"We decided to take a family vacation this year and invite some friends along. We couldn't have picked a better house to relax and enjoy the beach! The location of this house is just a few minutes walk to the beach. The layout of the house is great in that every bedroom has a bath attached so there is no tripping over each other to use the bathroom. Great location a block and a half from the beach. Great house for 4 guys playing golf. Bedrooms are spacious with plenty of closet space. Sitting area is plentiful, however, a new flat screen televison would improve nighttime t.v. watching. Also, a grill for cooking outside would be nice. The porch is a great place to gather for drinks and conversation. Overall, a great place.

Tranquilzer was a great place to meet up with family coming in from different locations. With 4 bedrooms (and baths), screen porch, as well as large kitchen and eating areas, we never felt crowded or inconvenienced in any way. The basketball court, canal behind, and ocean a block away made for a wonderful vacation experience.

What a perfect name for this rental home! We had such a wonderful time. Loved having a bathroom with every bedroom. So many extras and all the comforts of home. The guys loved the dock and we all loved having only a 4 minute walk to the beach. We will definitely be back!

My family has been going to the beach almost all my life and we've rented many houses on Pawleys, Litchfield and North Litchfield. This is one of the best houses we've ever rented!! It beautifully decorated and furnished. The fact that every bedroom has it's own bathroom is totally awesome. The second floor bedroom is huge, almost like a suite. The only complaint we had is that the dishwasher seems to be on it's last legs. There were times we felt like the dishes didn't get clean and if the door is all the way open and both shelves are extended it almost seems like it's coming out of the wall. If the owners could replace it the house would be absolutely perfect!!!

House was dirty upon arrival, but the Litchfield Real Estate staff could not have been more concerned and helpful getting the house cleaned up immediately. Very good service. Yard needs work, overgrown bushes hiding view of creek. Outside shower drain stopped up so you stand in ankle deep water showering

I can't say what I liked least about the house except for the stained white carpet.
While we were there, the vegetable sink in the island leaked. Litchfield Realty was very prompt in getting a plumber to fix it (the trap had rusted through and needed replacing). We are thinking of going back again next year!! Wonderful home!Response from Litchfield Real Estate - 07/14/2010

Nice house inside and out. 2nd dock great for launching kayaks. Paddled out to ocean, just watch the tide. Short walk to beach, nice porches front and back. Rugs could use an upgrade. Overall a very friendly place to hang your hat!

The location is great so close to the beach and the marsch. It affords a variety of activities. (bikeing - rowing - walking on the beach and walking to breakfast. Having the linens there was very nice. The home is charming and comfortable very warm and friendly.
The best thing is the location and the size of the home. Very relaxing.
The location of the dishwasher makes it hard to reach the cups and glasses storage area. I was very curious about the white carpet---no matter how hard we tried we couldn't keep it clean. We were in and out so often.Response from Litchfield Real Estate - 12/04/2009

Thank you for sharing with us your Thanksgiving in Tranquilizer! It is a close walk to the beach, and the location on the canal is fantastic! We hope you were able to do some fishing while here...the flounder fishing has been wonderful this Fall! We will mention the location of the glasses and cups to the owner. Thank you for at least being aware of trying to keep the carpet clean! I'm sure the owner appreciates that! Come back and stay in Tranquilizer again - soon!

This house was a wonderful place to stay. The bedrooms each had their private bath.
Large families had plenty of room to cook and sit and eat together. The kitchen was laid out well and plenty of prep work space.
It was also a very easy walk to the beach and good for kids to ride their bikes.

We did not stay in Tranquilizer - we stayed at Edgar's Headache. It was wonderful. The only drawback with this house was that there was no wireless internet connection and the bedrooms need fans. Other than that- it was the perfect location -everyone loved the creek access as well as the short walk to the beach. The available linens were also nice. We will probably look for a house with these things next year - wireless internet- and fans in bedrooms. Thanks! Jamie Curry
