We booked our Stay in Ocean Paradise over the internet, having high hopes from the beautiful pictures. On the day we arrived we were happy to discover that all of it was true. It really does look like the pictures, your very own castle for the week. Very dramatic with stone staircases and many windows, it doesn't scrimp on ambiance.
The house is set in Pelican Key, well within easy walking distance of the grocery store, Toppers, the beach, and a number of the bars and restaurants in the area. While I highly recommend a rental car, you don't require one to see most of the Key in quick fashion.
The house is large-- very large, with air conditioning in the bedrooms and large bathrooms. Great for a number of couples to share the house but still maintain ample privacy. Overall the house feels lived in, but very fresh and modern. Everything works and we experienced no problems. The pool and beach access is great, and it made for several evenings of snorkeling and lounging at the end of a fun day.
Kitchen is well appointed and able to cook easily for the maximum occupancy of the house. Lots of dishes and cookware, so no issues there.
In all, this house is a pricey, but great choice in the area. It offers space for 10 with ample room to breathe, beautiful views of the ocean, and is set in a very quiet neighborhood behind your the privacy of your own gate. We loved that it gave us access to nightlife but a quiet setting if we chose to have a night in. For a family vacation you can do no better-- it beats the hustle and noise of a hotel any day.
