Located on the creek at South Litchfield Beach, this wonderful home has spectacular views of the creek and salt marsh, and you have fishing, crabbing and boating available from your private dock on the water. This 5 bedroom, 3 and ½ bath home is full of fun and wonderful extras.The ground area is where you will find the laundry room, ½ bath, and enclosed outside shower. Also on the ground area you have picnic tables, rocking chairs, hammocks, a joggling board, wood burning fireplace, grill, fish cleaning sink, crab traps, kayaks and more. What a great house and a good mix of old and new. Well furnished for a large group. Beautiful view of the marsh. Great toys with the house ping pong, kayaks. Great fire place downstairs under house, outside shower, and dock. My only recommendation may be a shower on the top floor instead of tub. Loved this house!!

After 7 years we changed companies that we were dealing with for our vacation rentals. Dieter was the company that we chose based on passing their office while traveling in the Pawleys Island area. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable about the area and really helped us find what we were looking for in a vacation property. They have secured us as customers from now on.
Creekhouse was built in the 60's and is decorated in a manner which you can see how the owners and their friends and family have grown with the house. Extremely inviting and loaded with things to do from watching television/videos, to reading, fishing off the dock, napping to just sitting and not doing anything. The house is beautiful inside and out with awesome views of the back creek.
Numerous restaurants are located in the area providing any type of cuisine you are interested in, even seafood. Pawley's Island Bakery is a must visit for the fresh Danish made every morning. Pastaria 811 is also a must if you like Italian food, scratch sauces, pastas, unbelievable.
The location of the house provides quietness which we have never experienced at the beach. The beach area itself is clean and not crowded; probably 100 people could be seen looking up and down the beach during our stay. If you are lucky you will meet some of the S.C.U.T.E. volunteers, South Carolina United Turtle Enthusiast, who monitor the Loggerhead turtle nest and are extremely knowledgeable. While we were their we got to observe them examine one nest and recover the lone remaining Loggerhead who had not yet made it out of the nest, and we got to see the little critter being released into the ocean to start its life journey.

The house was amazing, the crab traps were missing, they were replaced minutes after calling. The fishing, swimming crabbing kayaking, was a blast! Beautiful home, very well equipped. Will be back!

This was the 29th year we have stayed at the Creek House and for our family it is a home away from home.We look forward to coming back each year. It is a special place enjoyed by adults, children and grandchildren. The owners keep the house updated and Deiter management is superb.

The Creekhouse is our favorite place to stay at S. Litchfield. We have stayed there for several years and have always enjoyed it. We have 8 adults and 4 children. The layout is perfect. There were a couple of issues this year. The ping pong table was gone, and one of the paddles to the kayeks was broken.
The kids were so disappointed. The add list 2 grills (1 gas and 1 charcoal) the gas grill would only work with 1 burner. The air unit was not working upstairs when we arrived but a service man was there in no time to fix it. We always stay in and cook our meals. A few upgrades to the kitchen accessories would be good. Our family has been vacationing at the Creekhouse for about 25 years. It seems like a second home now - very comfortable with plenty of space. We love the location overlooking the marsh, but within close walking distance of Litchfield Beach via the footbridge over the canal.
The Creekhouse has a dock that allows us to launch our kayaks, fish at high tide and go crabbing at low tide. Two single kayaks are provided, along with two hammocks under the deck in the cool shade. Both the deck and the hammocks have wonderful views of the marsh and the birds. There's also a gas grill downstairs, a ping pong table and two picnic tables. Our favorite is the outdoor shower.
We will continue to vacation at the Creekhouse as long as possible. We wouldn't go anywhere else. -

We love the Creekhouse and think of it as our very own for
the time we spend there. The view of the marsh is beautiful
whether inside or out. The deck has comfortable rockers and
chaise lounges, where we enjoy sunbathing, reading or
simply watching the abundant waterfowl. The large kitchen is
very convenient and well appointed for preparing those
special dinners...one of which is always crab cakes. The crab
is caught right off the dock.
The owners provided us with a special treat this year. They
left two kayaks for us and we had a grand time exploring the
marsh, spotting raccoons, fish, turtles and an American Bald
Eagle.
Look forward to next year!

We were so pleasantly surprised to find this house so much more attractive than the photos indicated. Creekhouse has character because the owners have many personal items there - photos and old books and keepsakes, so you feel as if you are a guest in a much-loved place.
The time spent at Creekhouse was during the last week in March and the weather started out warm and clear but soon turned cold, windy and rainy. Being in this cozy retreat with a constantly changing view of the low country was just what we needed to forget about what was going on outside. We were five adults but this place would also be great for families with children. I wish we could have taken the kayak out.
I hated to leave and would love to return. I highly recommend this place for a pleasant vacation.

The Creek House is on the marsh with a boat and fishing dock, but within easy walking distance to Litchfield Beach via the foot bridge. Very quiet, excellent views of the marsh birds, great crabbing. House is laid out well for family enjoyment and kitchen is well equipped with ice maker and an extra refigerator. Lower level has bathroom, washer/dryer and another refigerator. Best value for family fun at Litchfield!
