We had a fabulous stay at Villa Esplendorosa! The property was beautiful, gorgeous pool and view and walking distance to a private beach. The rooms were large and very comfortable beds. Margaret who manages the property was so helpful and did go above and beyond to make us comfortable help with anything we needed. Patro's cooking was fantastic- fresh ingredients, frech juices and smoothies. Our rooms were made up each day and we had clean and perfectly folded laundry. Our experience could not have been better and we look forward to returning next year!

The entire experience of staying at Villa Esplenderosa was amazing - from the service we received from the support staff (house manager, house chef, and maids) to the actual beautiful architecture of the villa to the exquisite location overlooking the Pacific the ocean.
The location was remote, but well maintained and patrolled by security. The villa was a 5 minute walk from a beautiful secluded beach, and a quick 10 minute drive into the center of Pedasi.
The amenities included a large well-equipped gym, a sauna, theater room, pool table, outdoor pool among other things.
The best thing about our stay was the daily meals that our amazing chef, Patro, prepared. We had lots of traditional Central american food - rice, beans, plantains, as well as more familiar dishes like BBQ chicken, salads, etc.
I highly recommend this property. -

Our group was blown away by this experience. First of all, the house is gorgeous, immaculate and very livable. The beds are huge and quite comfortable, the pool is fantastic, perfect temperature and clean. The best thing about this place is the service. Margret who manages the property went so far above and beyond the call of duty. She is pleasant and has an ear for picking up on anything you may desire, then making it happen! For example, some of us in our group were talking about how we juice veggies at home and the next morning we have the best carrot and beet juice at breakfast! This brings me to out fabulous Chef Patro! I have never eaten so well in my life. Patro made the most amazing food and deserts to die for! Ask for the passion fruit custard, incredible.
We also had a flat tire the morning we had to leave and Patro was kind enough to take us into town to get it repaired and we were able to get on the road and have a safe drive back to panama City. This is the absolute best place to stay, it is the whole package. Thank you Margaret and Patro!! -

Villa Esplendorosa es una casa muy bonita, de 3 niveles, con 5 amplias, limpias y bien mantenidas habitaciones, todas con a/C, baño, secador de cabello, walk in closet y caja fuerte, además de amplios jardines, piscina, área de barbecue, sala de cine y juegos, mesa de billar, wifi, etc.. Todas las instalaciones en muy buen estado, con limpieza diaria incluida.
Está ubicada en un área muy tranquila y vigilada, a pocos minutos de la playa. Sin embargo, recomiendo visitar Isla Iguana, para lo que hay que ir en auto por 25 minutos y luego tomar una lancha/panga por 15 minutos. El costo total del traslado (ida y vuelta) a Isla Iguana es de $60 por cada lancha/panga, con capacidad de 7 personas. En Isla Iguana hay que registrarse al llegar y pagar un pequeño fee por adulto ($4/residente o $8/extranjero), los niños no pagan, y las playas son muy buenas, de aguas cristalinas y sin oleaje.
La atención es esmerada desde el arribo hasta incluso después de la partida: dejamos algunos objetos olvidados y los enviaron inmediátamente a la dirección que indicamos.
Cualquier cosa que necesitamos, bastaba con decirlo a Margaret (Gerente) y lo conseguía rápida y diligentemente (comida, agua, hielo o cualquier otro artículo, lo compraron y luego le reembolsamos).
El Chef, muy atento y amable, cocina muy bien y se adapta a los gustos/requerimientos de sus huéspedes. Tuvimos comida de restaurant a precio de supermercado: llevamos los víveres/ingredientes e indicamos al chef lo que queriamos que cocinara. El servicio básico era de desayuno y almuerzo, pero por un módico pago extra el chef podía quedarse para preparar la cena.
Al regresar de la playa, queda relajarse en la piscina y/o tumbarse en las sillas/tumbonas alrededor de ella, con la música que quieran escuchar: tienen iPod docks y bocinas distribuidas dentro y fuera de la casa, así que recuerden llevar iPod/iPhone.
No tenemos queja alguna, quedamos muy complacidos.
De seguro volveremos. -

March 2012 was our second time going back to Villa Esplendorosa. Pedasi and Villa Esplendorosa are truly one of the most beautiful places we have ever been. It is rare to find a place that has remained unspoiled and free of development, but Pedasi has somehow managed to preserve its beauty and charm. The Villa is absolutely stunning. You can tell that alot of thought went into the architecture and construction. It is very much in harmony with the Panamanian lifestyle and makes you feel as though you are truly "away from it all". The staff is top notch and the villa remains very well kept with freshly laundered bedding during your stay. The rooms are enormous and give you privacy even if you are with a big group.
Our group consisted of fishermen who traveled from the northeastern United States. We left Logan airport on a cold damp morning and were greeted by warm weather, sunshine, and crashing waves. Our plan was to fish and explore the unique opportunities that Pedasi offers. We were never disappointed. Each morning breakfast was made by the in house chef and consisted of delicious local fresh food, fruits, juices, and of course coffee. Panama has arguably some of the best Coffee in the world. We would then pack up a cooler for the day with prepared lunches, drinks, and snacks and head off to enjoy the beaches, fishing, and sunshine. It is very easy to get around since there is only one road that you need to follow, so we rented a vehicle for our stay. The vehicle had been delivered to the villa and was arranged through the villa manager, Margaret. Small dirt roads lead to unspoiled beaches where you are the only one there. It was easy to spend a whole day at the beach just listening to the waves with palm trees and forests as your backdrop. When we arrived back each evening we would sit down for Dinners that had been wonderfully prepared. Desserts were always very well presented and delicious, I personally recommend the lemon sorbet.
Every day we were excited to see what new adventure we would have. Even though we had driven by scenery many times before it always produced a "wow" or "Look at that!" from within the car. The beautiful rolling hills and green vegetation could be likened to that of Tuscany.
The fishing is fantastic, the beaches are amazing, the scenery is inspiring, and the people are very friendly. Treat yourself to a once in a lifetime opportunity. -

Perfect for family and friends. Bedrooms are all totally private so everyone has space. There is an area for kids with an exceptional games room that has a pool table and a 100 inch screen for Dvd's. The swimming pool is magnificent and a really short walk to the beach. Margaret the Manager speaks fluent english. Patros the cook is excellent, we did not eat out once in a week. We drove from Tocumen which was just over 5 hours and would recommend a stop over before doing this and travel in day light. Also stick to speed limits as police are diligent and paying a fine could be a pain logistically. You can rent private planes to take you to Pedasi air strip and hire a care down there, needs a bit more organization and money but Margaret could guide you and this could be well worth taking out the drive as it is not the easiest right now as there are alot of road works. That said we did it. We loved been off the beaten track and in a home but within a short drive to Pedasi. There are a few beaches to explore in the area. Isla Iguana is a great day trip. Venao Beach for surfing and lessons is about half an hour away. Fishing can be organized with ease. Whale watching in certain seasons. Turtle Nesting too. I wouldn't be put off by the rainy season which starts now, it had a beauty of it's own. It is a great country for those wanting adventure and this house marries that with luxury. Will definately go back.

I went with a family of 8 adults and 2 young children and had a blast at Villa Esplendorosa. All the rooms were very clean and nicely decorated with natural and pleasant colors. The pool overlooking the ocean is amazing, you can spend the whole day just bathing, reading, drinking, etc.. All areas have loudspeakers with appliances for ipods. Patro, the chef, cooked and presented the dishes in a beautiful fashion while providing a great service. The sauna fits 3 adults and worked perfectly. Unfortunately the steam bath was out of service. It has a movie theater with very comfortable chairs and a big screen playing from a projector. Oh, I cannot leave behind the huge rooftop BBQ terrace cooled by the wind and with a beautiful view!

Absolutely fabulously designed and managed property. Five equal bedrooms, bathrooms, and too many amenities to list. Exquisite views, large pool, home theater, sauna, etc. Perfect for a large family gathering or for five couples to spend a few days. Property manager, chef and staff are accommodating, experienced and professional, surprising for such a remote location. Beaches, nearby towns, restaurants add to the experience. You provide supplies for meals and the chef competently prepares and serves. Any issue is promptly resolved by the property manager who also arranges activities. Staff is invisible. It is hard to leave the pool, the upper level party room is a unique feature. Highly recommended.

Nous avons passé une semaine entre cousins / cousines (adulyes et enfants) à lla Villa Esplendorosa. C'est l'endroit idéal... chacun peut faire ce qui lui plait (piscine, plage et mer, promenade, sport, sauna...) et il y a des endroits à vivre pour que tout le monde se retrouve, pendant l'heure de l'apéritif et/ou des repas. C'est vraiment parfait ! C'est super beau et super "class". Et l'accueil est excellent.
C'est vraiment le lieu idéal pour se retrouver entre amis ou famille.
et passer de super vacances !!! -

Villa Esplendorosa es realmente maravillosa. La casa tiene todo lo que se necesita (y mucho más!) para estar cómodo, saludable y felíz. Su arquitectura es genial, con miles de detalles que la hacen una verdadera obra de arte. Y aunque su entorno es precioso, es tan agradable y cómoda que cuesta dejarla. Tanto los niños como los adultos pasamos un fin de semana realmente Esplendoroso!

I went here with a great group of friends and we had an unforgettable weekend. Villa Esplendorosa is honestly the perfect place to unpack and just hang out, eat, drink, swim, read, sunbath, listen to music, watch movies (in the amazing home theatre), head to the steamroom, workout, walk to the beach...the list goes on. The staff was so friendly, attentive, and helpful. I truly hope that we can return one day soon and can give this place a high reccommendation - you won't be sorry. If you can get a solid group of people together and each pitch in, it is totally worth the money (and this is coming from a teacher!) once you include the personal service (the chef was amazing, it was such a treat), the gorgeous rooms/views/location/ammenities. Give it a shot! Thanks Villa Esplendorosa!

We have been to Pedasi many times before but this property is by far the best, kind of pure magic. Starting with a private chef who takes care of you (You just tell him what you want and he will prepare it for you) to a view right over the pool to the Pacific ocean, a movie theater, pool & poker table, a Turkish bath, sauna and gym.
They have the manager at the property who is there if you need anything, taking care of any language problems you might have (she is amazing and speaks perfect Spanish, English and French) and even surprising you with fresh French croissants for breakfast. You have to understand Pedasi is 4 hours away from Panama City and even there you only have a slight chance to find croissants.
We had the pleasure staying at Villa Esplendorosa along with 4 friends and had a blast the entire weekend. The house is almost too nice to leave it and explore the many beaches around, Pedasi town, Playa Venao (best surf spot in Panama), horse back riding, Isla Iguana etc. So if you do not have a car, no worries!
The house is huge, the first day we got a bit lost… We were only 6 people but I believe the house sleeps up to 12 people. Even with double the amount of our group this house would never feel crowded. You will always be able to find a quiet spot for yourself.
Both nights we had a BBQ on the rooftop – covered by a Bohio, listened to the breaking waves and enjoyed the cooling night breeze.
If you are addicted to Internet, need to check your emails constantly (like me) and need to stay in touch with reality – they have wifi. So you can sit by the pool and check your emails!
If you are looking for a getaway to be pampered with everything involved, appreciating the advantage of a secluded place but still be close to a town, enjoy a beautiful view & nature and are looking for some pure relaxation – that’s your place!
