Our stay at ShoreBroke was one of the most enjoyable and relaxing beach trips that we have taken. The home was perfectly situated for privacy and nicely furnished. We loved the steps in front because they were so easy to climb when loading and unloading things. The layout of the interior worked well for our two couples and the convenience of stores and restaurants was great. We hope to return again.

Wow!! What a great vacation we had! We chose our stay at Shore Broke for our intimate wedding on the beach so we could have our dog as our ring bearer!! Everyone loved the location of the house...a walk away from the Litchfield restaurants! The view of the ocean is beautiful, shared by two of the bedrooms. The master room was a perfect size with great windows. We loved the enclosed porch for mornings and evenings with everyone. The kitchen was perfectly equipped with necessities, and the long dining room table sat the 10 of us perfectly! The beds were all comfortable. I was very happy with the house. We decided to do the linen package, which was super convenient for us. We definitely could have used bigger bathrooms on the other hand. One bathroom had a tub and shower, while the bathroom off of the master had a very small sized stand-up shower. Despite the bathrooms which were to be desired, we would do it all over again at Shore Broke!!

Shorebroke for us is the perfect beach home rental. It's the perfect size and location for our family. It has great features and amenities. The only critique would be that the kitchen utensils are a little on the sparse side and the undercabinet ice maker was not working at all and the dishwasher was reported as not working properly. A tech came out for the DW but never fully repaired during our stay.

I was worried the pictures of ShoreBroke on the web wouldn't be accurate...I was wrong to worry, it was lovely. Check-in was a breeze...Location/amenities were tops...The seven of us had an absolutely wonderful vacation...The beds were comfortable, especially the king...my only negative comment is that the white slipcovers on the couch and 2 chairs could have used a good spot cleaning--what else could you expect---they were white and in a rental house---not practical but they sure were cute. Wonderful location, comfortable and clean. The bathrooms were too small especially if the house was full. Also, there needs to be some kind of full length mirror in the house. The bathroom mirrors were not adequate. There were some ants in the kitchen, that needs to be addressed. The ice machine did not work either. We had a great time and the living areas and decks were fantastic.

We have rented this home 2 years and enjoy its location, amenities, and fair value. It has been in good shape each time, the house has been redone and the only issue is the size of the bathrooms. Overall, it provides a wonderful location and beach experience. The Dieter Company that handles the rental has been a very cooperative group to work with. We will be back.

This week at the beach has always been incredibly special for our family. My biggest hang up was the house has shown some serious wear. For an ocean front home that has been wonderfully refurbished it had seen a rough summer. Broken shutters, holes in the wall, outlets exposed, stains on the carpets. A little mid season TLC would have made the home a 5. I guess I expected the house to live up to its previous years appearance.

Jeff thanks for your comments. The owner was in the house this past week and we have been working with her to have all of the above mentioned items repaired. Additionally the carpets are being professionally steamed cleaned and the housekeeper has been replaced. We do look forward to seeing you again next year!

First of all the Dieter Company is a fantastic rental agency to work with. They are very kind people and they make the entire process simple and straight forward.
We were limited to the house we could rent in the area we were looking to stay specifically, because of having a small dog, but as luck would have it we were able to find something very late in the season that exactly fit our needs and it turned out to be wonderful in all ways!
We rented "Shore Broke" which sits right in the middle of South Litchfield Beach, our favorite area in that stretch of beaches. The house is a typical 4 bedroom A frame one floor set up with 2 full adjoining bathrooms upstairs and a half bath in the down stairs area. This was the perfect size for 6 people plus 1 dog and a baby. The house was renovated recently and was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was large as well as the living room area and dining area. The best part about the house was the light streaming in and view of the ocean. We loved the easy access to the beach each day and having an out door shower. Our only complaint was the lack of comfortable outdoor furniture and this included the front screened in porch. They need some loungers and chairs that have some padding as this was the best place to sit most of the day and evening when not on the beach. The location of Shore Broke is perfect and close to shops, restaurants and the Dieter company. Fishing is plentiful down the beach at a beautiful inlet just a 25 minute beach walk south. By beach bike 10 minutes. This was our favorite area to go to daily. The tides come in and out in this area so be prepared, but it is a magical area at sunset. Litchfield beach is very dog friendly, very clean and has amazing sand and clear water. The people that visit here are all super nice and low key. I can't say enough about this place or the location except that you and your dog will love it. Thank you Dieter company for helping make our vacation so wonderful! -

Shore Broke is a beautiful, nicely renovated house
in a terrific location. My son ended up being sick
in bed for 3 days but the gorgeous living room and
new tv's made it comfortable when we were stuck in
the house. Beds were very comfortable, kitchen is
spacious, living room is a terrific space that
easily held 2 families with children without
feeling crowded. However, the couches and the
dining room chairs are upholstered in white. We
bought upholstery spot remover but still, the only
place we could all eat was the dining area. We
tried our best to clean up the chairs there but are
afraid we left our mark! A more practical color
for those chairs and the living room upholstery
would have been more relaxing.
A picnic table or other table that could seat more
than 4 on the screened porch would have been nice,
too, as well as more chairs there.
That said, the only reason we're not coming back
next year is because the traffic getting to
Litchfield made the drive rather long, and we're
much closer to other beaches we can get to faster.
We had a great vacation, thanks!
