      Oyster Catcher review

Left on 05/27/2010 for a stay in February 2009

We like everything about 374 Oyster Catcher. Quiet, close to amenities. Dieter Company couldn't be more accommodating.
We have stayed at 374 Oyster Catcher 2 seasons now, from February till May lst.
There are things that need to be done with the house to freshen it up.

      Awesome

Left on 11/06/2009 for a stay in March 2009

Jeff and Mary stayed for March and April of 2009.
We always get the best service from Jacque Mosley. We have come to think of her as a family member.
We liked this home - the space. Perfect for having family members come and visit. Very comfortable surroundings. I used the sunroom area as my sewing room. I am a quilter so loved this area for doing my quilt tops - bright and great views. We had a problem with a skylight while we were there and it was handled with one phone call.
Can't say enough about the location. Jeff is a golfer so works for him. We love the restaurants and especially enjoy Murrells Inlet. One of our favourite spots is the Hot Fish Club.
Last year we did not have internet but Jacque told us it would be there this year - we used the coffee shop at Litchfield.
The location I think is what we like best. Quiet, beautiful beaches - the temperatures.

The Master bedroom upstairs does not have a screen slider for the glass slider. We would really like to have this screen put in place. We like to have the door open at night. There is a ceiling fan in the master bedroom but we did not like to use it.
We made good use of the barbacue - great spot to sit and watch the sun set.
We thank you for this review and are looking forward to being back in S.C. February, March and April of 2010

      374 Oyster Catcher 08 review

Left on 11/26/2008 for a stay in July 2008

My wife, Mom, Stepdad and my brother and his wife stayed a week July 2008 and enjoyed a great week of beach and relaxation. we especially appreciate the open floor plan with plenty of light which also affords an excellent view of the lake. however there are a few issues we will pass along: 1) why such a small frig? 2) for the second year I noticed the air vent filter looked as if it had not been changed for months 3) we checked in a there were two or more bulbs that were not working(we bought new ones as we assumed it would take hours or days to get replacements from the rental office), including one in the parking area below 4) the gas grill was little more than adequate and took much too long to cook for 6 people 5) we saw palmetto bugs scampering through one or more of the bathrooms and 6) one of more of the blinds were either broken or one end loose or competely pulled out from the wall. All these are somewhat minor, but in my opinion someone should do a walk through before allowing guests to check in. It says volumes about the rental company who would allow the little things listed above to reflect on the property and owners. Someone wrote that customer service is dead in the U.S. so get over it. maybe that is more true than many of us would like to believe.

      Beautiful rooftop views !

Left on 10/29/2008 for a stay in July 2008

This house was very roomy and comfortable. It was tastefully decorated
and well furnished. The outdoor furniture was molded however, as well as the pillows and cushions on the porch furniture.
We did experience some maintenance problems - the ice maker wasn't working and it was not fixed while we were there the week- and the light on the outside
entry steps was burned out which was inconvient as we arrived after dark and
could not see to go up the long staircase to the door. It was replaced
      later the next day.
Other than the afore mentioned, the house was a relaxing experience. It was a little further from the beach than expected but fine if you have bicycles.

Our family reunion headquarters was this property and it was
just terrific. Would defiinitely go back. First Class all the way,
and surprisingly from other rentals we have used....all of the
      appliances worked!!!!
