Description
Our cottage sits on a small bluff directly overlooking Penobscot Bay. About 15 feet from the cottage deck is our private stairs, leading to the water's edge. The water is cold but is ideal for rowing and canoeing and kayaking. There are little islands nearby to explore, or you might like to paddle out into the bay and sit quietly until the golden seals pop up around you.
We rent the cottage by the week or multiple weeks. Our weeks run from Saturday to Saturday. The cottage is fully furnished with linens, towels, cookware, dishware, and glassware. It is cleaned and the laundry is done before each guest arrives.
There’s a nice-sized master bedroom with a queen-sized bed. In the dining/living greatroom there’s a daybed/sofa. That room has a cathedral ceiling and along one wall is the brick fireplace, while one entire other wall is windowed to look out across the water.
There are two charming, cozy sleeping lofts -- one of them looks across the bay and the other looks west, across a field. Each of these lofts has access via pulldown stairs. They each have futons and a little table with a little lamp on it.
There is one full bathroom; it is completely renovated and updated and has a shower stall.
The cottage kitchen isn’t large enough to eat in, but it’s not small, and the appliances are in good working order. There are no laundry facilities in the cottage, but there is a laundromat in Bucksport and another one in Blue Hill.
Across from the cottage is a tiny house. It was the bunkhouse for the cottage, but has been completely renovated and winterized. Guests renting the cottage on the property and wishing for additional living space that includes another bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen may also rent the tiny house at a discounted fee.
All well-behaved pets are welcome on our property. .

“Beautiful, peaceful very lovely”
