What a fantastic property! We loved the open floor plan, the large dining room table was perfect to seat everyone - back porch and front porch were both utilized to the fullest, and the walking bridge was very close so we could easily get to the beach! Very comfortable house with all the comforts of home. We will definitely try to rent Wessel the next time we are in Pawley's! Maxine was such a pleasure to work with, too. You have made customers for life - all auburn alums! War Eagle!

Our stay at the Wessel house was great. The house was a perfect layout for a small group of friends to spend the 4th of July week together. The front and back porches were great, and the large picnic-style dining table was a perfect venue to congregate for meals. We also caught a fair amount of blue crab and flounder off the back dock!The only request I'd make to improve the house would be to add flood lights to the back yard. We had a great last night making low-country boil and playing cornhole in the grass, and would've loved some extra light to stay outdoors! Great house, great experience, and Litchfield Real Estate was very accommodating.

Someone may be bringing a cat to the house. I sneezed at night alot. Cat liter buckets were downstairs, and carpet pet cleaner were in the house. If you are allergic to cat hair this would not be the house to rent. Plastic chairs for the porch may help keep roaches off the enclosed porch. They may be hiding in the upholstry. Otherwise it is a very cute house in a very quite lovely spot. It have many TVs and dvd/vcr players. Nice!

Thank you for your review of Wessel! None of our properties are cat-friendly, although the owners did allow a winter renter to bring their dog in this past off-season. That may be why the carpet cleaning "stuff" is there. We're glad you enjoyed your stay, and hope to see you again next year!

The location was great since it was close to the house rented by the rest of my extended family, but that would not be enough to make me rent Wessel again. The house is OK, but compared to others I have stayed rented (at Litchfield and other beaches) it just doesn't match up well. I found the interior too dark, with insufficient space to relax comfortably with the family. On the plus side, the oversized picnic-style dining table was great for getting a big group together for a meal.

The house was more than accommodating and allowed everyone to comfortably relax and enjoy their vacation. The location was not too far and the dock on the inlet provided a nice relaxing break from the beach. The only complaint was the smell which I believe could have been attributed to the laundry room. Otherwise an all around great tim that future beach trips will be compared to.

The Wessel Cottage rental was my family's first vacation house rental experience. The accomodations suited our vacation requirements of comfort, location and affordability in an updated environment. Litchfield Realty was quick to address any concerns.

We loved the house, the layout was really nice. It was super clean when we arrived and having the bed and bath linens provided (with the beds made upon our arrival) really rocked. The bathrooms were large and very clean. The furniture was comfortable and very functional. The fishing dock on the canal gave us lots of fun each evening. It was a quiet location with very little car traffic.

We enjoyed our stay and the only thing that concerned us was all the canals around us. We had to tell the children not to be outside without us, ages 1-9. There were plenty of kitchen dishes, silverware and a big kitchen to work in. Beds were comfortable and the extra Tv's in the bedrooms were a plus with kids. Loved the screened in porch and and we enjoyed fishing off the dock. Beach access was great!

But, being able to fish and crab off the dock (something very unique to South Litchfield) will probably be a special childhood memory! What a great house! My family and I stayed at this cute little house during August '09 and had a wonderful time! It's a great place for kids, not too far from the beach and the crabbing dock is a perfect place for family time and photo ops! We loved every minute.

We had a wonderful stay at the Wessel's houes. This was our first time booking a beach house and the Litchfield staff was very helpful and patient. Check in was easy and Karen was very friendly when she came by the next day. (We checked in on a Sunday.) The location was great! The children loved fishing off the dock and the walk to the beach was easy. The house was very nice and we enjoyed hanging out there. The beds were a bit hard, but I ubderstand this is a rental property. =) We would love to stay here again, but with the baby being older next year we'll have to move up to a five bedroom. The picnic table was perfect for family dinners!

This is a great house. Plenty of room. Very well kept and a great kitchen for cooking. We have stayedin this home twice and love the view of the creek. This is a great home to stay in. I highly recomend it and would not want to stay in any other home after staying in this home.
