,kayaked and enjoyed the local atmosphere at restaurants nearby. We shopped, made good use of the large kitchen,sat and observed pawleys life on the multiple decks front and ocean view. Hopefully, in the near future , we can return and continue our experiences.

We came down for a 3 day weekend at the last minute. Lachicotte was wonderful to work with. Loved the house. Wonderful views, especially from the upstairs. House had lots of windows. Comfortable and large bedrooms. Would like to have had a hammock and better rocking chairs for the porch but otherwise the amenities were great.

This was our 9th stay at Pawleys Island in the past 11 years. The south end of the island is just outstanding, with the ocean out one side and the creek dock out the other. Between us we have 7 kids ranging in age from 3 to 20, and it just couldn't be better for all ages. We are quite active with running, biking, kayaking, and just living on the beach. We pretty much only leave to go to the grocery store! The house is huge with two nice living areas and a great kitchen (you can see the ocean and the creek side from the kitchen). We had minor problems with air conditioning condensation and the dish washer, but nothing is perfect, and these were addressed quickly - they certainly this didn't detract from our vacation.

Rental co. response was good to requests made concerning exterminator and missing sheets. We complained about 1 bed not being made up but actually there were 2 that were missing sheets. Grandchildren did not disclose lack of sheets until we were unmaking the beds on Sun.! We paid for all beds to be made up. The only complaint I have about the house is that for a house with the occupancy level of Dolphin View, there are not enough dishes ( 8 Plates, 6 cups ) or large pots and pans with lids to accomodate the guests staying there. It also could have been a little cleaner. Otherwise, we loved the house, having stayed there last year as well

Seven friends and I recently spent a week at Dolphin View, the third time we've been to that particular house. We love walking the beach, sitting in the sun, reading on the porch, and watching the moon rise over the ocean. It's a relaxing and comfortable time in a house that very well meets our needs. With only a few minor inconveniences (shower curtain that allows flooding, dearth of coffee cups, no wi-fi), we spend hours with good company eating local seafood, enjoying a remarkable view, and falling asleep to the sound of the waves. It doesn't get better than that.
