This house was really nice for our family as the grandparents stayed in the master suite downstairs and the two families stayed upstairs in the Jack and Jill style rooms on either side. The 2 kids rooms had single beds that were terrible as you could feel the springs poking out but our kids are 6ys-2ys and never complained. I would not consider putting an adult in those beds. The house is large and nicely furnished. It is too far to walk to the beach with small children but we drove to the beach and never had a problem parking (3rd week in June). Rented bikes and enjoyed the trail that is very close by. Beaches were perfect. We had a few issues with door knobs and wireless access and the Dieter Co was very quick to address all of our concerns.

Great house to get my scattered children and grandchildren together for a week. We enjoyed our stay at Deetjen. The house was roomy, comfortable, clean and convienent.
I especially enjoyed the quiet retreat of the front porch rockers when I needed to escape from the business and noise of 3 young families.
The neighborhood was very pleasant to walk or bike through. People were friendly and kind.
We were close enough to walk to the beach, and were able to find parking the times someone needed to ride.
I would like to use this same location again. -

My family thorougly enjoyed our stay at the Deetjen. It was very spacious, very updated and very clean. There were 10 of us staying there and we had 6 other family members who were staying in a condo nearby, come join us for dinner each night. There was plenty of room and seating to accomodate all 16 of us. We also loved the large screened in porch on the back. We spent our evenings sitting out there. There was a little bit of a hike to the beach, but we rented a golf cart, which the kids loved, and that made the commute more convenient and lots of fun. The only thing lacking in the house was a kitchen trash can and a dust pan. We noted that on our comments to the Dieter Co. when we left. We would definitely rent this house again.

Lovely spacious home -- great for family gathering. Large dining table was wonderful for everyone to dine together. Bedrooms large and roomy. Kitchen fairly well equipped. Could use more serving bowls.
Could use more lamps in sitting areas -- especially living room area near fireplace and upstairs TV area at top of stairs. The blue bedroom upstairs with twin beds could use better mattresses. They were okay for small children, but not for adults. That room has a broken handle on the blind that needs repaired. Also, it needs a new alarm clock in that room -- the one there doesn't work.
Two recommendations for owner: Having a golf cart for renters to use would be a wonderful addition. We had four small grandchildren (ages 2-5) who struggled with the walk to the beach.
Also -- it would be nice to have WI-FI for computer users. We were on vacation, but wanted to check out things on our computer but were unable to do so.
These are just suggestions -- overall our visit was delightful. We would definitely rent this home again!
Dieter Company gave good service and clean accomodations. We'll be back! -

Gorgeous Modern Beach House

It is beautifully furnished and modern. Very spacious and comfortable. A great place to entertain guests. The beds and couches were very comfortable. Everyone was impressed with the home. The only complaint I have is that there needs to be more televisions. Three televisions is not enough for 12 guests. The other bedrooms should have modest sized televisions for a rainy day. Overall, I love the house and will rent it again next year!

Great for family get togethers

The Deetjen had everything we needed for our family get together. Plenty of bedrooms and baths to easily sleep 10 without putting anyone on the sofas. Large open floor plan was great for visiting with everyone and we actually hosted several dinners in the evening with up to 16 parents and children. Gas grill and large fully outfitted kitchen made entertaining a breese. Distance to the beach was not an issue since we rented a couple of golf carts for our beach transportation. No doubt, we'll be back at the Deetjen.
