High Croft is one of 5 charming sandstone cottages, each well-equipped cottage is decorated and furnished with care to reflect its own character, the properties being maintained by the owners. High Croft is set within extensive gardens, situated on the edge of an attractive Cumbrian village, near the River Eden and surrounded by rolling farmland. The picturesque village of Great Salkeld, with a Pub serving excellent food, offers tranquillity, yet there is easy access to the lakes and mountains of the Lake District, the Scottish Borders, also the many interesting villages of the Eden Valley and Northern Pennines. The cottage is set within a hamlet of cottages and houses on the edge of the village of Great Salkeld with the pub 100 yds away, it has a local atmosphere and serves excellent food. The village offers tranquillity, yet there is easy access to the lakes and mountains of the Lake District, the Scottish Borders, also the many interesting villages of the Eden Valley and Northern Pennines.
